An accident in our neighborhood took down the powerlines for my house and my neighbors. I have 2 small children and just filled my fridges with groceries. A large crew came out right away to fix the damage to our homes so that City Electric could run a new line. They were so fast that all of my food was saved and all the guys were so nice and professional. I cannot recommend them enough and truly thank them for making this mama happy.

I can’t say enough. Every single person who performed work took special care in making sure everything was perfect! I can honestly say I have never seen better workmanship. The office was amazing with scheduling and makes you feel appreciated when you walk through the door. The lighting has transformed our home to give it a modern look. Outstanding!Excellent communication from front office. Did an excellent project estimate, included all time and material unlike other estimates that were open ended. Showed up on time and on day promised. The electrician (Pat) did an excellent job, installed a new breaker panel, wires neatly routed and zip tied. Pride in craftsmanship, professional and polite! It was very easy to work with everyone from the owner to the electricians who were on site. They answered all my questions even tho they had probably been asked the same thing a million times. They were on time and completed work as they told us it would be done. Passed inspections with flying colors. I will use them again on other renovation projects.

I received a phone call from the owner Raymond completely out of the blue, about an outstanding invoice for work he had supposedly done at my elderly father’s house in Key West, just after Hurricane Irma. Apparently there had been some confusion as my brother and father share the same name, and Raymond had reached out to my bother for payment. My father has been staying with me since the storm, and neither of us had heard anything about this invoice prior to this call. Raymond was incredibly rude and accusatory saying he had been trying to collect on this invoice and that I was the responsible party. I was shocked and asked him to send me the invoice immediately, because again, this was the first I had heard of it. I received an invoice pretty quickly via email. I kid you not, the invoice had one line item that said ‘electrical work’...$2300. No explanation, no breakdown, nothing. I immediately called him back and asked him to please send me another invoice with a breakdown of services, labor, parts, etc, as this bill was quite expensive and had no explanation as to what was even done. Raymond was hostile in his response to this request, volatile even. He said, and I quote: “Why did I do work at your house???? Uhhhhh, because there was a HURRICANE” as if I didn’t know that. Then he started rambling off in electrician terms that no lay-person would understand about what he did at my fathers house. What a bully. In the end, my dad and I were both mortified that there was a bill for services due that had been outstanding for 3 months. My father insisted on immediately paying in full as he has been a Key West resident since 1971 and felt it was the best thing to do. As a condition of us paying this invoice in full, I asked Raymond to please send me something more detailed. I’d love to know to what degree my 74-year old father has been swindled by this company. Additionally, it would be amazing to have something viable to produce to my dad’s insurance companies. And let’s be clear, I doubt highly any insurance company would accept this invoice. I’ve asked Raymond and Tammy (the person who emailed this VAGUEST RECIEPT IN THE WORLD) for an acceptable invoice and so far nothing. Buyer beware. Experience was unnerving to say the least. In the event that I do receive an acceptable invoice statement that details services rendered, and once I can verify that the fees charged are in line with the norm, I will gladly change my review of this company, it’s staff and ownership.

This is the second time that I have used FKE at my home in Sugarloaf Key. Both times they have been professional and on time. It has been incredibly difficult to hire good contractors after Irma. This company not only raised the bar but set the standard that other contractors in the area should follow. I am incredibly picky about the quality of work that is done on my residence and I could find nothing to complain about with their top notch quality and workmanship. I highly recommend this company and will continue to use them in the future.
