Been here for two days with my husband. He needs assistance getting up and getting situated in the bed. First call for help was at 10 after no one showed till 10 till. And today two calls have been made not a single soul has came in. Wouldnt leave my loved ones by themselves. But the worst is the lady down the hall who keeps yelling for help and they make fun of her at the desk. Just a select few. But it dont take many to run down a place fast.

Please dont let the reviews from this hospital scare you away. My grandfather was here for 8 days. Staff was very kind and took excellent care of him.

Took my daughter for a covid test because she had been exposed on Sunday. It is now Wednesday and we have no results,every time I call they transfer me to someone else who obviously doesnt know whats going on either. You guys need to get it together!!!!

Had my Fiancee at Caromont in g Gastonia from 7:30 PM Sat to 4:40 Sun AM never got called. Her son came by the ER. and got hr to leave and come to King MT . got there. At 5:30. Sun was out by 8:30 AM Sun . Best Hospital around

Amazing care and compassionate staff! They helped me when I had the flu in 2019 and the doctors and nurses were very nice, would recommend to some in the area☺️

My mother had horrible back pain ..they had her 3 days and had no explanation for her pain. Sent her home. She went back to her own Dr. in Fl and he found she had 2 compression fractures! Kings Mtn hospital doctors are the worst I have ever seen! Dont go there!!!!

My 4 year old daughter was scheduled for outpatient dental surgery on a Tuesday. The Friday before the hospital calls the dental practice and the practice calls me and says the hospital cannot perform the surgery because my daughters great-aunt had malignant hypothermia. My daughter already had gone through COVID testing and being psychologically prepared, and my husband had taken the day off. I had submitted the paperwork almost too early, they had over 20 days to review it but still they waited until 2 days before surgery to look over it and cancel us. My daughter has had 2 surgeries and one other instance of being put under but without surgery in the past. To say that the hospital can never see her or my other children is devastating. We have no where else to go for dental surgery. What are we going to do? We cant afford to pay our of pocket. In addition, they do not allow nursing infants to accompany a parent. They literally think a baby would spread COVID. Caramont never had any of these problems.

The care and compassion I received from everyone I encountered from the check in clerk to the doctor was beyond any I have ever received.My nurse was always trying his best to make me comfortable and explain everything to me. It was the PA that was phenomenal. She took her time explaining what they had found so that I could understand it all and allowed me to be a part of the decision making process.

This is the best hospital ever. I knew I wanted to go to this one because of the great care and consideration they took care of my mom one time. The emergency room staff was excellent in my care. they had great consideration for me and my needs and explained everything that was going on. I was waiting on quickly in the waiting room. I probably didnt even wait 3 minutes.The only negative thing I could say which is not a great big deal anyway is that I was not offered a discharge paper.

I gave 5 stars because the ER crew was so nice and considerate. I had no problems or issues while there. They took very good care of me. Thanks Atrium Health Kings Mountain!!

Mary the manager was super rude to my girlfriend. She needs customer service skills. Horrible that someone like her can treat people that way.

The staff is much more kind and compassionate than other hospitals around Gaston and Cleveland Counties. They actually treated me like a human being. That was a nice change. Unfortunately, they dont deal with OB or pregnancy, so they were only able to offer limited help when I went to the ER with bleeding during pregnancy. They arent equipped for ultrasounds after business hours. I was hoping for a referral to another hospital that would be better equipped. Still very thankful for the kind nurses.

Ive been in and out of hospitals for most of my young adult life and I have to say this hospital was the best experience Ive had. The ER took minutes to see me, my nurse Deborah was amazing, her knowledge and bed side manor were great and her humor made being in the ER a lot less daunting. My Doctor whom I forget his name was also very pleasant and knowledgeable. I was in and out of the ER in 3 hours. Great experience for what I was dealing with. I will go back (hopefully not anytime soon)

The ladies at the front desk on 3rd were absolutely amazing. I took my little one and they just loved on him so much. We didnt have to wait long at all but even if we did they would have made the wait worth it. Such very sweet ladies. The nurse was very sweet and caring towards my baby. And the Dr was very informational and helpful. He took his time making sure I knew what was going on. A lot of Drs get you in and out but this one wasnt worried about time, just my baby and his needs. They were all just amazing.

I was in rough shape when I was taken to the ER here. I had never been here before. ER is scary enough and plenty stressful notwithstanding how badly I was feeling. TOTALLY professional staff / not one bad attitude or lack of genuine concern. They patched me up for my regular Doc but explained everything I went through in understandable terms. I dont want to have to visit again soon but if I need help, this is where I want to be taken! Top flight people here!

Over a year ago my husband was severely misdiagnosed here, so we vowed to never go back to this hospital. But recently I thought I had a little flu that wasn’t getting better, and they can’t mess up diagnosing the flu, right? The NP looked in my throat, my ears and did a chest X-ray (even though my chest wasn’t bothering me) and said, “yep, it’s the flu. Go home, take Tylenol and rest.” Guess what. Not the flu. I needed medicine. If they can’t even get that right, don’t take your serious medical issues to these hacks. What the other people have said is also true. They’re rude and they don’t have time for your problems.

