I asked for a hair trim, possibly just a couple of inches straight across the bottom. The girl with purple eye shadow told me she could do it but she was really looking forward to just folding towels the rest of the day. She then told me it would be 55 dollars for her to do it and asked would that be okay. Since I have had my hair trimmed at Ulta before, I know the price to be 38 dollars which I am fine with. I declined her offer to shake me down for extra cash just because she could.

Amazing selection of beauty items and they have a salon as well as eyebrow services. Last time I was here the website said that I could pick up a certain item which ended up not being there. The staff was so gracious with the situation. I was concerned that if I ordered it online I would have to pay shipping. They ended up giving me a code to get free shipping to my house for the item. They made sure I left with some samples for my time.

Yeah, based on your weak reply, I feel inclined to rate you again. Why not apologize and accept responsibility for your lazy, greedy employees instead of making me feel like I am the problem. I went somewhere else and got a great hair trim for a lot less money. I had to wait half an hour while the place was so packed some of us had to wait outside. Last I checked, your place was empty. The apple apparently doesnt fall far from the tree I see. You can tell the purple eyeshadow lady that I tipped the other salon 100 dollars because I was so happy. Your person has ample time for towel-folding...lol

I was in the store for 20 minutes and not one employee asked if I needed help. Surprising considering that there were as many employees as shoppers. I wandered around looking for a specific item which I never found. Maybe if youre over 50 they dont want to bother?

I was pretty disappointed with my visit today. I was purchasing an item that Target did not have when I went. The item was more expensive at Ulta but I decided to just go ahead and purchase since it was available. The cashier rang up my items and the price was a dollar more. She rang up my coupon and when I asked about the price she said I got a dollar off with the coupon so it was okay. I tried to explain that I want to use my coupon on the correct price not get the correct price using the coupon. She went and checked the price and then asked the manager (after she told me it might show that price because of tax, which is just incorrect).Her manager went and looked at where the product was lined up on the shelf with multiple of the same in a line. The manager then told us it was the wrong product and that mine was in fact a dollar more. I said okay, why are they all behind the wrong price. He was very rude and then started reorganizing the shelf...because the items were in fact behind the wrong price.The cashier seemed mad at me even though I was very polite and just trying to understand the difference in price. All the other customers were getting free gifts along with their purchases and treated so nicely but when I ask to check the price of something I was treated like I was a bad person. I will not be shopping here again. It is clear that this store has a bigger issue as the manager was extremely rude.

My mom went yesterday to totem lake Ulta after she got off work and just because of her appearance she was being watched. She was looking at a perfume and got ask if she needed help and she asked the lady if she was a Spanish speaker and she said yes, and then she told my mom that she was being watch by the cameras and that they saw that she put something in her bag! She told them they could check her bag that she had never stolen nothing. My mom had a horrible experience and left there with a bad taste of mouth. In most Ulta store if they don’t see you dressed up and with makeup on they simply ignore you or they follow you around..

I’m a consistent customer and every time I come in the male manager GLARES at me from afar as if I’m stealing. Every time. Considering the amount of times I’ve gone there to shop, you’d assume I wouldn’t steal because I’m not an idiot but nope.

Ulta is the best for working and non-working women everywhere. They know what you know or have read and then more, giving you choices. You never get that kind of help or knowledge at one location that carries most of the top products women luv to use and rely on. Try them out you wont be disappointed.

Felt that joining rewards club was required. Do not pressure your employees to push this more than 1x during a transaction. Felt very uncomfortable saying no thank you multiple times. May not go back to the Kirkland store again

