I give this place a one star, they don’t know how to do fades and this place is expensive????! Are you serious? It’s like they never heard of a fade before, great clips can do better cuts for this for $10 terrible.

The customer service from the woman at the front desk was amazing! Only reason this gets two stars. The woman who cut my hair said she was moving to LA in a couple of months (I can’t remember her name) I said I would like a bald fade... it was terrible, she used nuo guard then a one guard.. that’s it.. no fade.. also, she left tons of long hairs around my ears.

I got my hair done in 2019 my Junior Year Prom and I loved the look of my hair but this place is expected to be pricey but the staff was so nice and the area is so clean and beautiful

I called the Orange Pearl a few days prior to my arrival in town, and explained to the infinitely gracious Kate, a situation I had gotten myself into with my hair color, that I was only in town for a short time and attending a very special event while here, hoping that someone could help me with my color before the event. Kate listened to my concerns, understood what I wanted, had me send pictures, and was incredibly sympathetic to how important a solution was to me. She paired me with Angie. There’s really no way to accurately describe the gratitude I have for Angie’s incredible talent in the art and science of color. I presented her with quite a challenge (several layers of bleach and color mishaps). She flawlessly restored my hair to its original color and condition. I’m still in shock and awe, and immeasurably grateful to feel like “myself” again. I live overseas but will gladly wait until my next visit to La Crosse, to have my hair done again- Angie really is that good. The salon is beautiful, fun, accommodating, professional and comfortable. The entire process of my color correction exceeded any expectations I had of a positive salon experience. I absolutely recommend Orange Pearl, especially Angie for color.

Went in to check the place out firsthand then decided to try to make an appointment based on the reviews and Covid-19 sanitation practices/standards on website. The receptionist was very welcoming and professional. She & I spoke about the consultation process/what stylist to go with based on a quick overview of my specific short hairstyle pics.At my appointment, Angie & I reviewed pics and she was able to not only give me the short hair style I wanted but skillfully tailored it according to my face shape, new hair texture, short neck (let’s be real honest here) & on-the-go lifestyle. To sum it all up, I chopped off over 15 inches of a braided low ponytail & got a modern YET orginal, low maintenance ‘do (barely touches my shoulders but not the popular Lob) & it was worth every penny. Excellent experience. GO SEE ANGIE. Thanks, Orange Pearl!

For a while, Orange Pearl was my go to place. Knowledgeable staff meant I could get my hair cut by anyone and I would get an adequate cut. However, the prices arent set. The cost of a haircut or any service is based on the stylists experience. So as a stylist continues to work, her work increases in price. Thus, once I found someone I wanted to stick with, her services quickly fell outside of my budget. As a result, I wont be going back to this salon. I like to build a relationship with my stylist but that isnt an option at Orange Pearl. Being able to budget is even more important to me. Orange Pearl is kind of like prices roulette: they will get the job done, but the cost for the service is always a gamble.

I just went to Orange Pearl Salon for the first time to get my hair colored (for the first time). Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and treated me so kindly! Skye was my stylist and she was very sweet and did a great job with my hair! They always made sure I felt comfortable, too! Ive never written a review before, but I just had to say how excellent my experience was! (:

I get so many compliments on my hair color and that is truly because she is a professional at what she does. She takes the time to make sure everything is correct and she will make appropriate recommendations. I am always encouraging friends and family to go to Orange Pearl :)They have pretty awesome spray tans too.

AMAZING!! Honestly, I had such a great experience here! I donated about 10 inches and didnt really know what to do besides that. I gave my stylist (Karina) a couple reference pictures and she suggested stuff I wouldnt even think of based on my face/neck structure...and I LOVE what we came up with! She even styled it and offered styling advice since I havent had short hair in such a long time - everything from special blow drying tips for my hair texture to curling it with a straight iron. Such a big help!YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED! Very pleased with my new haircut and will DEFINITELY be returning for touch-ups and other services in the future.(plus the entire place smells amazing and I was offered coffee/other beverages right away. LOVED IT!)

Ive never been disappointed with the work the staff at Orange Pearl has done. The decor and atmosphere of the place is great, and the staff are very friendly and super knowledgeable. Best of all, they really listen to you and what youre looking for, and consistently deliver.