Kings Mountain hospital is one of the worst. They use the Covid 19 as an excuse for everything.. They have certain rules and regulations for a certain group of people and another set of rules for others. Unbelievable for a hospital.

I had to go to the ER unexpectedly and was treated amazingly well. The entire staff was top notch and did everything possible to help. I saw an NP primarily, Tamara Rape, and she was wonderful. An ER visit is never a good thing, but I commend them on a job well done.

My son recently went in for DKA (diabetic condition). The ER staff was amazingly quick, effective and super nice. Great job! The ICU nurses were equally wonderful. Caring, courteous and very knowledgeable about how to help my son. I thank each of you! My family has a new hospital to tend our medical emergency needs!

Had a dislocated shoulder today and these people really made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I was a little nervous going in bc they had to knock me out in order to put my shoulder back in to place. I’ve had a couple of scares from hospitals back in sc and one I’m particular almost killed me. This is by the best hospital that I’ve ever been to and I just want to thank everyone there today for their help.

My father was in intensive care for 11 days. The IV they put in him was not going through the vein. The fluids were going throughout his body and eventually went to his lungs. I noticed his arm was swollen really bad and asked his doctor to look at it and he said no, he had already been in to see my dad. My dad did complain about his arm and shoulder hurting and the doctor told him it was because he laid on his back too long. He lied to my dad. My dad said and I quote they are trying to kill me. My dad was right. They had removed the catheter and still left the IV in pumping fluids throughout his body. When we got him to Hospice House the nurse explained what had happened at the hospital, they inserted a catheter and over 1400 CCs of urine was released at Hospice House. His body kept swelling where the fluid was trying to escape his body. His lungs eventually filled with this fluid, My dad died two days after being at Hospice House. My dad was right, Kings Mountain Hospital and Doctor Christian Anderson killed my dad. They made him suffer, I witnessed his suffering. I had heard of another occasion in which this happened to another ladies father. Her fathers doctor was also Doctor Anderson. Even the head of Respiratory told them they needed to take out the IV. I was standing right there. I hope someone will investigate this case. You know who my father was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a 1 star ER. I purposely rated 5 to be on top. The security is rude and treat you like a convict. I had a big buckle on and failed the metal detector 4 times before he whipped out his black paddle lol. Then I get 10 questions. Ughh dont go here drive to Gastonia please do.

Have taken my mother there 3 times, she is in there now for UTI, C-diff as well as being extremely over medicated. I cannot say enough about how wonderful ER staff is, same nurse every time we go, awesome, and the doctors are unbelievable, Dr. Lowry and Dr. Shannon, explained everything to us and have her on the right path with medications now we think. Best nurses around as well, they are so attentive, only place to go. I am going to write a letter and sing their praises. They are unbelievable.

Ive called for 3 days to find out if we have a neuroligy appointment for my dad. We were referred. For 3 days I cant reach anyone by phone...it rings and rings in the neuroligy dept...Been speaking with Wanda at the switchboard. Today I called her again to find out there is not a neuroligy department...so she says...then Wanda whats the big signs in the hall ways that reads neuroligy??? Ive already had him at the 1st appointment...AT THE NEUROLOGY DEPARTMENT! So I ask to speak to a supervisor. Her exact words were we dont have any here and I have emergency and literally hung the phone up.I didnt know switchboard operators felt with emergencies...Im dealing with a father that I love dearly and am trying to get him help to no avail. Your employees are misinformed and in my opinion ignorant about what to do in these type situations. I would LOVE a response that is informative enough so that I can actually speak to someone of authority.

Nursing staff either can not recognize septic shock or simply didnt want to deal with a patient they viewed as too far gone maybe.According to the nurse, severe fever and coughing up qiute a bit of blood is normal for an infected tooth. I didnt even see an actual doctor before they were trying to rush me out the door.The only thing that (quite literally) saved my life was my boyfriend making such a scene that the nursing staff called security and an actual doctor came to see what the commotion was about. The doctor thankfully realized how bad off I was and took over.I would definitely not recommend this hospital for even a scraped knee.

I had an appointment earlier in the month they called 30 minutes before and told me the machines went down in radiology so they rescheduled told me they called my doctor and got an extension so I showed up this morning waited to be signed in only to find out they never called the doctor so my appointment is cancelled and now I have to call my doctor and get it straightened out. I wasted time and money on a sitter for my child so I could be here today the least they could have done was called me and cancelled and now Im left doing all the work of getting another appointment like I cancelled it. They get paid to do a job so do it.

MY SON WAS SEEN TODAY BY DR. CHAD THOMAS HENSLEY IN THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT AND I COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT THIS DOCTOR DID NOT THOROUGHLY CHECK MY SON! WE ARRIVED AT 12:28 PM AND HE DISCHARGED MY SON EXACTLY AT 12:45! IF MY SON HAS ANY ISSUES THAT SHOW ANY SIGNS OF NEGLIGENCE TO MY CHILD HEALTH I AM FILING AGAINST THE HOSPITAL! THIS WAS LITERALLY 17 MINUTES DISCHARGE UNBELIEVABLE

After sitting in the waiting room for almost 3 hours, we were FINALLY brought to a room to sit for an eternity! The nurses were sitting in their desks just laughing and talking (with a waiting room full of people!!) waiting for the next shift to get there..that is LAZY AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!