I have never ever written a review for anything before in my life, my experience at this store was that horrendous that I am finally sharing an experience for the very first time!I went in to Ulta today to get a trim from their hair service area and even out a bad haircut, I had set the appointment the day before, and when I got there, some blonde hairdresser with short hair, gave me the worst customer service/haircut of my life! From the get go she had a weird entitled rude attitude towards me! first she did not even greet me at the desk. she started with: do you have any questions? I said Im here for my haircut appointment. she took my information then said: you do understand this is not a haircut but only a trim? (I guess because I chose haircut when I booked the appointment online instead of signature haircut), I said Im here to get a trim and even out some layers. she takes me to her station and I had my hair tied up in a bun, so I showed her a picture of how my hair normally looks (since its very curly) so shed get a sense of what shes working with, so first I seriously had to ask her twice to take a look at the picture she wouldnt even take a look, then said well if your hair is curly youre better off going to a professional that specializes in curly hair, my problem was not with what she said but how she said it, her tone was rude and condescending, I said I only needed a trim, but its up to her if she didnt want to do it, she replied with: I want to make sure you know what to expect! then she proceeded to cut my hair silently for exactly ten minutes!! that it! my whole head of hair in ten minutes, she did a horrible job, only trimmed the back then when she got to the front she let it down and said it looks even in the front! she then went back to the desk printed a receipt to take to the front, all in awkward silence and said I was done. I seriously cannot fathom what happened today I am still in disbelief! Looking back Im upset I let her treat me this way, I also shouldnt have paid for that service, and I am never going back to that Ulta ever again.

Got my hair cut here and absolutely love it. Great friendly atmosphere, felt like I could ask questions and got great advice. Highly recommend!

I used the salon services yesterday and received a haircut from an employee named Lisa. I paid 65 dollars and was at the salon for and hour and 15 min which would have been fine except that most of the time was spent by her talking and she took at least 45 min to dry my hair. She cut my hair dry and didn’t even brush out the tangles before she started cutting. I showed her a picture and she didn’t follow what I had asked. The haircut looks terrible, was expensive, and took way to long for what she did which was cut 1/4 inch off my ends. I will definitely not go back! I would suggest paying a little more and finding someone who knows what they are doing.

Personally, I am so excited about an ultra coming to kirkland. I think those of us who love beauty definitely needed this. Listen the staff were nicer than expected and fast to the answers overall I am very quickly becoming an ultra addict with their high and low priced brands and huge variety of not just make up but hair care products, bath and body products and even more. Love it.

Got the MAC Powder KISS in “Devoted To Chili.” I called to ask what was the matching lip liner pencil. The mgr of the MAC counter took Redd & Mahogany lip liner pencil to the test & said the Mahogany would be the perfect color to make the “Devoted To Chili” stand out❤️

I love Ulta! The staff is very nice and extremely helpful, when I got my hair cut at the salon section it was PERFECT! I would definitely recommend.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The shelves were well organized and I found almost everything I was looking for. The only thing I think they need to improve is the price tags. Sometimes its hard to find some products prices.

The first time I went in a week ago, to browse the makeup, the staff was very helpful and friendly. Today I went in and was testing makeup and looking through the store, after awhile it became very obvious that the whole staff thought I was shoplifting and started following me and passive aggressively talking to each other near me about calling the police and “security”. They were definitely trying to intimidate me without actually approaching me. I only bought something so they wouldn’t hold me from leaving or something. I suggest you talk to the employees so they don’t follow you around! And don’t take too long looking for something you like.. they might think your stealing!!!

Michael the saloon manager he is amazing! He knows customer service well and shows empathy and compassion for customers even when the issue at hand had nothing to do with his store. He owned the issue and took good care of me. Brittany the stylest was amazing she knows blonde and how to achieve the right colors and shades super talented she needs a raise and a good job. She restored my faith in the saloon side of the business . Thank you thank you

They were late for my appointment ad very unorganized. And while the person who did my make-up application was nice, I wasnt thrilled with the outcome- poor color match, crooked lash application and very over the top for the natural look I requested.

This store gave me a migraine and made me nauseous. I dont know if its a combination of the fumes and the lights that are as bright as the sun, but i cant go in there.

That saw me wandering around then asked if I needed help. Helped me find just what I needed.

