Had my lasik surgery yesterday and today I am seeing 20/20. Prior to surgery my vision was 20/400 uncorrected. I highly recommend Dr. Woolfsen and his team. They are extremely thorough and organized. They explain everything to you before and after surgery and help to make you feel less nervous. I had wanted Lasik surgery for years and I am so glad I finally did it!

Dr. Woolfson is friendly, detailed, & takes the time to make sure the entire process is perfect, tailored exactly to you, & you are comfortable.Everyone answered all my questions, have followed up after the surgery, & I am now seeing near 20/10 (after being very nearsighted).5 stars. This is definitely a “special place for a PRK or LASIK surgery in 21st century. You wont see the doctors and laser machines here for laser surgery in normal days. They (doctors and machines) are all on the truck and traveling around. There are only a few empty rooms in David Smiths place for your surgery which are only filled with equipment on the so-called surgery day.Before the surgery, you can see Jonathan once, he would give you a very brief examination and then tell you if you are suitable for PRK or LASIK (only these two). (their staff even doesnt know the new techniques which have been developed so far). Then on the surgery day, you would see him one more time. After that, you are left with David Smith. David Smith is just a ordinary doctor with a very limited knowledge on laser surgeries in Knoxville. This means if you have a problem, it is very difficult to see Jonathan. You would have many useless conversation with David Smith. (David Smith even said the lotemax would mess up your eyes if you use it for more than a week....)Can you imagine that for my surgery here, even nobody told me to watch the red spot....In the middle of the surgery, Jonathan stopped the laser and told me to focus on the red spot.....David Smith is a good person but not a good doctor..Jonathan Woolfson is kind of a good doctor but not a good person, he is rude and extremely difficult to meet again after your surgery. They are doctors and equipment on-the-wheel.FIND A LOCAL DOCTOR FOR YOU SURGERY WHO ARE STATIONED IN KNOXVILLESee that truck?

Ive wanted lasiks all my life and Dr wolfson made my dream come true and he was very easy to deal with. Very kind the whole time. Id recommend him to anyone I know. Hes done over 100k eyes and he made mine better then perfect! I now have 20/15 vision! Its amazing to see life so clearly again.. im very happy I finally made the decision to get lasiks. Its the best investment u can ever make for yourself!

Everyone in the office is amazing and really makes you feel comfortable. David was hilarious and great for getting serious information to you with a little laugh before the procedure. Dr Woolfson also has that fun dry humor, which I love, and was so kind for the whole processes. Loved how he let me know the start of each step so I wasnt shocked by anything and I was amazed at how quickly both eyes were completed.I have to say the little tote bag we get is the best thing ever! I just keep my drops and eye covers in there. I carry that bag with me everywhere and it has my phone in it for a timer so I never miss my drops. The bag really is just a simple idea that makes life a little easier.At my 1 day post-op appointment I already have 20/20 vision, its just insane!Overall I had the best experience, I dont really use social media but even felt compelled to post about this on my fitness Instagram account. Never thought Lasik would be fun and easy, so thank you! I look forward to my husband going through this once hes ready!

Best thing I’ve ever done. The staff is great. Dr Woolfson is the best. PRK is not a walk in the park but if you do what the doctor tells you and get lots of rest it’s all so worth it.

12 years ago and Still 20/20! I had been wearing glasses since I was in Kindergarten. I couldnt see without them. I did my research and found Woolfson. I followed all the preappointment instructions and was ready for the surgery. I remember being excited and nervous at the same time. The staff took exceptional care of me and turned it into a celebration. Today Im still at 20/20 vision and its amazing!

Getting Lasik eye surgery with Dr. Woolfson and his staff is one of the best decisions Ive made. I have had no problems at all and can now see perfectly all the time.

Dr. Woolfson was able to use LASIK to correct worsening vision in my left eye, which had 16 incisions from RK surgery more than 20 years ago. No other LASIK provider in the area would even consider LASIK as an option because it was too risky. Dr. Woolfson, however, had specialized equipment in his Atlanta office and was confident he could help me because hed already done thousands of similar procedures. Two years later, and Im still extremely pleased with the results! I highly recommend Dr. Woolfson.
