I called in asking if a massage would help with some specific pains I was feeling. The receptionist was extremely kind and helpful and communicated my pains to the massage therapist. The therapist (who came in on her day off!) really took the time to ask questions and understand where I was hurting. I was blown away by her sensitivity and knowledge. I really felt like she cared about helping me rather than just watching the clock. Every staff member went above and beyond, in my opinion, and I will sing their praises always!

Daniel really know what hes doing. I had some severe muscle soreness from overdoing it at weightlifting, and he fixed me right up. Most effective sports massage Ive ever received, great technique, and great attitude.

Daniel is amazing. I have constant back pain from typing 16 hours a day, and he is the only massage therapist Ive ever had who can make that pain go away and keep it gone for a month or more. He is great with deep pressure massage and really listens to what your needs are. Best massages Ive ever had, without a doubt.

I scheduled a surprise massage for my girlfriend here and she definitely left with the new experience and unexpectedness. The massage methods which they use are little different and I dont want to give it away and you should just go! just know that your body is going to get the proper massage it needs and you will come out feeling like a new woman or new man for that fact. It is also more of a local vibe feel so you dont get a franchise and know you are supporting local business in your community! Try to book ahead because I was very fortunate to get the same day. Will recommend to everyone I know and be a loyal customer for a long time to come.To elaborate on my experience I should first mention that I was very disappointed when I first realized that our “couples massage” would actually take place in separate rooms but once the massage started I completely forgot about my SO.. boyfriend who? HahaChris was so thorough and perfect, I felt like he knew exactly what I wanted and needed. The pressure was medium, just as I asked and full body. I’ve had a lot of massages but the entire atmosphere here and the massage therapists are the best!!Thank you Chris and Courtney!!

My wife got me a massage for Fathers day. One of the best gifts ever!! This was my first massage ever and Monika was the lucky one that got me, or was I the lucky one? She did a very well job for me. I told that it was my first time and she explained everything to me. The order in which things were done, asked if I had any concerns, applied a perfect amount of pressure, it was all very relaxing. Something that I never would have thought of the table was heated. And now the wife wants one too. I will definitely be going back!!

Meadowsweet will forever remain my favorite place for a massage - across the country, and I mean it! The staff is always professional, courteous and accommodating to my needs. This is a true healing place in its essence. Every time I find myself in Knoxville I try to treat myself to a massage there. You can feel the calming vibe as soon as you walk in the door. Massages never feel rushed here, unlike some other places Ive been. Everything is so peaceful and relaxing. Elodie is an extremely intuitive therapist and very strong when it comes to deep-tissue, but I have received wonderful massages from a variety of therapists there over the years. Its your money well-spent. Plus, youll always know youre supporting a small, locally-owned business. I cant say enough how much I love this place.

I had a massage with Shelagh today and it was one of the best, if not the best, Ive ever had. Shelagh used an amazing range of techniques in our hour-long session together. I was especially impressed by the deep pressure she was able to apply through use of her elbows and her knowledge of other healing forms, like Craniosacral Therapy. I left our session together feeling uplifted and with a genuine smile on my face. I really hope to have the chance to visit Meadowsweet again!

Walking through the door into Meadowsweet feels like taking a deep breath! Such a warm, welcoming, healing space. The therapists are skilled and intuitive, gifted at listening, figuring out what needs attention, and really zeroing in on trouble spots. As an athletic person who beats her body up on a regular basis I appreciate their willingness to dig deep to alleviate pain and tension. I always leave feeling looser and lighter than before, in both body and spirit. Keep up the brilliant work, ladies!

My first massage here was wonderful! I think my therapist was Christopher and while his deep tissue was intense, I left feeling completely relaxed and pain-free. Unfortunately, my second massage was disappointing. I explained to my therapist that I carry nearly all my tension in stress in my shoulders, to the point of it causing me considerable pain. I also told her I liked deep pressure. What I got was very little attention paid to my problem areas, which resulted in no relief of pain or tension. This is obviously very frustrating. Despite this bad experience, I will go back. It’s a local business that I enjoyed upon my first visit and their reviews speak for themselves. I think I just got matched with a therapist that wasn’t a great match for me.

Mandi helped me out greatly, Id highly recommend her for any massage. Mine is specific, sports/work injury related. She knew exactly what to do. She listened to my body so well. Calm and gentle.