This NEW Ulta location is amazing!It has everything I need from my cotton pads to skincare to my hair pomade. One stop shop. I usually come to this location when I’m out in Bellevue. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

This morning while waiting for my wife at Ulta Beauty near Totem Lake, Kirkland WA, the manager of the store asked me to not look at a dog sleeping in the midle of the store, as soon as she realized that I ignored her, she started yelling and accusing me and my wife of invading her dogs space... Because of this uncomfortable situation, my wife and I decided to leave the store but the manager followed us out and continued screaming.I wont go back to that store and I hope this review help others to do the same and chose a location that serve customers as is expected.

I had no help at all in this store! I always went to the Redmond location where service is exceptional but was glad they opened one in Kirkland. However, I will not be returning to this location unless Im in a hurry to get home or something. I roamed the store looking for product and not a SINGLE employee offered help. Being a black woman didnt help the situation either, just felt so unwelcome! FYI, I work in customer service and this is no way I would treat a customer. Blah!

Full of women running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I made the mistake of visiting this place with my significant other and almost lost my life. Be warned if you happen to be standing in the way of a sale item and a woman you may be trampled to death. After visiting here I now know why they name deadly hurricanes after women because I almost got swept away.Ample parking though, 4 out of 5 stars.

Went in to find some vegan concealer and foundation. The lady behind the counter was a great help. They were pretty expensive but great service. Definatly reccomend for anyone that has money to spend and in need of great beauty products or makeup. Their selection is huge btw. Which is really nice.

I used the salon services to get a facial from what I’ve found to be the best Esthetician in Kirkland, Wa. I went in to Ulta one day to look at a product that I wasn’t 100% sold on and needed more info before I just bought it online. While I was looking Gabby approached me and asked me if I needed any help, she not only helped me with what I needed but gave me honest feedback of what my skin looks like it needed. She recommended Dermalogica products and offered a quick 10min facial using the products and showing me the “how to’s”. The products can be quiet pricey for the huge bottles but they have smaller portions for half the price and you only need a little of each, it truly goes along way. She’s VERY good at reading what your skin needs and listens to any knowledge you have about your skin so that she can recommend the best fit for you. After my first experience with her I scheduled another 30 min facial and she left my face glOOOwing. She as changed my skin dramatically and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve also heard amazing things about her from the other women that work at this ulta location. Her services are worth it and you’ll leave knowing more about your skin and educated on how to maintain a healthy skin routine. 5+ stars for Gabby, not only for the services she provides but her customer service is top notch.

Nobody greeted me, or offered to help me find the products I needed when there were 5 employees just walking around (store was empty).When I get up to purchase my products the lady without any eye contact, whats your phone number?. I never get good customer service at any Ulta. Disappointed!!

I wanted to buy a mascara here that was very clearly marked as $8.99. It rang up as $15.99 at the register and even after showing the cashier the price on the shelf she refused to change the price in the register. She said “sorry we are moving everything around and we just havent been getting all the prices right”. It was so ridiculous because $8.99 was obviously the right price (Covergirl lash blast mascara does not cost $15.99). I wont be shopping at Ulta again.

Wow. I was ready to spend some money today but walked out after the poor customer service, well, more like lack of, and terrible negative vibes going on at this store. When I walked in an employee was leaning against a column by the MAC counters on her phone. She looked up to welcome me and then looked back down on her phone, still leaning. 4 or 5 other employees gathered around the Kylie display and stood around gossiping about Jordyn Wood and Tristan scandal while Im standing behind them looking through the Tarte n IT foundations. I went and found my own sponges to color match myself. No one looked at me or asked if they could help me. I witnessed another customer ask the gal at Benefit counter a question and she answered with her head down uh, I dont know, Ill go check. She responded like she was super annoyed and super low energy. Didnt even look at the customer. I rarely leave bad reviews but todays experience was off the charts. This store is going to go under if Ulta doesnt rehire a whole new staff. And the bathroom was disgusting. Its 2pm with no more than 7 customers in the store... someone should be cleaning back there. The energy at this location is terrible. Nothing fun and exciting about it. The extra drive to Woodinville is worth it. The gals there are super friendly and helpful.
