Having trouble with my gut. They checked out all possibilities. They found no problems after doing an endoscopy and a CT scan. They gave me medications to try to get my bowels back to normal. So far the medicine is working. The staff is friendly and kind, you would think you are their most important patient. Everything is so clean and neat. The waiting rooms are set up for covid spacing, a mask is required. If you need to go to see a doctor, this is where you should go.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I got referred here because I got dropped by my previous gastroenterologist because I missed an appointment for a scheduled procedure due to unforeseen circumstances, but still only have good things to say about that provider Dr. Sullivan in Kingsport. However that was not my experience from here and I’m never one to complain. From day 1 I was met with rude staff & every time after. Also on day 1 Dr. Fry stated he was putting me on a no tolerance policy just because Of being dismissed by my previous provider. I was fine with me because Dr. Fry assured me it would be fine as long as I didn’t miss any appointments without notice which I knew would never happened. Moving forward to being seen I was able to receive one endoscopy in the years I was a patient here and was refused a colonoscopy. I’m not going to go in to details about my illness, but my previous provider had already advised me I needed another colonoscopy and evidence in one I had years prior also proved I did need a repeat of the procedure. My symptoms just kept getting worse. NP kept assisting meds should work and refused to give me any answers or any further help each visit and made it uncomfortable to open up about symptoms. Then when covid started I had an appointment, understandably at this time they was checking temps and pre screens which I happily did then stood waiting to get called up to the window because the clerk was either busy or ignoring me, finally after a few minutes she called me up. At this time it was 11 minutes after my appointment time. The clerk was rude and said the NP refused to see me and ask me to stay until 11 am 3 hours after my appointment to be seen. I explained to the clerk I had just came off a graveyard shift and I could not stay and wait 3 hours. She was rude about the fact I couldn’t stay and ask if I would like to reschedule I said NO because at this point I was aggravated because my symptoms was getting worse and I needed to be seen and felt I was treated rudely and unfairly. What happened next all I can think is the clerk went ahead and scheduled an appointment without my knowledge. I never received a phone call or notice about an appointment, but when I called back to reschedule I was advised I was dismissed by the practice for missing an appointment. A appointment I never scheduled or knew I had!! Then the manager that I guess was over releasing me as a patient was horrible! She took pleasure in the fact that Dr. Fry had signed off on the dismissal and said their was nothing I or she can do. Did not have any sympathy for me needing to desperately be seen or not scheduling the appointment or even aware of its existence. She was very unprofessional, raised her voice and talked to me awful with no respect, she made it clear I was not a valued patient. Please go elsewhere this is your life, see someone that will prioritize your health and take the time to keep doing as much as possible to give you a accurate diagnosis and care. This is my first ever google review and it’s because I feel so strongly about warning people to stay away from this place! It’s been several months since I was dismissed m, but it still baffles me the treatment I received at every appointment all the way to the end. Can’t say one good thing about any employee I encountered in this facility.

My mother was humiliated and would of had a better experience if you would provide Colonoscopy Dignity Shorts to patients. Shame on you for not caring about modesty.

It was a positive experience, but I always warn businesspeople against having items that point to political sponsorship. Lose photos with politicians, particularly ones who have local business interests. Some veterans have issues with political positions and financing, and it adds stress when they seek medical care.

Horrible place. Pack em in like sardines, maximize profits no matter how the patient feels. No concern for patients time or feelings. State should shut down.

Dr Fry sat and talked to me. Eye contact. No electronic charting in the room! That in itself is impressive. Answered all my questions in non medical lingo. This is my first visit. So far, so good!

