First visit. 9:15 am. I was lucky to find parking right outside, although there is plenty of parking around the back of the BB&T Building.Immediate electronic check-in, which was quick and thorough. Brought to treatment room promptly. Kelly did my intake and was professional, thorough and cheerful. (I apologise for not knowing her credentials but I was very nervous).Dr. V is forthright, and thorough. I am confident in his ability to treat my specific issues and appreciated his willingness to see me for a second opinion combined with my first visit.

This is my 3rd visit to Keys Dermatology. Surgery on basal cells. As i stay away from social media I had a hard time figuring a way to offer my comments.They are fantastic. The bar Dr. V sets is clearly high, creating an environment that nurtures a staff both professional and friendly. Everything is checked, options discussed and treatment is precise.If like most of us down here you have spent time in the sun and on the water, get yourself looked at !

Just had some Basil cell removed from the crease of my left nostril. Check in is very pleasant and the receptionist answered all my questions. They provided a snack at the check in counter with a bottle of water. Music they played while we were waiting was exceptionally good. No funeral music in the parlor. Dr. V and his assistants working with him were all compassionate and professional. My pain was limited during the MOHL’s surgery and his closure on the wound was precise and tight to lessen the scar after the procedure. The staff at Keys Dermatology is excellent. My wife and I have always had very positive experiences.Last week I had a medical problem which landed me in the emergency room. After a difficult week of seeing three different doctors my problem was not resolved until I saw Dr. vonHilsheimer. He quickly identified the problem as an allergic reaction. Ordered the appropriate medications. In 12 hours there was improvement. In 36 hours I was well on my way to recovery. I didnt see a dr. I saw,a drs assistant. I had a very bad rash for a month. By the time i got the appt, it was 70% better i dont think she realized how bad it was. No tests were done.She gave ne a cream, that didnt really work. I felt like she should have addressed the cause, rather then just slapping some cream on it. I explained that it was recurring. That should have been a reason to try and find out the cause. It could be an ubderlying problem.

I was really nervous because I thought I had found a suspicious spot and was worried it may be skin cancer. Kelly is so nice and she reassured me it wasn’t, but while doing a check she found something else and had it biopsied. They are so kind and very thorough.

The PA and the assistant were super nice and the PA gave me a thorough exam of my skin and didn’t find any suspicious spots. From start at the sign in, the attendant was very helpful in verifying my Medicare since this was the first time since I turned 65. Also scheduled my follow-up in 6 months.

So very thankful for this excellent practice. I called to make an appointment for a basic skin check and was seen the next day. Amber and Kelly did a thorough skin check and Kelly performed 3 biopsies at that appointment. I believe this saved my life! One of the biopsies came back “ malignant melanoma in situ”. Today Dr vonHilsheimer did a wide excision of the area, answered my questions and removed a mole I was concerned about. I highly recommend Keys Dermatology and hope everyone who lives in this paradise gets a skin check!

Everyone I came into contact with was friendly but professional. My surgery was quick and done by a skilled Doctor familiar with my skin cancer situation. I definitely recommend this Dermatology clinic

I had a question on medications so I called their office. Although the receptionist tried to ask my question to the doctor or staff, she came back on the line and told me that I would have to make an appointment, which I did. I paid, after insurance, $60, to hear a PA tell me that she wasn’t sure about the answer and thus I should decide what to do about the medication myself. Useless visit.Additionally, I tire of making appointments with a physician to find, when I walk into their office, that I’m seeing his/her PA.
