Definitely one of the most caring and attentive doctors that Ive met at UT hospital. My dad was diagnosed with stage IV esophageal cancer and you could see the pain in his eyes knowing that he had to put my father on a palliative care treatment. Ive had some bad experiences there, but he kept my dad alive long enough that was able to see his final goals realized. While I dont like many of the doctors at UT-Knoxville, this is one of the few that shows a great deal of empathy and sympathy with his patients and their loved ones.

We trusted the good reviews. We trusted the low and slow chemo plan this man presented to my grandmother after her follicular lymphoma diagnosis on March 7th. Aljidir stopped her lasix (which she was taking for an acute episode of Congestive Heart Failure..and has been 100% under control)...and never communicated with the prescribing physician. He then instructed her to come once..sometimes twice a week for fluids to prepare for her 1st dose of chemo. She had her 1st treatment on a Thursday and passed away the following Thursday due to double pneumonia and fluid inside the sac around her lungs. He saw her on a Monday and assured us her shortness of breath was a side effect of the chemo. She was admitted that Thursday and passed away the following Thursday, despite many antibiotics and max doses of IV lasix. This man is responsible for my grandmothers demise. We will be looking into this being negligence or malpractice. I will share this story as many times as I need to to be sure that no one, in a vulnerable position, trusts this man. He was too quick to start treatment and was everything except thorough. He was the equivalent of a used car salesman when describing the course of treatment. PLEASE...use anyone but this man..
