Dr. Rahr and his staff are so professional, friendly and so accommodating. I drive over 45 mins to this office because he is the only dentist that I trust. To preface, I am not a big fan of the dentist. Dr. Rahr has a small practice, which is very nice. His staff is very attentive and kind. They remember details about you, its not just a patient mill. Probably most importantly they are gentle. Cant recommend enough.

Great Dentist and staff. I watched a movie with special goggles and headphones during a 2 hour procedure and didnt even realize I was being worked on. Also, the bi-annual cleanings are a pleasure. Im not sure why some people dont like going to the dentist, but I have no problems going to Dr. Rahrs office and getting worked on. His practice has all the newest state of the art technologies and I will continue going there for all my dental needs. You should go there too.

Lets just begin, by me telling you I am absolutely terrified of dentists, and to finally make an appointment was a huge step, and me even showing up for my scheduled appointment was an even bigger one. Was having discomfort in one of my teeth on Saturday afternoon. Of course, I had plans that I was flying out to Florida for a week on Wednesday! Sent an email to Dr Rahrand he checked on me with a phone call Sunday evening. I re-contacted him on Monday morning and he accommodated me for evaluation in ample time to allow me to still travel. Great office, no downside. Dental hygienists are awesome. I have recently moved from the town of Kings Park and still travel back just for him.

Ditto on what others said, especially Deb.I put off going to the dentist, stupid move, especially for someone careful about other things, and I like having my teeth as white as possible, and cleanings help. Having no missing teeth also helps when you smile. Cleanings were torture at the old dentist. You would think the cleaning would be torture here since it was put off but not a bit of pain. Ditto on the anesthetic needle, and during the time they spent repairing some work another dentist did way back when. The staff, and Dr. R, are fantastic at taking care of their patients. A first-class operation all around, and I highly recommend them. Travel if you must-worth the trip and right off the parkway anyway, plus the area around it, like Northport, is a pretty waterfront small town great for restaurants and just walking around. And you can eat after you leave Dr. Rs office right away, and not just clam chowder.
