Nicole and Emory were fantastic. Very compassionate and caring. I am so thankful that they were there to help me. Nicole save my life and had the courtesy to tell me what was going on and have me the medications I needed.I appreciate your team. I will recommend them to anyone seeking urgent care instead if Going to the hospital, which does not have compassion or respect for their clients. thank you thank you

I recently went in to have some testing done and initially the office was excellent aside from the horrendous waiting time. A week after my initial test I was called and told I needed to return in order to redo the test as they had “lost” my other sample. I went in after that phone call and re-took the sample. 2 weeks have now gone by without a word from them regarding test results. I have called numerous times and not once has anyone picked up the phone. It’s kind of ridiculous that as a medical provider you leave your patients on the phone ringing for 45+ minutes and not a single worker can answer it and at least put you on hold. I don’t see a point in having front office staff if they don’t know how to answer a phone when someone calls. Once I have my test results I will stay far far away from this place and go somewhere that might actually care for their patients. If you need any medical help I would never recommend this urgent care. They are far from urgent.

Thank you for your help and for being open on an early Sunday morning! The hospitals and ERs have been insane the since covid began so Id rather they focus on life saving emergencies. Im sure youve seen your share too and Im grateful to have gotten in quickly. The medication the doctor prescribed for a spider bite with an infection and swollen lymph nodes improved the infection, swelling and therefore the pain by half in less than 24 hrs.I dont live in Klamath Falls anymore, just visiting a couple weeks.Thank you for being open and diagnosing me so quickly! So I went to urgent care with what I thought were a couple of spider bites on my neck. I was told it was $100 for the office visit I paid them $100 and now they are sending me a bill for $258. Lady on the phone tells me I just paid a co-pay. Which was not true. The doctor didn’t even touch my neck didn’t even get near me and he was in the room for 10 seconds. And I’m not exaggerating. $358 they want, for a 10 second conversation and some antibiotics. Never had an issue when it was Basin Immediate Care. In my opinion you’re better off going to the hospital it’s gonna cost you just about the same.

If I could give them less than 1 star I would. Went for a refill of medications for a workmans comp injury. Waited 3.5 hours in the waiting room. Got back to see NP, vitals were taken and I was asked the reason for my visit ( which I had already written on the paper they had asked me to fill out). When I stated I needed a refill of pain medications, the MA’s attitude and demeanor changes immediately. She gives a little “hmph” and states the NP will be in to see me in a moment. She returns less than a minute later stating that the NP would not be filling my medications because it was too soon. I explained to her that it was not too soon and proceeded to show her exactly that. She again leaves the room and comes back stating that not only will the NP not be refilling my prescription but that she wasn’t even going to SEE ME! I asked that the NP at least come and explain face to face why she was refusing care. Again the MA left the room. She came back shortly after and stated again “ We are not going to refill your prescription and if you don’t leave we are calling the police”. I was in complete shock! I have NEVER in my life had the police called on me, EVER! The absolute refusal of the provider to provide any care was astonishing to me. No exam, no conversation, no RESPECT. This isn’t my first bad experience here which is why I hadn’t been there in over a year. I only went because I was told I had to for workmans comp. Your facility and this provider should be ashamed. Nobody should ever be treated this way. I am a healthcare provider. I assure you, if I treated my patients the way I was treated at your facility, I would be unemployed!

Go ANYWHERE else than here. Not only is the service incredibly slow (3+ hours no matter what time you show up), but the care I ended up receiving was very poor. I went in for a suspected eye infection and after waiting over 3 hours, the practitioner didnt even examine my eye or look at it closely with any type of instrument. I only received approximately 2 minutes of care, and they just assumed it was pink eye, gave me eye drops and sent me away. What if it had been caused by some sort of debris in my eye? They wouldnt have known.

On 4/262021, I slightly injured my eye and was nervous about possible damage. I appreciate the friendly and professional interaction with those at the front desk and very much appreciate the system they have for patients signing in. Because they were busy, it was going to be a long wait and to make it easier on me, they allowed me to take the prep paperwork with me to fill out and return later at an assigned time! I was able to complete the paperwork and wait in my home; a much better situation. What a great way of doing it! When I returned, I waited a very short time before being called in. Because of the anxiety I felt about just being in a doctors office and the concern for my eye, I greatly appreciate the calm and reassuring manner of the medical assistant as she took my vitals; she said the things I needed to hear to keep anxiety in check. It was the same with the Doctor; she was kind and thorough and explained what she was going to do in simple terms. It was a very good experience for such a situation. I highly recommend this medical facility; they care about PEOPLE!

