The gym itself is fine, all the machines and benches are in good shape. The bad thing is that it got overcrowded instantly after quarantine. If you are planning to workout during peak hours - get ready to wait for almost everything: weights, benches and machines. The customer service of LA is the worst thing, in one location they are saying one thing, in another denying everything. Help to the customer is not the priority for sure.

Both my grandkids have their semi private lessons. They like the instructor. And its great to watch them learn

I recently moved to Kirkland and went to this LA fitness coming from another LA fitness. My second day here my wallet was stolen out of my lock box by the smoothie stand. I noticed that somebody had to of used a key as I’ve been going to LA fitness for many years and definitely know how to lock my locker . I reported to the front desk and was told they will let the manager know and check the safe and get back to me on this matter. I’ve still yet to hear from anybody.It is very concerning that on barely my second day there my wallet was stolen with all my information and credit cards and no one finds it important to look into it or even give me a call.

Dishonest staff led to me paying 4200$ for nothing, yes, 4 thousands.It happened on my registration day, just like at any other gym, they try to get you to sign up for personal training and I have no problem with that. I was hesitant at first, but he was able to convince me by saying that I can get a discount and try the personal training for a month. In my mind I was like the discount for a month wasnt too bad so why not. We then head to a screen where he made me sign some documents which I naively assumed was a month of personal training(since thats all we talked about), however it was:1. a contract with 12 months2. if you cancel at anytime, you need to pay half of the remaining contractWithout knowing what I signed up for, I did the month of personal training and then stopped and was just going on my own thinking that my month of training was over. For the next 6 months, I was charged monthly 600$ which I noticed when I checked my bank statements.My final advice: avoid the personal training at any cost and if you do, make sure you read the contract and dont trust a single word they say when they try to convince you. Disappointed that a large chain like LA Fitness will employ such scamming tactics :(

First day of membership, at LA parking lot, about 5:30 pm, mine and 7 other cars got broken into. Wallet in glove box was stolen. I heard this kind of thieving was the second time of the same week and LA still doesnt have a plan to install any CCTV measures.

Very dishonest staff when signing up for training. They will trick you into signing up for a year of training. Even if you say very clearly that you just want to try out a few sessions of training and then see how it goes after that. A session to them means a year but you won’t know that until you sign the paper.Seriously don’t do it.Then they will tell you that if you don’t use all the sessions you can use them later or “gift” them to others. Lies also.After the year of sessions and THOUSANDS of dollars later I can’t use all the sessions because I ran out of time and I can’t gift the sessions either. Too bad, lesson learned but that money could have been used for more worthy circumstances, I probably may never fully forgive myself.Take care all of you, stay safe.

Very nice gym with clearly all the equipment you will need for a daily workout. This place is one of LA Fitness signature clubs so to be a member here you will pay more than a regular club. I found the swimming pool is mostly crowded so if you like to swim you may need to figure out a better time than on a Saturday to do this.

Although I like the gym, the staff is not taking the covid regulations seriously. Per state mandate and the sign in the front of the gym, masks are required. However, I saw at least 10 people with no mask and MANY others who were wearing them incorrectly. I asked the staff if they would do anything about it and was told that they couldnt because there were not enough staff despite seeing them at the front on their phones. I no longer feel safe working out at this gym.

Clean. Has everything. Ample parking. Affordable. Very enthusiastic general manager. Free classes included with the membership. Make sure to bring your own lock for locker room. They also have emerald smoothie indoors which is nice.

Was told today after years of having a membership that I would have to pay a $5 fee or $120 fee to upgrade membership to access the signature locations. I’m not sure what the difference is since it looks exactly like all the others. When I asked why I’ve never been told about this the manager said that they had let go of all the staff not paying attention to this before. Mind you, he’s been at the front desk eating a bag of potato chips when I’ve scanned in so it’s pretty hypocritical if you ask me. It was rude and the way they approach the members coming in about it made me feel like they don’t value you as a customer. I would of considered paying it but not when I felt like they are just trying to upsell and scamming members when you first enroll. Definitely won’t be back.

Maybe send an email to your clients about needing vaccination proof so they dont have to get a pre workout reaction? And ask the person next to you to start working when there is a line of 10 people. Signature clubs over priced too btw I had to pay an additional initial fee just for upgrading

Better and cleaner than I’d EVER expect for a $30-35/mo gym! Super clean - I’ve only been post-COVID! Note that the only 1-2 star reviews are from disgruntled people whoeither never made it past the sales folks - who you only talk to once when you join, and are just a bunch of sweet but yes a little too laid back college kids! - or people who never read their contract and were all upset when they had to give 30 days notice to cancel (standard at any gym!). I really don’t think that is helpful to the community trying to figure out if they would enjoy working out at this beautiful gym!

