Sometimes situations bring you different places. But for a shelter situation. This place was okA lot of unfortunate people were there. But at least you can get a bed and food there. Nice people for most part

Shelter, I lost my housing so Im staying here. About half the folks there are people that have ran to the end of the road...But KOTS staff is trying with what they have available to them, not enough available... 😢

Its a great place if u have no options. They serve u breakfast and dinner then give u a sandwich for lunch the next day. Credit goes to St. Marys Catholic Church for supplying the food and more.

Truly awesome people. They constantly go out of their way to help the homeless and needy population of Key West. A homeless friend of mine had developed cataracts and had gone just about completely blind. Amy and Mike did everything they could to make sure he had a place to sleep at night, as well as transportation up to Miami so he could have a corrective surgery done. Even going so far as to taking their own personal time out for him with rides and such. Without them, who knows what would have happened to a blind homeless man. A+ people over there!

Decent Lodging, Showers, Food Supply. No direct Veteran services, must connect near by Veteran Clinic.

I went to KOTS (only outside) and the new ASPCA on Stock Island yesterday. What a difference in facilities! KOTS just has two quonset huts and an old trailer, squashed together, surrounded three feet away by metal cyclone fencing and a small picnic area. Dog facility was clean and pristine, with lots of room for the animals. We should be ashamed of ourselves for not treating our homeless as well as we do stray dogs.

Please dont get me wrong, I greatly appreciate to have a safe place to go at night. I came down here to seek employment. Im retired Navy. Due to unfortunate circumstances my bank acct was hacked and emptied out. I really had no choice but to go to the shelter.While watching the movie last night there were 2 guys that had been let in while they were drunk and nothing was said to them. I had a job interview this morning and needed a shower. I was yelled at for being in the shower at 6:30. It was my fault I didnt know that showers are not allowed after 6am. I said I had an interview and I was told it doesnt matter and I will be reported later in the day.

Its a great place to stay for the homeless if there is absolutely no place to go. I would recommend it.

KOTS is doing a wonderful job helping those less fortunate. Mike is a good man. If his honesty offends you, relook your values.

Im homeless, I met Mike, Tim, and Sam, wonderful people, of good Character. I since have found a place to live but I like theyre atmosphere so much that I joined the team as a volunteer night server!! Its my home now away from home lol . Mike is an excellent leader and Im sure he will be moving up in the world with his dedication and commitment to the Shelter. Outstanding and caring people. Same goes for Tabby. Tell ur friends......

They have rats in the mens sleeping area they have showers that been broken for months the toilets are clogged and water leaking on the floor from it. The staff treat people like inmates in jail. They will get in your face and yell and make threating remarks at people. I even seem one staff member take one of the females home with him in his truck. They play favoritism. The whole time me and my wife was there they would stare at her and made her extremely uncomfortable. Im glad we left cause I was on the verge of opening a lawsuit against the staff there! 😡

Too many drunks and drug usage. And thats just the staff. Then you got the homeless stealing from you all night. So bad people rather sleep in tent in hurricane dsmaged yards than stay there. Most of money to run place used on worthless services and bloated salarys.

There was only one shower for the woman, the bathroom doors are broken, mens bathrooms leaked under the trailer and the beds has sand fleas and the staff most of the time was rude
