Very good school. I’m currently a student. My teacher Mr Jose is very knowledgeable and very professional. I couldn’t have made a better choice. Knowledge, patience, understanding, I’m getting all the essential packages for a great ending.

I highly recommend American Vocational Academy , I would rate 10/10 , the teachers are excellent, they’re always there for my questions, very modest , kind and professional. Classes are very simplified and smooth , we had plenty of practice time and they open school for who ever needs practice with no hesitation..I would like to thank all of them , especially Mr Jose /Cna , Meriecy /phlebotomy, and Yadi / front desk , you guys made my learning experience easier and felt like I’m surrounded by my own family members.K.s.

Our Teacher Mireya really knew how to explain the circulatory system in a easy way for us to understand and taught us how to draw blood the safetest way possible, I loved my phlebotomy class also because since the second class we were performing venipuncture and the more practice the better you become at it!!.

If I can give 10 stars or more all I can say that if you are considering or thinking about going to school. I highly recommend American Vocational Academy they have various classes at different times to accommodate ur schedule. I took the CNA class and honestly in the beginning I didnt believe that I can do it. They have a great staff who believed that I can do it. I wanted to thank my instructor Jose who gave his time and teaching the class. All the studying and time and I energy it was best class I have taken. As a previous student u have to do your part in studying and practicing. If your looking work you have to look and dont give up.

I am very grateful whit my instructor Laura Escobar because she was a great help in the process of starting in this new field of health. Laura is always interested in her students learning in a clear and explicit way and she is always willing to solve all the concerns we have. In general, all the staff that work in the Academy are very friendly and willing to help.The only disadvantage that the academy has compared to other institutions is the lack of aid to find work, especially for people who have no experience but in Overall I recommend the Academy to all those who wants to start a new career.

Recently began a phlebotomy course and was given excellent materials for the subject matter. My instructor is very kind and concerns herself with all student questions. The staff themselves are also very accommodating and try their best to understand your needs. I had a billing issue that was resolved with no problem and with such kindness. Glad I went with this school for a short term course for Phlebotomy. Overall my Professor Laura Escobar was just outstanding. This school was great and my teacher was amazing. However it isn’t worth it for phlebotomy. There is no job placement and it’s extremely hard to find a company to hire you without 6 months of paid experience. I’ve tried for almost 2 years now to get a job and nobody will hire without paid experience. I’m going to school for nursing so this in my resume will look good either way but I went in with the mindset of getting a job doing phlebotomy and that didn’t happen. I even brought my resume into many different offices but they all said they can’t hire without PAID experience which is ridiculous- how do you get that if nobody will hire you??!

My experience was incredible !!! I took the phlebotomy course in Spanish and it was excellent. Very attentive and cordial staff always ready to help. I recommend them 100%. Excellent school to continue adding to the resume and professional growth.

Good school with amazing teachers. The only problem I had was with the schedule of the courses; there is not a set schedule! I attended NA, Phlebotomy and EKG classes in this institution. While I was attending NA classes I received a call to asked if I had forgotten about the phlebotomy program that I was supposed to attend. When I asked when the phlebotomy course was supposed to start I was informed that I would be told by the front desk, which I was not. Before starting my EKG program, as to not make the same mistake as before, I called and ask front desk when the course began and was given a set schedule. When I arrived to the classroom the teacher seemed surprised to see me (he didnt know he was starting a new class as he was not done with the one he had) once again I asked for the schedule of the class and to my surprise was given a completly different one!

You can tell the proffesors at the academy have been doing this for awhile and that they enjoy teaching. Not only do you learn the material hands on in an effective manner, you have so much fun.

Just pass my CNA thanks to American Vocational Academy the professor was great clean environment very helpful staff everything was excellent no complaints taught you everything you need to know to pass ❤️❤️❤️

I was a student for the CNA program and I cannot stop raving about this school! The atmosphere is very professional and the school is well equipped with everything you need to practice and pass your state exam. I finished my course, practiced on my down time and passed my state exam with ease because I was well prepared! As soon as I passed my state exam I got hired to be a PCT (patient care tech) at the Florida Hospital. The teacher not only prepares you for your exam but also helps you build confidence. They always remembered my name and who I was, always helped calmed my nerves when I studied before my exam, and always ALWAYS offered their help even when I was scrambling to find a job. I am so happy I picked this school because I have amazing memories of the staff and my classmates and I am also a confident and well prepared healthcare professional! Thanks Jose and Yarivette!

So I went to American vocational Academy in 2016 and I passed my CNA and Phlebotomist national exam on the first try. Jose and Graciana should really open up a nursiNu school because they are amazing and very helpful. Also their instructor Mr. Jim is amazing. This school is like a 2nd home to me. I took CNA/Phlebotomy/EKG tech/HHa = Pqtient Care Techinician here. I have never felt this excited to wake-up and go to school, until i went to AMVo. Prof.Jose and Dr.Jim are great teachers. They explained everything so well. They helped me so much, not only with school work, but also on how to choose the right path for me. Graciana is so helpful to all students, as well. I am so happy to have gone to this school. One more day, til i can say that i am an alumna of this institution!
