My wife had to spend three days in the hospital. During those three days, every single member of their staff were outstanding. Kudos go out to everyone on the eighth floor of the east wing. Especially those who came into room 826. These people are everything you could hope for in the health care profession. They were caring, understanding, and patient. They took all the time we needed to answer questions, make sure we were comfortable, and understood what was being done to help us. My wife Vicki and I appreciate everything that was done for us.Thank you, Greg and Vicki Gentry

Ive had nice experiences with UT Physicians as a whole. The wait time here can be hit or miss and often I spend more time than what was first intended. I dont really get detailed instructions when it comes to procedures unless I ask or its the day of. The receptionists have all been very helpful and warm. Overall I like coming to this facility. These doctors, nurse, and practitioners are absolute angels! They took such great care of me. Highly recommend this hospital. I cant wait to have my baby boy here! There are people complaining about waiting times, but what do you expect? This is literally the best hospital around. I waited for so long for amazing help and it was so worth it. Thank you UT. Admitted for covid and pneumonia. Was treated like an animal because I did not get the vaccine. ICU nurse named Collin very unprofessional and belligerent with me because I was unvaccinated. Cussed me and told me I wasn’t worth his time to save. Once let out of icu they did everything they could to keep me here as long as possible to collect the money the hospital makes to keep people. I had to beg them everyday to work with me and get my oxygen levels down and they refused. I got one good nurse out of the whole deal named Jessica. Working with her in 2 days I went from 70L of oxygen to 1-3. She was hesitant to help but I kept pleading that I knew my body and it was time to be weened off. The doctor would talk nice to you in front of your face that I had but he lied constantly. I was told once I got down to 3Liters or less that he would discharge me. I went through all their hoops and was stable with no oxygen but he refused to let me be released. Wanted to keep me for another overnight observation. If this place isn’t a money scam I don’t know what is.

My mother was admitted after a fall in the nursing home. No communication from the doctors and nurses treating her. I called several times a day just to get a check up on my moms condition no response from anyone. I finally received a call from the doctor on duty who came across as aggravated that he had to call me back. I know hospitals are short staffed because of Covid-19. My mother was admitted to the emergency at 7pm I did not complain about the the fact I knew nothing about her status till 3 hours after. The fact she was wheeled into the hallway in emergency and layed there for 5 hours until she was assigned a room in emergency. It was the no communication with anyone after she was admitted to the hospital that was upsetting to me. Taking out your frustration on someone who has a family member in your hospital is not professional at all and I will avoid using UT hospital in the future.

First off, this hospital charges $10 to get out of the parking lot. $10 dollars to park your car. Some of the doctors have ridiculous office schedules that make it damn near impossible to get an appointment that works with my schedule. The medical care isnt bad, unless youre a mother in labor. If you are, you had better try to make the delivery time as convenient for the doctor as possible, or else hell get huffy.

Half of the nurses there are very horrible! After my car accident I had to go there for a couple days and the whole time I was there I had some nurses that ignored me, wouldn’t help me pee (I ended up having to lay on my bed and pee on myself) wouldn’t get the doctors to write me anything for pain even tho I fractured my vertebrae’s in my spine. After I was admitted I had been hung up on all night. Barley giving anything. Then was rushed out to be discharged. I gave this place a 2 because of that but I did end up having 2 wonderful day nurses that went above and beyond to help me get me whatever I needed and keep up with my pain meds to make sure I don’t hurt! I wish I could remember their names. But over all I will never step foot back into that place again they better send me to Lexington!

Scheduled my surgery knowing I would be recovering for a couple weeks , first they told me it was going to be a specific price then waited till the day before surgery to let me know it now went up like $1000 more dollars . Well they went ahead and took me back for surgery without me paying right then which I thought I was supposed to and had everything ready to pay even though they switched up the price on me and then it was to late to get it done at another hospital which would have been a lot cheaper ! So after surgery while I’m trying to recovery I get a phone called saying they have now changed the price again if I didn’t pay what was owed which was around $1900 and if I didnt pay by that day it was going to change to almost $13000!!!How is this possible!!! I am not happy with this at all!!!