Over night ER visit went HORRIBLE. Some Male nurse, very heavy set (fat). Had the worste attitude I ever had from a nurse or any hospital visit. Was telling me to call my ride before even taking a look at me to find the problem or see what was wrong. A week later in Charlotte NC hospital I found out I needed open heart surgery to correct my problem. Kings mountain hospital did not even take a look at me and treated me as if I was lying about everything I said. Due to my health conditions, I have had alot of experience with hospitals and staff and I can say by far, this is THE WORST hospital i have ever been too! Also when i arrived (by ambulance) it took us nearly 15 minutes to get thru the ambulance ER drop off door. No one came to open it and no one was picking up when they tapped the buzzer. Not to mention the disgusting room I was put in. I hate this place and I would not send my dog to this hospital. If I could rate negative 5 stars then I would! If you are thinking about coming here then please drive the extra mile for Charlotte if possible! This was my experience with kings mountain hospital

Took my husband for a rib cage injury an they asked me to help get him dressed. They walked out i was helping him get ready to go home an they busted back thro the door. We both said wait a minute but they pushed there way back in. One nurse said she peed a little in her pants idk why she even said that. So many things happened there that day. They were just very unprofessional. Took my husband elsewhere to find that he was diagnosed wrong an did actually have broken ribs.

Worst experience ever I was treated horribly and rude I will be filing complaints all the way up the ladder.

I do not recommend this place at all! This particular hospital is going down hill fast. The whole ER needs a facelift with staff, including doctors and nurses. I find this extremely sad that you cannot get the help you need when being sick. We were told I was completely fine and possibly something viral. The PA (not an actual doctor) told me that if indeed I had the flu or strep throat that they would not test for it or prescribe anything for these symptoms due to the hospitals policy. I then said well how about my ear pain? Does it look like an ear infection? The PA stated I’m not sure but we unfortunately do not prescribe antibiotics for ear infections. I find that very comical as my children are on antibiotics for double ear infections at this very moment. Hmmm. Kings Mountian Hospital please have your PAs go back to school or take more tests to know what they are doing. This is real life and real people they are messing with. I just hope the negligence from the he staff does not kill someone in the near future. So completely sad. For the record I went to another doctor after I left and I was diagnosed with the flu; step and ear infection. My god, how did your PA not notice the symptoms or do any tests? Very unprofessional.

Is anything lower than one star available? Absolutely terrible service, their employees are the laziest I have experience thus far, your needs are not of their interest, they don’t have doctors walking around from what I’ve seen. If you or your family member is Currently admitted, get out immediately. I would not recommend this healthcare system to my worst enemy.

I would not even give them one star .My husband was treated there recently. They didnt clean his wound just squirted it full of glue and said go home. No stitches, no antibiotics. Then billed us $877 for the drsbill.If you can go anywhere else PLEASE DO.

This is my favorite hospital! The nurses have great manners and make u feel like ur talking to a close friend. I drive an hr just because this hospital has great service and friendly faces. Also wanna give props to the nurses on the morning 12am- 1:45 June 12th it was hectic when I got here and yet they still made sure to keep the process going and also make sure all in the area were in a safe zone from the chaos!!! Quick reception, however robotic nurses with no bedside manners. They did not understand the problem. A doctor was not sent in, I was also improperly diagnosed. I was given Aleve but no intention to my problem. I was later diagnosed with severe pelvic inflammatory disease and hospitalized. I will never come here again or waste my life with these unprofessionals.

DO NOT GO TO THE HOSPITAL UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE!! The nurses in this hospital have NO bedside manners. They clearly do not care about the patients. My mother had NO ONE even check on her the first night she was there for 5 1/2 hours.... No vitals, nothing for 5 1/2 hours. My mom had pancreatitus from her diabetic meds they gave her so much fluid that she ended up with fluid on her lungs and couldnt breath properly even though before they found that out I asked them to lower the fluid amount because she was not letting out close to what they were putting in her. Not to mention when she couldnt breath I had to call for a nurse over and over before anyone responded. Then when the nurse finally got there she blew it off like it was no big deal!!! There were lots of other issues we had but the whole point is unless you have a death wish DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!!

This has been the worsest experience ever my mom was transfered to CCC for rehab,she was at Cmc l and had been feeding her self and getting up with help I ask them not to move her I felt like she would get even note confused which she did and now shes not getting rehab shes getting medication to she want call out she has fell two different times her call lite is never in reach,shes tied down with all four side rails up thats a double no no per state hospital rules .I had a meeting with the nurse manager and CEO and promised that things would change and what changed was that now when she calls they dont call me they just give her something to knock her out.to keep her so out of it she cant vocalize what shes wanting to say all she can do is lay there.

The staff was very courteous and friendly.

Usually quick most of the people are friendly there is one Dr that is extremely rude and pray you dont have to take anyone to the hospital with him on duty because he would just rather not waste his time wish i could think of his name