Very uninformed staff that cheat people into signing up for expensive packages that are not clearly called out anywhere. Monthly payments that we didnt know we signed for. What a shame...needs to be reported to the BBB

The gym looks clean and well-maintained, and prices seem reasonable. But Im giving it 2 stars because I went in to inquire about joining and the salesperson who talked to me was bored out of his MIND. Legit the most unenthusiastic person Ive ever spoken to. I was really turned off by his attitude and unprofessionalism to a potential customer. Left shortly after. I get that working at a gym isnt the most exciting job but come on.

Review for Safe Splash Swim School - KIRKLANDVery worst experience! I have paid my fees without even makeup the class. The intention is that I am okay even if my kid doesnt swim.The class was scheduled for Tuesday, 07/13/2021 4:30 PM, and the instructor was M/S Kailyn. I got a message on Tuesday, 07/13/2021 3:19 PM, stating that the class is rescheduled to 15th Jul at 6.30 PM. The first class was good and the instructor was changed for the second class (07/20/2021). She didnt have any idea what was taught in the first class. Today, again the instructor was changed for 3rd class (07/27/2021) and again it is M/S Kailyn. She didnt even spend time with my kid. She has spend hardly 2 mins out of 30 mins. I spoke to customer care from the location itself.Posting here for wider reach and it is hosted in this campus

I really enjoy working out in this gym. All the staff members are super nice and helpful. The area is always clean and pleasant to workout in.

Great staff, but...They charged my company new initiation fees because I changed branches, they should treat their customers with more care. And not try to take advantage of them.Canceling would also make you loose a month of membership. They will try to take advantage of you in every way possible. It is really sad considering the gym is located in a great community.

Nice gym, but lately they have new Personal Trainers that like to harass and intimidate customers. You should watch out if you step in any trainer space they are prone to be aggressive.

I have a membership from that allowed me to enter to every location of LA Fitness, but for this location i need to pay 5$ extra everytime that Im getting in, the lade on the front desk told me that they are special local and she offer to me to upgrade for 100$ more every monthit literally ridiculous

Their cancellation policy is total scam. When you have more than one membership (for example for teen age kids) - they require to cancel each one of them, even though they were claimed to be family add-ons and expectation was set that if primary membership is cancelled the others should be cancelled automatically. It had me couple of months to cancel membership for my son as they kept charging my credit card after I cancelled primary membership.Not recommend to anyone and I am not coming back to LA Fitness ever.

First off, showers and pool are OPEN because were in Phase 2. The socially-distanced equipment is done very well and isnt too restrictive. Ive never had any problems having to wait for equipment. Facility is very nice compared to other commercial gyms. Trainers and staff are friendly. Has just about all the equipment youll need (I wish they had a hex bar though). Health and safety measures are very good, eqipment is sanitized regularly, masks are required at all times, and there are mandatory temperature checks at the door. The boxing classes are still closed as well as the sauna amd hot tub, which is outside of their control.

Super covid awareness. Great workout facility with enormous amount of quality machines. Time to get back in shape.

There is a good variety of machines and plenty of treadmills/stepmills/eliptical/bikes. There is a separated section for personal work with trainers which is nice. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Only problem is that there arent any straight bars, just ez bars. The dumbbells are organized in a weird way where the .5s are inbetween regular dumbbells, but otherwise fine. During this time I noticed they lack the santizer bottles by the paper towel dispensers which is a bit of a bummer when you want to wipe down your station before or after.

After my Greatest recent experience yesterday 4/6/21 2pm.. at LA Fitness Emeralds smoothie shop I was very impressed and totally satisfied with Gal that served me. I told her my pb craving for Creamy shake like pb extra. She asked me questions protein? Vitas? Etc needs and knew exactally what I wanted! Believe me it was the Ultimate Enjoyable Bomb! Trust. So rich so creamy so satisfied very filling too. Especially after a yummilicious fantastic.32oz my dinner too since 2pm. And she knew all her products displayed!:)) including all powders collegan..Proteins..vitas etc. Even prices an info on amazing quality weight belts which I was very grateful for her knowledge on all. Since my first day of rejoining in this location compared to South wa. I am looking very forward to this full services immaculate Gym..very caring staff ..and then this Heathly Emeralds bar tops it all off coming HERE TO THIS LA FITNESS to Work Out.. and my reward heathly Smoothie Treat fully content walking away til next time. I like this l.a. fitness place. Its a signature club. Its big, with a wide variety of equipments and activities. Its very clean, the staff are friendly, and theres plenty to do (lifting, machines, free weights, aerobics, cycling, swimming, boxing, ...

