I have been a patient of HMG for several years and have only had an issue till recently. I went to my doctor near the end of February due to a minor emergency. After finally seeing the doctor and was told that a prescription would be called in for me to pick up after I left. My pharmacy never received any prescription even after my calling the doctors office numerous times over the next 3-4 days. Seeing that my provider had failed me, I went to an urgent care facility 3 days later and was treated for my problem. Fast forward 2 months and now I need a refill on another prescription that I have ongoing. The refill request was called in 6 days ago originally, still no refill available, called doctors office again and was told it was submitted but yet my pharmacy shows no request. Very dissatisfied to the point of seeking another provider!

I am livid with the Billing Office at Dr. Parks office and with the Patient Advocate at Corporate Office. This review does not reflect on Dr. Park. I got two calls in one day from Billing over an amount of $2.64 (two dollars and sixty-four cents). Although I had been making monthly payments to HMG for months, the Billing lady insisted on some payment that same day. She said the $2.64 was 104 days past due and threatened me with Collections. My monthly HMG payments should have erased the $2.64, since Dr. Parks office is part of HMG. Livid and exasperated, I paid the $2.64 via Visa during the second call. I called up an HMG patient representative after this conflagration (Jill ?) and I felt like I was on trial. She seemed to exonerate Billing, but without respect, seemed to implicate me. She never said that she would review this with Billing, although she did concede that the lady from Billing should have looked to see my monthly payments. But there was NO apology!! Because of the Billing lady and the Patient Rep, I made an appointment with an Ortho doctor in a different orthopedic group. When I told her that I might resort to this, Jill (?) seemed nonchalant. Losing a long-time Ortho patient to a non-HMG provider didnt seem to phase her. Since my procedures involves TWO surgeries (bilateral total knee replacement), this will cost HMG money, which was not my original intent.BTW:I think Dr. Park needs to lay off of his age related comments. He tried to discourage me from going to medical school because of my age. Ive done the math and I dont need his discouragement, nor his relentless lecture and focus on my age. After all, Ill make my own decision about medical school!! Dr. Park might have thought he was being helpful, but the continual negativity about my age and going to medical school quickly became irritating. When I left a message for the nurse to ask Dr. Park a question, my question was to see whether he would do surgery on both knees simultaneously, because I have an ideal opportunity to matriculate to medical school. Doing surgery on both knees at once would expedite the process for me, saving me a year or so during the application process. I did NOT call to ask Dr. Park his opinion or advice about my goal to go to medical school!!

I had a botched surgery an was told the proper care was giving when I addressed my complaint with the patient advocate. I am currently speaking with a lawyer to resolve the matter.