So far (second visit) Ihave had very good experience at this place with Mr Hamlin and staff. I am a retired family practice doctor so know the experience from both sides. of the system (retired due to health concerns and due to being burned out due to all the paper work and gov and insurance (and worries I would be sued due to no fault of my own but failure “dot an I on the paperwork”)..At my age that would have been disastrous to my physical, mental, and financial health). I have always worked in rural community health centers and was net ahighly paid physician due to this. Most of my patient were good people and good patients but a few were entitled and these were very demanding. Anyway I know how it is to work in a primary care setting where the doctor is expected to be everything for everyone: doctor, mental health councillor, social worker, chronic pain doctor, addiction doctor, transportation coordinator☺️😙😀, etc..I got burned out and me physical and mental health suffered and I am glad I am retired. I always did my best to help patients and I do know most of them appreciated that. So I know what challenges doctors and other health provider have daily. I am also a Medicare patient with only a fair income and do not uSe my hex to get special care. This clinic has only one provider (a PA) who seems to know his stuff and is efficient and conscious but is associated with a urgent care clinic so care is available most hours.Treat your health care team with care and understanding this time of stress due to COVID and for family,.community and self GET VACCINATED. Don’t be entitled, stupid. Or selfish..(l also worked in infection disease control si I know what I am talking about. DONOT trust or believe politicians, internet influencers, antivaccination conspirators or celebrities who do not know what they are talking about. I went in for a pre employment physical thats required by my workplace to work, after completing the physical, they were suppost to fax over these records to my employer well its been a week now and they have not done this yet. When I call and ask again they feed me lies about how its gone through when clearly it has not. When I requested these records to be sent to myself they refuse to do even that sighting my own email isnt a secure way to send it. There is not a medical facility in the United States that will refuse to provide their own patient there medical records. Luckily my employer will no longer be using this business for physicals and theyve lost a customer for there massive incompetence regarding this situation. Whoever reviews this review and responds with an apology dont bother your apology isnt going to reimburse the weeks worth of missed pay that was entirely your fault nova health is a complete and udder waste of time and energy half the employees waste time gossiping and chit chatting in front of patience instead of working and their only response is repeated lying and excuses. UPDATED: CHARGED FOR TORADOL INJECTIONS FOR EARACHE NEVER GIVEN. CHARGED FOR FIRST TIME VISIT AS A NOVA PATIENT.$513.27 for 5 minutes to see a nurse practitioner. I see others have commented here on the cost, but it’s the trust that was built over the years as Basin that came as a shock when the bill was 5 times more than before. I’ve seen that someone from the Nova Corporation will come on after this post and comment from the apologizing for the shock of the bill, but there really should be someone informing about the cost at the time of checking in and not just a deposit of $100 and then a steep bill a day or two later.Be aware of the cost!! When your sick and hurting you’re vulnerable. After years of using Basin Immediate Care I thought Nova Health would be similar. They aren’t. On a Sunday morning we scheduled a 10:00 am appointment online, arrived on time. We gave our credit card and payed $100. After waiting 2 hours received a 5 minute consult for an ear infection, and got a prescription. 48 hours later we received a bill for $513.27.There are other options, such as online visits, driving to Medford.UPDATED: We did call as the Nova response said below and learned about the additional charges. They gave us a self pay discount of 20%. Still steep. Then we were told the charge was high because we were first time patients of Nova (not Basin). I could understand an increase in charges if it were a comprehensive visit, but not a 5 minute one. So it wont matter that you went there before. Heres the big one. Since the provider says Toradol injections were given they take his word for it. They have the lot number of the injection on our statement. So that would be a HIPPA problem, wrong patient documentation problem, possible theft, addiction problem....something problem, but instead the billing person just wanted to tell me they were taking the word of their provider.Just be aware. This was more than disappointing to see happen to our small community.