Love the equipment, management, and the atmosphere.... Plus theres a swimming pool

Came in ask about memberships. My husbamd and I were told by the front desk gal very rudly she couldnt help and that they were closing in a minute. Definitely not coming here again after that experience

I really love this gym, meets all my criteria equipment wise. The only issue I’ve had with the staff was from the females at the front desk. Not all of them, but there’s definitely been three that have stood out to me when it comes to the greetings. I’ve never had an issue with the guys, they all just understand we are in there to get our workout in. But some of the girls make it extremely unwelcoming, idk if it’s just insecurity or feeling the need to compete, but it’s just catty. If you’re going to work front desk at a gym, you can’t be insecure. Get in the gym you work at & workout, if you feel intimidated by the other girls coming in to workout, simple as that. Just seems unprofessional that they let their personal feelings affect how they greet other women. Other than that, my experience has always been great!

Different strokes for different folks. Nothing shy of the exact place I signed up for in Florida. Purchased membership in Florida. Somehow adding Signature to the title requires me to pay an additional $5 per entrance. Wish something can be worked out that would allow me to train in the identical environment without additional costs.

They need to fix the phones. Call and they do not answer.

I hate to give bad reviews, and 3 stars is bad in my book. Overall, the gym is pretty good. I think the class selection could be better (I personally like to do yoga, and I think there would be lots of people attending if there were more classes). Now the pool. I use the pool weekly, and its had one issue after another. The sauna breaks. Then the hot tub. The pool doesnt look clean at all, and so on. I think the whole pool/sauna/locker room needs a little bit of love and cleaning. Also, maybe there should be a sign that people have to shower before using the sauna? I am not sure who invented the post-work out, sweaty as hell sauna run in, but thats not what the sauna is meant for.

Super nice staff! I have been coming here off and on between assignments and jobs for over 2 years, and no matter how long I have been gone the front desk staff remember me and ask how I am doing.Also great staff in medical situations! There was a seizure by the free weights one day and the staff quickly and accurately assisted in helping the patient.

Ive been a member at this Kirkland location for about two years, the second being this covid year and I havent gone since the first lockdown. I went in this weekend because I really missed lifting and saw that they are taking covid precautions by wiping down equipment, social distancing, and requiring masks. Unfortunately they dont enforce their mask policy here. About half the people here were either not wearing a mask or wearing one under their chin. It really just bums me out because I liked going there. Hopefully there are other gyms around that take a pandemic more seriously. They also make quitting a nightmare so thats cool. Please just step it up and wear a mask.

Getting back to the gym after being away for quite a few years. Baby steps, but crawling FORWARD.

This place is good enough for a gym. The equipment is nice enough and they have a nice diversity. Early in the year it gets really really crowded but shout half way through the year it calms down (but still busy). The shower area in the men’s room is kinda gross. Strongly recommend foot covers of some sort. They took out some racket ball rooms for this lame fight club thing. It also costs extra. Not a fan since this gym is already super expensive. They tell you classes are included then add a new class that isn’t. Not that I had any interest in it, but still annoyed at the money grabbing. if all you need is some cardio and weight equipment, this place will work but is way too expensive. Cancellation required mailing in a form. Granted the manager wasn’t in but there should be easier ways to cancel (like through their app). Billing is also vague and silent. They don’t notify you when you get charged, which I suspect is on purpose. Trying to get details about what each invoice is required asking and then guessing because nobody knows with just the vague numbers being charged.

Not much to complain about! If you are like me, you probably enjoy your own routine on your own time; I cannot speak to their classes or trainers. From what I do experience, it is everything I need: not too crowded (mid/early afternoon), has pool, hot tub, showers, towel service, and if I feel like a class, they have those - and when I have kids, they have services for them, too!

This rating is Kirkland, Wa specific. I have been a member for 3 years, but today was my first day at this location. The staff were so friendly, the changing room and bathroom were clean, and the machine area was spotless. Thank you for the great workout and experience. This was a far better gym with far better staff than all other locations I have been to.

The pool has a fantastic set of windows, and you can see the sun rise while swimming - beautiful. When youre face down swimming for long periods of time its nice to see something pretty like that. The facilities are clean, and the staff is nice and helpful. The spinning class is also fantastic. No complaints!

Kirkland LA FITNESS Totem Lake has problems with theft frequently inside of the gym. Another “member” broke my husbands lock and stole everything from him! This is not the first time it has happened. It has already happened to other members after the reopening. The managers look dont care about that.