Instead of them getting frustrated cause they cant draw blood from.me maybe they should listen to me when I tell them where everyone else has been able to draw blood. As far as the wait its always packed anytime i been here or their are no rooms available. I got here around 7pm and was told it will prob be sometime in the morning before I see a Dr. With that said i know the emergency room is seperate from the actual hospital. When I did get a room all those nurses and doctors were so nice and very helpful

Worst 13 hours of my life. I am someone who has extremely high patience but. Not only did I wait 8 hour in the Emergency room just to be seen, I was sent home with simple instructions to eat better food. My bowel movements have been straight black and bloody for 3 months, I showed the staff pictures and they did one CT scan. They told me to eat better. When I initially got there they put a IV in my hand, and used no sensitivity, I was so scared. The Dr’s and emergency staff did not seem to care at all and simply wanted to push me along with little to no help. I went in and left exactly the same, I haven’t been to a hospital since I was a little kid and now I know why. It took me 3 months to get up the gut to realize something was wrong with me and go, the pain is simply unbearable. If you have a emergency UT medical center is NOT the place to go.

NEGLECTFUL and SHORT-STAFFED!! If zero were an option that would be a better choice. A handful of nurses and CNA’s deserve a promotion but for the most part, you do not want this staff caring for anyone in your family.Food trays come 1.5-2 hours late. Respiratory has to be paged up to 9 times for a breathing treatment. Not enough staff to turn patients in beds to keep them comfortable. When you call for a nurse it can take up to an hour. Most nurses are “floaters” and have never been on the floor they are working. Nurses do not have time to review patients charts prior to shift change. Zero consistency w/ nurses and CNA staff. Choose a different hospital or avoid floor 6.

He had provided me with his cell phone number and immediately called in pain med orders in the total lack of response from the residents or interns. Now we are in post op day one after an amputation of a leg on an 85 year old woman (my mother!). I was informed at 3pm that she would be transferred from ICU to another floor…room 961. And Ive noticed more attention to profit in some cases rather than care but, there are some really good doctors here nonetheless. That aside Ive learned the value of second opinions. Ive noticed a trend at UT Family Physicians Clinic here. Thats the total disregard for the patients feelings on having a student or random resident entering the room in situations. Its very disrespectful and bad doctoring. I realize its a teaching facility and on some days Ive been okay with it but recently had a situation that I was very uncomfortable with and I already had a lot going in medically but my doctors attending physician made a judgment call to bring in a new resident without my permission. I wasnt happy and told her NO. She was upset and a little embarrassed. I ve had in the past two other surgeries here each time great experience. I need 5 more additional surgeries .Except I dont know about coming back for physicians or surgeries because the equity groups manages the prices. the one star is for prices & they may use spinal block on you for pain control, its combination of things together. Please look up equity groups taking over hospitals. The ER here which I need couple times a year for chronic issue is titled UT but is run by Southeastern emergency physicians $$$$. Sad i am learning to deal with suffering but its a sin that a great hospital in my opinion has been ruined by equity group. I read Blackstone management of Southeastern & team health. I hate having to lose health care when I have two insurance and still looking over the billing the cost is unreal for outpatient. I thought unreal before but not compared to now. I pray that I dont end up needing to stay in hospital or nursing home. My insurance is manage by Blackstone so their getting paid from both ends and setting the prices. Got a monopoly 🤪

On July 27th 2020 my son Elijah Thomas Ray Bryant was born sleeping. I’m about to tell you about how my experience went with this hospital. Around 20 weeks, they told me my son had a rare genetic disorder can renal agnisis. It’s where the baby either has no kidneys or no function. I started to contract when I was 30 weeks pregnant and whenever I went to the hospices they told me that he had no heartbeat so I was on a process to delivery. The nurses was absolutely amazing but the whole rest of the whole process is not what anyone would want for them or the baby. They told me that they could give me a option to do a genetics test on him so that we could see if any of our genes or his have a disorder in our genes. They took him away for about 20 minutes snd they came back with him. I checked him underneath to see if they took tissue off like they said. I didn’t see any taken off but I didn’t know. They told us the test would be sent back to my High risk doctor to where they would call me in 6 weeks to come in or call to get the results I’ve been calling scheduling appointments forever but everytime they send me to the hospital where they don’t know what I’m talking about. I just lost my son I don’t deserve this. Now to this day nothing was taken and now we have my babies ashes so we can’t do this type of testing anymore. I miss my son and this just makes it all worse. 💔