Unbelievably painless visit from beginning with making the appointment to walking out the door with staff saying Goodbye have a nice day. Ive lived in Kfalls for nearly a decade, and have been beat up badly by Sky Lakes. I cant go in to detail, but for me they would be best utilized for ER services only. I was also a former Basin Care patient, so when I learned Nova took over I was SO happy. If anyone doesnt notice, Sky Lakes owns this town medically speaking. To have staff at Nova listen to what I was saying, to showing obvious sincere care, to being friendly, to being accommodating, I cant stop thinking about all the positives I experienced yesterday. If you read some of these negative reviews, sometimes waiting happens, especially in doctor offices right? I can say I felt heard. Both by MA Rachel and PA Hamblin, so just maybe they had to spend a few more minutes, but next time it might be you that needs a little more time, so just be patient. Id rather go to a doctor that listens, than one who is on time as I feel like a heard of cattle. Brenda in radiology I think should be a comedian, she is so funny, and the ladies at the front desk were so efficient and kind. Thank you NOVA!!!!!!!

I came here not realizing it was no longer Basin Immediate Care. I needed a tetanus shot and my normal doctor is closed on Fridays, but its recommended you get the shot within 48 hours of being cut so that is how I ended up at Nova. The front desk will take a $100 deposit and they tell you they wont know the billing charges and everything is handled by the corporate billing department, even when asked upfront for the cost. I didnt think the total would be much over $100. Im self-pay and dont have insurance. I was seen by the doctor for a minute to tell me my cut was clean, as I already knew it was, and I was seen by the nurse for 5 minutes to receive the shot. I was quite shocked when I received the bill and saw the remaining balance was $182.44 (in addition to the $100 I already paid).  They put it under medical services instead of having a detailed bill. I called the billing department to ask for a breakdown of the bill and was told the charges were $207.63 for an office visit and $145.43 for the shot (so a total of $353.06 with a $70.62 self-pay discount). When I asked why I was being charged so much, she told me since I saw the doctor there was a standard office visit charge. I know its not legally required to disclose medical prices in Oregon, but if theres a standard office visit charge that is that expensive, it would be nice to know upfront. Im writing this to warn others who are self-pay that you will be charged close to $300 for your visit. The doctor and nurse I saw at this location were nice. However, I will certainly never return and will never support this company due to their lack of transparency in billing.

I called to figure out why I was being charged and the guy said I talked to my manager, I guess our system is trying to charge people even though their insurance covers it. We took care of it though, you dont have to make a payment. Love the effort on helping me not have to pay for something that my insurance covers, but also that means theyre charging unsuspecting people who dont call to figure out why theyre being charged for something they should be getting for free. If you know your insurance covers covid testing, yet they still send you a bill CALL THEM! Dont let them charge you!

I asked her why wasn’t the Covid symptoms checked in very first. She had no explanation. The older gentleman that was fifth in line didn’t have Covid symptoms as you can hear everything in that place. So as I am sitting there 30 minutes later after my original check in time two more people checked in. The proceeded to call the elder gentleman that was checked in after me. Again the receptionist laughed. After I asked her what was going on. Your front office staff is very unprofessional. The best youll get here is a Nurse Practitioner. Not a real doctor. Theres a difference, and the other reviews point out those differences in multiple instances. Ive had to go here three times. Each time was simply because I didnt want to be charged $1.5k at Sky Lakes before my insurance would begin covering anything. The out of pocket costs here are reasonable, they have some testing and imaging abilities, staff are a work in progress and showing improvement, but are still a long way off from excellence. The complaints that staff will discuss you while you are there are true, and possible HIPAA violations are a risk due to lack of sound proofing/conscientiousness on the part of various staff. The only nurse practitioner I would trust is Melissa Sample. Shes compassionate, actively listens, shows empathy, asks how she can best help you and is honest about whether that goal is a reasonable expectation within the care limits of an urgent care facility. Id rate her 5 stars, but overall, this facility currently, despite many improvements that Ive seen during my various visits over the years, is far from a five star. I do recommend people to know and understand the differences between Emergency Care and Urgent Care prior to going to ER for a tooth ache, and trying to seek care for a severe injury or trauma at an Urgent Care facility.