This place is a very nice and affordable gym place except they have one flaw. My favorite sport is basketball but they only have 1 full court so it is always full and I never have time to actually play. Since this gym is so big and nice could you build more basketball courts for everyones sake please!👍

A decent gym, however, for the signature club membership price you pay, it is not worth it. The bathrooms are not the cleanest, half the toilets and sinks are faulty, and the lockers are dirty. They justify the price by saying you get towel service, but I’d personally prefer a clean functioning gym, than towels that I could just bring myself. They also boast about their activities and classes, but it is no different than any other non-signature club LA Fitness. They do have a boxing studio, however, there is an additional fee for that.

Spacious, clean, tons of different exercise equipment for all types of workout regiments, the staff is super kind and helpful. Best gym experience I have had so far. Thanks staff for making working out an enjoyable experience.

Good facility, plenty of equipment and friendly staff. It’s kept fairly clean and we haven’t had any issues since becoming member about 6 months ago.Overall it’s been perfect for an after work workout or training on the weekends. It’s reasonably priced for having nice amenities like a pool and a sauna.Only negatives are how crowded it gets at times, the restriction of half the mat space for personal training, and the class schedule could be really improved with evening options besides Zumba.

Went there specifically for Emerald City Smoothie located inside. Needed to pick up 9 smoothies. The girl at the counter made them quickly and efficiently. Really appreciated the quick service for the large order.

Many of the people there not employees walk around without a mask particularly in free weight area. Worrisome

The showers, locker rooms and toilets need to be cleaned REGULARLY and not just when someone complains to the desk. Hiring cleaning staff of the respective sex to be able to clean during open hours is CRUCIAL. There are thousands of people flowing through these facilities regularly. I have found the staff very respectful, but the cleanliness is BAD.

Do not get a personal training membership. It is a rip-off and it is not worth the price. The trainers do not spend enough time with you and do not provide effort in making an effective workout plan. The money is completely non-refundable. The staff is unprofessional once you sign up they treat you very differently compared to when they first try to get you to buy the membership.

Good gym. Im a fanatic so no complaints. I get down for mine. If something is taken like a machine, I go convict style and do push ups till its free. Bought universal membership 10 years ago. Great decision. They keep adding locations around SEATTLE.

I love this gym. They offer group classes for FREE with membership which is not the norm! They have every gym luxury. The staff is exceptional especially Jonny.

I seriously LOVE this gym! The staff is great! They always have copies of their class schedules available at the greeting desk. Clean towels. The equipment at the gym is fairly very clean! You can always find the staff with no trouble for questions! I like that they dont bug me while I am working out!

My wallet was stolen out of my locked locker in the gyms locker room. Upon informing Sandy, the Operations Manager, I was also told that my situation was a common occurrence and that the combination lock I purchased from the smoothie bar is easily unlocked by thieves. I suggested a post or email notice to inform their customers of the common occurrence. Had I known this was happening, I would have locked my belongings in the mini lockers by the front desk that are monitored by video surveillance. Due to the Operations Manager not taking my request seriously, Im posting this review solely as a warning for other members. Your lock is merely for looks in the gyms locker room, so do not put anything in your locker that you hope to see again.

Locker rooms are clean and aesthetic looking. I like the sauna & pool. They have good instructors for their cycling class. I wish they offered more Yoga classes. Plenty of space and machines/weights. Diverse crowd of people who come

It does the job. I try to pick the quiet times or it feels a little too busy for my tastes. I prefer small gyms. A great selection of machines and if you time your visit right you almost never have to wait. Sometimes it seems like cleanliness at this gym is less important than selling new memberships... they should have someone going around wiping down all those machines on a rotation. If they do Ive never seen them. More hand sanitizer stations too. Anyway, good machines and little wait times is more important than the odd, mall like, atmosphere. Four stars.

This gym is very conveniently located in the Totem Lake area of Kirkland. The parking lot is completely full by 6 pm so you will have to park further away near the motel next door. There are a lot of different types of equipment and usually the one you want is available.The biggest problem here is the cleanliness level. The bathrooms are consistently disgusting with overflowing paper towels, dirty toilets, hair all over the sink, half the sinks not even working, and more. I am not sure why this is such a big problem here, but its something almost everyone comments on who is a member of this gym.The front desk staff are always talking among themselves and are not very friendly.

One of my favorites, parking always full, but a lot of different machines, front counters people are nicer than Everett for sure.