I went in for a simple haircut and received excellent service. Jada L. cut my hair and really helped me understand how to care for my hair and style it without pushing a bunch of expensive products on me. It was a little pricey but I was expecting that. I called ahead to get an idea of the price and was told that a cut would be $29. When I went to the front to pay, they said it would be $35. When I mentioned that Id been told it was a $29 cut, they quickly honored their original price.They also offered a student discount which was great.

Skilled staff. Stylists go through quite a bit of on the job training from very talented colorists and stylists. In my experience, they can do any style and color - from timeless and elegant to edgy and trendy. Personally, they have seen me through beautiful and perfectly done blue and purple to layered, professional and natural-looking hair styles.

The new salon looks and functions so fantastically! On top of that my hair turned out amazing. Karina did such a perfect job and made the experience all that and then some. I’m very happy with the result; 10/10 would recommend to any and all friends.

Raul was so sweet and knew exactly what to do with my vision for my balayage! I also love whatever they use for lightening/toning; my hair usually does not stay cool tone blonde, but this time it did! He also let me come back a second time just to make sure my hair was perfect; that was so thoughtful and kind! Overall just an amazing salon!

My entire bridal party and I came in to get hair and/or makeup done before my wedding and it was a great experience. Both my hair/makeup trials and day-of service were great and I was very happy with the end result. The staff was very easy to work with both in person and over email to get everything scheduled.

They get deep tissue massage. Wished I lived here, it would be my go-to place for massages. Staff is friendly. So happy I went.

My bridesmaids and I got our hair done here for my wedding last weekend. Hannah did my hair and makeup, and I loved it! I received so many compliments and she listened to every request I had. The other girls hair looked great, and they also provided breakfast. It was a little pricey for wedding updos, but they did a great job!

Got rescheduled to a person who didnt know how to do short hair cuts, and my hair IS a short hair cut. No pre-emptive questions while scheduling to prevent this. Another gal indicated that she didnt even feel comfortable doing pixies even after, 6 or 7 years of experience.They also told me Id have to schedule a color correction appointment, (which they said would be 4-8 hours, including additional highlights and color removal) for my overtoned blueish hair.I got home, googled it, and found a light pink/orange will tone it. Mixed a toner up myself at home, and voila, my hair is now platinum as I expected when I asked them to originally tone it.The fact that they didnt know this, ON TOP of not knowing how to cut short hair/use a clippers...Yeah. Im not rescheduling with anyone from this Salon. Yikes.

Great place, although expensive. Lady name Skye did my hair and did an amazing job and she even stayed until 10:30 to finish my hair even though they closed at 9, and still didnt try and rush it. Definitely recommend her and this place in general :) quite busy so an appointment is recommended

Thee most expensive and worst hair cut/color I have ever had. I had to go back twice because the hair color was nothing like what I had asked for. It was this grayish/brown color with two big streaks of brown on one side. My second time in, they put me with someone who was very new. He was very nice, but wasnt confident in what he was doing. He kept looking and touching my hair like something was wrong. He asked one of the girls for an opinion, and she was rude and didnt offer any suggestions. I was still there at closing, and felt very uncomfortable as the girls cranked the music, sang and danced as they left, like they were making fun of the poor guy who had to stay and finish my hair. My hair color turned out to be YELLOW and orange...like the days I grew up on the farm and had rust in the water. NEVER AGAIN!

The ladies were very professional and accommodating to what we needed. Easy to talk to and very friendly staff. They did our make-up for me and my friend who graduated college with her MASTERS. They made sure her husband that was in the wait area was taken care of with refreshments also. Great ladies! Thank you OrangePearl!!

Have been here a couple of times and finally decided to stop wasting my money. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was polite, but I never felt like I was truly welcome. Im someone who only gets their hair cut once in a while, but when I do (and pay almost $50) I expect it be a treat and walk out feeling confident and happy, but I never did here. I have curly hair and my stylist never offered to style it for me; she always just used a blow dryer and filled it with hair spray which I thought looked frizzy and unfinished. I asked her to straighten my hair once; she did, but she was noticeably annoyed. Just not the place for me and definitely overpriced.

I just went to the Orange Pearl for the first time and loved it. I felt welcomed and really enjoyed my experience! I am definitely going back and telling all of my friends to go there!