On this last Friday my wife and I were in Klamath visiting family. Our 20 mo old son became sick on Thursday night, and on Friday we called a pediatricians office a friend recommended. They didn’t have any openings but told us to take him to Basin Immediate. We used the online check in system and arrived 2 minutes early. My wife took our son in and was taken into an exam room to finish paperwork. After 45 minutes of waiting and 20 minutes straight of our sick child screaming she stuck her head out and asked someone if they knew approximately how long the wait would be. Mellissa Sample told her she had other patients, she was the only provider on duty and we would be seen when she was done. At this point an aide came in 10 minutes later to weigh my son and take his temp. No word on when we would be seen. After another 45 minutes, my son had had two instances of diarrhea and was terrified, dehydrated and needed to eat. My wife went out and found Sample at a computer. She asked how much longer the wait would be since my son wasn’t doing well. Same answer was given (angrily) and that “you shouldn’t have gone to a walk in clinic if you wanted to be seen right away.”My wife asked if she was the doctor and she said she was. My wife said “that’s terrifying” and Melissa replied “if you think that’s terrifying you should go somewhere else.” I was a patient of BIC many times as a child growing up in Klamath. Dr. Moore was always kind, and yes sometimes there was a wait time, but I never felt like I was a burden to the staff for being there. After over 100 minutes of wait time, and feeling ignored and threatened, my wife took our son and walked out. We were able to get advice on the phone from our regular pediatrician and thank God our son was fine. If he had truly needed a healthcare provider to see him he wouldn’t have been able to get care from these people. I am a healthcare provider myself and I am ashamed for your clinic. I hope your owner doctors see this and wake up. You left a sick toddler without care. You were not compassionate. The reviews your other patients have left tell a story, you are failing and only a backwards place like Klamath Falls would allow you to still be in business.

Dr. Sample was very helpful and considerate of my condition and symptoms I was having. Also had a follow-up call with a Technician (Brenda), and she was extremely polite and helpful. They gave great advice and I felt comfortable with her diagnosis and direction.

Disappointed that they are unable to hold up to their name. Unsure if it’s due to the lack of receptionists or lack of medical staff. Took an hour to get told that someone would fetch me and then another 20 mins waiting for that someone. Unfortunately, I do know that their service is superb hence the 2 star. But to wait an hour and a half for walk-in care is similar to just going to the ER.

Bad, they are very picky on the insurance they take, wait time run up to 3 hours, and they lie to customers constantly, very young and inexperienced people in the office as well, I would like to also state that they want everyone to pay 100% out of pocket for their first visit, these people have completely lost the plot and lost all dedication whatsoever to actually helping people get better and are 100% focused on money. These are the type of people that should not own a business and definitely should not be in the hospitality or health care business. In all honesty, they are Crooks and should be shut down and fined.

This place is a joke. I just watched a mom with a disabled child get told that the only way they could see her child was if she paid for the entire visit up front. Reason? They didnt accept the chikds SECONDARY insurance, therefore they refused to bill his primary just in case the primary didnt cover the whole visit. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.

With the lack of physicians in the area, Basin Immediate Care has been much appreciated. The staff goes above and beyond being an urgent care clinic, offering follow-up help. Its online appointment site keeps us from sitting in the waiting room. Weve been here numerous times and have worked with each doctor on staff. Its a quality place.

Let me start by saying the staff was very rude and very slow the first time walking in there. Went to two appointments due to a work injury that affected my working ability just so that Dr. Moore could be ignorant about it and say she couldn’t do anything about my case and that it was my problem now.