Women’s bathrooms are poorly maintained. I’ve been going to this gym for 9 months and 2/4 of the sinks in the bathroom have never worked. When will they be fixed?? Also are usually dirty or messy (the toilet area not the locker room)Equipment is ok. A bit dated but in line with the age of the gym. I was cut once by one of the squat racks. They said they’d order a new cap to cover the sharp parts but it’s been 3 months and nothing happened.The gym always seems overstaffed. People standing around chatting or goofing off instead of helping people.Not sure why this is a signature club because other “regular” LA fitness gyms have better service, equipment, space, etc. I’m not upset because I have the membership for $25/mo through my health insurance, but I’d be mad if I were paying more than that for this gym

Pretty good gym. Equipment is well maintained and usually pretty clean. Spacious with a lot of equipment. Only complaint is the personal trainers who act like they own the place and have clients running around on the floor.

Decent gym, clean facilities, and low volumes of people in the morning. Staying open later would be nice, but thats true for any L.A. Fitness.

The gym itself is fine but I got swindled. I was testing out gyms in my area on free trials and this la fitness location (Aaron in particular) told me they didnt offer a free trial. The only way I could try out the gym was to sign up for a package ($120) to my CC and I had 3 days to cancel. He even made me download the app and set it up.Went in today to cancel and it turns out they DO have a free trial period. What a waste of time. Now I have to monitor my CC statement to make sure they actually credit me back.

Very good place for fitness

Had a hard time finding a gym that had a good vibe environment wise and employee wise. Had a bad experience at 24 so I decided to try here. The GM was honest, helpful, and cool. Didn’t try to sell me anything that I didn’t need and picked up on the fact I just wanted to work out. Signed me in, answered my questions and let me go. Signed up immediately after!

Almost everything works, save a drinking fountain and a few of the excersize bikes that go clunk as you ride. Not too crowded. Everyone stairs at their phone, so you wont meet anyone.

This is a signature location which means that the facilities, especially the locker rooms/showers, are nicer than other locations. There’s a large parking lot which means that finding parking is never an issue, and there are always plenty of free exercise machines even when the gym is at its busiest.

Stay away from this place, by all means, my dads life and mine were threatened by a gang member, who said HE WAS GONNA WAIT FOR US AND SHOOT US AT THE PARKING LOT... and the manager Jordan will not do anything about it, CLAIMING THAT WE ARE MAKING UP THE STORY, why in Gods earth would we do that? We tried to at least move to a different LA fitness location, but he said that was not gonna happen, and that If we dont feel safe at his location we are welcome to cancel our membership.(13 days after we paid for all the overpriced enrollment fees that they required) , now you are warned.

I like the effort of the staff to remember your name & your needs.The trainer Brent has been a great help to me & he really knows what he is doing. He has done a really good job listening to what I want to accomplish & he has been a great motivator.

I have enjoyed this Signature Club and always found the facilities clean, the staff pleasant, and the atmosphere conducive to working out. I generally go to this specific location during the late morning on weekends and find it pleasantly full but never too crowded to use the machines I need. I mostly work out on my own, so I cant comment on classes or trainers.

This signature club is a complete typical gym scam. Get you in with a promotion and automatically paying with your credit card. Once you cancel they continue to charge you even when moving out of the state! Their own agreement states if you move 25 miles away from the club you can cancel and be refunded. These gyms need to be investigated for fraud!

Not worth the additional 5$ charge on top of the multi-club membership every time you go, they dont inform you of that directly btw... The facility is nice and isnt too crowded, but the fee for towel service is basically all I seen that made it a signature club. Wouldnt recommend this over a basic club.

Overall a good gym and always a clean facility. Membership is more expensive than most but having a pool, full size basketball court and racquetball are included which warrants the price.

I really love going here, good atmosphere and lots of equipment to use! It would be nice to have a few more bench and squat racks as they all always seem to be full. Other then that great place and it has an emerald city smoothies right inside for a pre or postwork out recharge!

Love the staff and even when its busy I can still always find some space to workout. They could clean the equipment a little more, keep spray bottles near the mats, but compared to other gyms its on average for cleanliness

Manager of this facility needs to work on customer service skills. He was very passive aggressive when I was trying to voice my concerns. He needs to realize that customers that walk through the door help pay for his salary!

I come here to workout often and is a nice place to burn some calories. Very clean and in good shape.

I like working out here and the front desk people are nice. I like the gym and my day to day interactions with the staff.That being said, the people signing you up will try to rip you off. I spent some time negotiating my price and then the guy tries to get me to sign a contract different agrees on. Where I confronted him in it he said that the co tract he was giving me was the best he could do. Another friend of mine had a similar experience.