I had a routine colonoscopy in June, 2019. My Cigna insurance pays 100% for preventative colonoscopies (every 10 yrs over age 65).Had to pay $75 for initial appointment, no problem paid it.Had the procedure, everything good.I received the first bill.... in August for $300... I called their billing dept and tried to explain preventative procedure and asked them to check their “code” sent to Cigna.... was told by associate on phone that I hadn’t reached my deductible for the year. I tried to explain to HER, it had NOTHING to do with my deductible but was not successful! It was a preventative procedure and was not coded correctly by TriCities Gastro folks.I called my daughter who worked for BCBSTN and asked her what I should do. She told me to report Doc and office to Tn.gov for insurance fraud and so I did. In Dec 2019 I got a letter from the state, they were auditing Tri-Cities Gastro. I have not been notified of any outcome, to-date.I would like to know how many 60’s plus folks they pull this on? They are not the friendliest office, regardless of their television commercials.

First, great and friendly staff. The doctor and anesthesiologist were so nice, better than most of the places Ive been to as I have many medical issues. Would reccomend this place to everyone. I cant speak to all their locations, however, the kingsport location is amazing.

I had been encouraged to get a colonoscopy by my family doctor. I had used Dr.Jeffrey Fenyves about 14 Yrs. ago and had a good result, so I figured Id give him another shot. So I did but was very surprised at how things had changed from my previous appointment. I had set up an appointment for 1:00 PM and they said that sounded good but they would call me a day or two before to tweak the time. So they called me and said to be there at 1:20. So I thought thats great. I got there a little after 1:00 and was not impressed at the attitude I received but thought, well enough. So I waited until about 2:00 and I rang the bell to speak with someone about the delay. I was met by a large lady that said she couldnt be certain but that there was several ahead of me. So I told her I was disappointed, since Id had my time tweaked and was expecting to be a little closer to my appointment. First thing she said, well you have been preppted havent you? I said yes, is that what your counting on to keep us old folks here? If it is, its not working on me. Just to say it simply, theres just no INTEGRITY in the place. And Im sorry to have to say it.........

The staff was very kind and friendly when explaining things while prepping for the procedure. However, post procedure when I began to ask Dr. Fry questions about my medication, he was short, condescending and not very helpful. Do not recommend.

GO ELSEWHERE! I didnt even get to see the doctor, instead I saw a NP. I was asked 5 questions, and was charged $200. Thats $40 per question. I disputed the charges and asked for an explanation, and Cecilia, the billing lady, refused. She could not explain the charges. Had I known I would be charged $40 for each question I was asked, I would never have gone. They overcharged me, would not explain the charges, and completely took advantage of me. GO ELSEWHERE!

Went in last March with stomach pain and having trouble using bathroom. Made appointment with Dr. Had to see NP. Prescribed meds. No help. Tried different meds. No help. I even asked about colonoscopy since I have history of colon cancer. Was told it couldn’t be that since I was clean 2 years before.Well guess what. Ended up in ER with complete blockage from a tumor. Had surgery two days later and currently doing chemo.Needless to say I got new gastro doctor.Go somewhere else !!!

I give them a 10. They went above all others to get my mothers insurance all worked out for all her procedures, visits, consultations, tests and her surgery. We had known for 6 yrs that she needed her gallbladder removed and she, had, pancreatitis. Dr would send us to see a surgeon, surgeon would say he wouldnt do anything without an hidascan because of moms AGE . We went in circles with no relief until we found the great staff at Center For Digestive Wellness. Had we only known you put the patient first we wouldnt had to go thru all that suffering. Thanks from all of us.

Went in December 2018 with a crohns flare up, arrived on time for my appointment and had to wait in line to check in. After 2 hours of waiting & asking several times about what was going on another patient got agitated about waiting so long too, the receptionist kept putting him off just as she did to me.After the receptionist ended up calling the police on the man ( which was unnecessary ), I called their office to see what the problem was with my appointment and the office in general, they told me that I was apparently late, so the 5 minutes I had to stand in line somehow counted against me and cost me 2+ hours of waiting. Not only the waiting because the receptionist did that I missed the actual doctor ( the entire purpose of the visit ). They couldnt even draw blood right. Read the other reviews and stay as far away from this place as you can.