Basin Immediate Care is very different than most hospitals, clinics, doctors offices that I have visited over a long period of time. This is long review to give context for this very positive review. If you prefer to read short reviews then you can stop at the end of the next sentence. Basin Immediate Care is good. This is the type of review that is relevant to me so I wrote it for someone looking for a review with a lot of relevant detail. I have lived throughout most of North America and see a doctor at most twice a year and half of those visits is for preventative care. I do not have a deep knowledge of health care, but I am very interested in understanding its weaknesses and strengths to prepare for when I will use the system more often. I am also observant remain mostly objective so I will share my thoughts from a recent visit.I am new to the area and attempted to establish a General Practice doctor in case of an urgent need. I have not posted a review of this doctor and the practice, but I will say I that for this recent medical need I would have preferred to risk driving to Bend with a high fever if this doctor was my only option for treatment in Klamath Falls. I recently needed to see a doctor after a week long battle with a reoccurring fever. My expectations to find a competent doctor in Klamath Falls were exceptionally low. I took a chance on this facility after a Google search. The place is simple and appears very hygienic. The staff was courteous, but not very warm. The criteria I use are professional, efficient and thorough so the score was very high for entry staff. The criteria of friendly staff is one I use for a restaurant or hotel so I do not see that it is relevant to a clinic review. On a Monday less than an hour after the clinic opened I waited less than 30 minutes considering that I expected to wait about 2-3 hours to be admitted.I was immediately interviewed by a nurse who efficiently documented my symptoms. Within 15 minutes I was examined by Dr. Kathie Lang. For the first time in a very long time I felt in the presence of a medical doctor practicing honestly and transparently. This contrasts to my typical experience of a doctor who is practicing with a very strong legal and financial filter in place. That type of exam relies so heavily on electronic tools and a legally approved process that an exam becomes mostly an automated process that could be conducted by anyone who learns the process and tools.Lab work was prescribed and completed with 10 minutes in the next room. This is the one of the first lab tests that was prescribed by a doctor without my demand for it. Within 30 minutes Dr. Lang spent a small, but valuable amount of time interpreting the lab results with me. This has rarely happened without a direct request for a doctor to spend even 30 seconds explaining what was happening. I understand that doctors are busy and need to focus on patient care. I see patient care as treating a patient as a human. As I said in the first statement this experience is different.Based on past experience the end of the initial doctor exam would have ended with a script for an antibiotic because that is the simplest way for a doctor to make a diagnosis that covers a statistically acceptable percentage of patients while spending virtually no resources or time collecting data to base the decision on. Statistically it is acceptable with the medical industry, but if you are outside of that generalization then you may spend a lot of time and energy reversing the effects of an antibiotic that was prescribed as the first incorrect educated guess. In both cases: Dr. Lang and my collective medical experience the result was the same with an antibiotic, but one was based on real information not a bias to churn to the next patient.Based on my experience I highly recommend and would always use Basin Immediate Care and Dr. Kathie Lang. Hope that this review helps. It allowed me to publicly express gratitude for a positive medical experience.

The young women at the front desk were extremely disrespectful, even when I went in with a smile in my face and was just filling out paper work. Also, they hung up on a patient who was concerned about a medication she had been given that she was allergic to. With that, I waited in a room waiting for a doctor for over an hour without anyone checking in. The doctor was talking and gossiping to the receptionists about patients and such in the office the entire time (My room was next to the office). After all of this, the doctor saw me for under 10 minutes and then i was charges $135. I would recommend to wait a few weeks to get into an actual doctor before going here. Its a waste of your time and money.

Unless you pay cash, I wouldnt recommend this clinic to the first time patient or a returning patient whose records have been purged from their system. They refuse to bill your insurance on your first visit and expect you to pay 100% out of pocket. For those that dont already know, this is Basins policy and is not the norm. KLAMATH WALK IN (located near Fred Meyer) will gladly bill your insurance and they have wonderful doctors and staff.

Their main focus is to extort money from you, not caring for your health. I have 2 full nationwide health plans. They still want to charge me $179.00 up front. Then when Blue Cross pays them, and my secondary plan pays the rest, it would be weeks before they send a check in the mail. Please Doc. this is 2016, not 1979 get with it!

I am not a fan at all of this place. They used to be a great place to go for urgent unnecessary ER visits. Lately, they take forever to see a patient, and their triaging system seems to be completely wrong. The last time I was there was for chest pains, and Im sorry but when someone has a complaint of that, you do,not sit there and be rude and tell them its gonna be a long wait and if you dont have the money right then, they cant be helped.Their staff is extremely rude. Front desk girl has a smug look on her face like she just ate a piece of poop when you are standing at the front window.Ive dropped them as a urgent care, and found a better fit for me. A liscenced paramedic.