When I arrived for my spa day 2 mins late someone greeted me and took my jacket I told the girl I had an appointment for 11:15am and she told me to take a seat someone would be with me shortly. I then get a Facebook message 15 minutes later asking where I was. I told them Im sitting in the waiting area. Of course they apologize and showed me back to the spa area and asked if I would like some tea. Which I never got to pick out because I was then rushed into my massage. The massage was very good about the best part of the spa day. After my massage I got to take a spa shower which was nice but all the bottles where pretty much empty in the shower. Then I go in for my facial the girl was very nice I tell her I have combination skin but I have sensitive skin. I also let her know the products I had been using and my routine. I eventually get done my face feels a little tight maybe a little inflamed I then get a wash and blow dry and my spa day is done. It was very rushed and not much time to sit and drink tea or do anything between being rushed from one room to another. The other bad part is my skin is raw I went to sleep and woke up my face was red and raw not like a little red like my skin felt cracked and raw. Ive had hydro- facials, spa facials multiple times before and my face has never been so raw, inflamed, and sore. I am not a newbie for spa treatments and this is a first. Between being rushed and my skin looking like I have chemical Burns never again. The only thing on face in the pics down below is Neosporin because my skin is so raw. I usually dont write bad reviews but I feel like this was a facial gone wrong and I really wish I wasnt that way.11/12/19 Update someone got back with me from the orange pearl and have given solutions and tips on how to help me as well as sending me a little something in the mail. They where responsive and concerned and shows they do care about the customer even after something goes wrong.

Ive been getting my hair cut here since they first opened at their original location on 3rd & Pearl. The stylists are all very friendly, welcoming, and of course excellent at their jobs. The prices can be a bit premium, but youre paying for a premium service.

They are very skilled and experienced at Orange Pearl. They will treat you right and make the experience more than just a cut or color. Somewhat on the pricey side, but you definitely get what you pay for. Ive had only one minor issue over dozens of stops in, and that was just some purple shampoo left on my head...if thats the worst thing, you know theyre doing good things.

The stylist are first rate and they do great color, Chantel the owner, Keeps her staff up on latest techniques, cuts, and how to color hair. The results are always great. I have never had anything but wonderful reviews on my haircuts, colors and the staff respects choices and your own input. Best salon in town!

Ive been to many salons in my travels, the last excellent hair cut I had was in Chicago - at the Vidal Sassoon Salon- Cheyenne@ Orange just matched that cut- she is super nice- takes her time, offered options, just an overall great experience.

The haircut I received today was absolutely fantastic. Laura transformed my hair from the look of African bush monkey, to sleek, shiny, textured perfection. I couldnt be more pleased.

I have always had a great experience at Orange Pearl. The staff is very professional, personable and sincere. Shannon is amazing, she always gives me exactly what I ask for and makes recommendations without making me feel pressured or overwhelmed. My son had his first haircut there as well when he was 18 months old, they cater to all ages!

Seriously overpriced for a terrible hair cut and mediocre color job! I went in hoping to leave with an asymmetrical cut with the long point just below my jawline. The angle from the short side around the back was good until starting on the long side where she hacked the front from ear forward to be the same length as the short side. What? Seriously? I couldve done a better job cutting it myself!

Robbed! I went in for a simple buzz with the trimmers, and a couple of stragglers cleaned up from the beard. It literally took 15 minutes. I was charged $50 and she didnt even pick up a straight razor to clean everything up. Didnt even get a scalp massage, or shoulder massage. For $50, all of those things should be included. Rip-off!

Ive given this place several chances, and the past few times Ive gone there I have been constantly pressured with offers to buy expensive products or treatments, which makes it hard to relax and enjoy getting my hair cut. They also dont listen to what I want, dont seem to take an interest in my hair type and finding out what my daily hair routine is to make a hairstyle that suits it, and end up barely touching my hair and charging a very high rate. I dont think the experience or the service is worth the cost.

I have been going to Chantal at this salon since 2009 when I arrived with a chemical haircut. Over the years I have transitioned into a Balayage hair coloring. I am still blonde however more natural in appearance. The entire experience from start to finish is completely focused on great customer service. I would not go anywhere else!

I was looking to get bangs for the first time, and I had come across this place in town, my roomates had informed me that it isnt the best place to go to have any kind of service done, but I had wanted to try it out for myself. The stylist I got cut my straight across bangs rather unevenly and had cut to much hair to be a part of those bangs, other than that he layered my hair rather well. The only really good thing about that place is the atmosphere and hair products, thats about it.

Get a hot towel straight blade shave for an experience like no other. Treat yourself to a mani and pedi and see why she raves. Maybe a nice couples massage while your at it?

Nice atmosphere and friendly ladies but if youre planning on getting a gel manicure make sure you request a nail specialist.