My husband and I have been several times, each by 2 different message therapists (4 total). Everyone is awesome. I wouldnt waste my money going anywhere else. They give a great combo of deep tissue and relaxation. I leave with less knots, but certainly not in pain. I went there for maternity massages as well and it helped my pregnancy pains so much. Any time I need a massage, I will forever go here.

What I love most about Meadowsweet besides the quality of massage is the energy and atmosphere. I feel like Nickie and Elodie are people I can trust and relate to. Clean and inviting, their lovely storefront offers a calming environment with tea and a small selection of herbal products.They listen to what you need and what areas you really need them to focus on. The attention is fully on you the entire time and though they are true healers, they are also extremely professional. Nickie has a lot of strength and can give very deep tissue massages, so be very clear about what level of pressure you want.I would love more personalized follow up care in the future. For example, once the massage is finished, I would like a recap of places I need to focus on nurturing or ways I can improve my pain. Maybe a follow email or mini pamphlet letting me know what I need to do for follow up care and when I should return for more work. Perhaps other kinds of healing work I should look into for my specific needs.All in all I loved it and will be returning!

I had my first massage at Meadowsweet this week, and I cant say enough wonderful things about it. The atmosphere of the entire place is calm, relaxing, and comforting. Nickie took her time to go over my medical history and made sure she knew about any problem areas to work on. She made me feel very comfortable and seemed to really care about how I felt when I left. Not to mention the massage was incredible! I cant wait for my next massage there, and I plan to make it a habit!

She listens to your issues and not only focuses on those areas but gives tips for how to correct any problems through proper posture, stretches, supplements, etc. The atmosphere is very calming. You cant do better. I went here on the recommendation of several Knoxvillians when I was traveling and visiting family. Over the years, Ive used massage therapy to help with long term injury after being struck by a car and for migraine pain. Typically, it takes several sessions to gain the benefit the integrated therapies Meadowsweet provided in one 90-minute session. It was one of the most positive, helpful, and healing experiences I had. Shelagh was my therapist and devoted time to specific therapy for migraine that was successful. I scheduled an additional session before I left. Thank you so much, Meadowsweet! Your staff is wonderfully gifted.

I dont know what Id do without Elodie and Nickie! The massages I get at Meadowsweet are not only incredibly therapeutic but theyre also wonderfully relaxing. These ladies have the unique ability to zero in, finding muscle tension I didnt even know I had. I make it a point to visit them at least once a month, and have even had them come to my office to give 10-minute massages to each of our staff members -- those are the best days to be at work!

Disappointing...I purchased and booked a deep tissue massage for my husband’s birthday. When he got home I inquired about how it was and he said ‘okay’. I asked what he meant by okay and he said ‘it was one of those light massages’. If I had wanted and knew he enjoyed the boilerplate, light touch rubdown I would have purchased a discounted massage somewhere else instead of paying almost $100 at Meadowsweet for him to be disappointed. 😩

I had my first massage from Nicki today and all I can say is I wish I hadnt waited 44 years to try massage therapy. I havent felt this good in years. I honestly didnt know what to expect, but I am completely satisfied with the experience. Bought a gift certificate for my wife before I left and Im already looking forward to my next massage.

I highly recommend Meadowsweet Massage and Wellness, especially for deep-tissue and sports massages. Nickie is very talented and very friendly. I recommend the 90-minute massage, but the 60-minute massage is excellent, also.

This should be the massage place you want to go to if you want a legit and extremely relaxing deep tissue massage and get your knots and tension worked out. Ive been to a handful of massage therapists (including one in town thats top-rated) in my lifetime and Elodie is the best one Ive been to. I can tell she has such a precise knowledge of muscles and how they connect and work together.While other massage therapists glaze over intense areas or dont work them hard enough just so they can cover the whole body, Elodie actually focuses on and works out the most needed spots. But she also listens to your needs and what you want each time before you start the massage.Lastly, I love that each time afterwards she gives me tips on good and helpful habits (like how best to sit) and simple stretching practices to help my muscles, tensions, and knots; without being patronizing.Conclusion: If youre looking for a legit/tough deep tissue or whatever type of massage, this is the place to go and everyone is great here. :)
