Dr Gorman is a good Dr but the staff is rude and inept. There are too many incidents to name here but my daughter really needed the surgery so I stuck it out. If I had it to do over I would find another doctor because the frustration the staff causes is not worth it.

My husbands last Neurosurgeon retired and he referred us to Dr Gorman. We really appreciated the time he took to make sure we understood everything. Very kind and polite, most importantly he was knowledgeable and made us feel at ease.

I have been to Dr Gorman only once - for chronic lumbar pain - but will not hesitate to return, or to recommend him. I have been in healthcare for over 35 years, and am not an easy patient because I have more relevant knowledge than the average patient, and have seen my share of bad medicine as well. That said, I found Dr Gorman to be exceptional. The best way I can describe his style is collaborative, and focused upon solving the problem. . . not just going through the motions. This is in direct contrast with the style of many surgeons, who - intentional or not - can come across as quite condescending. The meds that he has prescribed have finally allowed to function nearly pain-free, and to sleep well at night again. If I do eventually need surgery to resolve my lumbar pain, I will have complete confidence in Dr Gorman to do the job. He inspires real confidence.

Dr. Gorman performed a complex and risky surgery on my mother that other surgeons wouldnt attempt. Dr. Gorman gave my 79-year-old mother her ability to walk again! He explained everything to us so well, had patience with our questions, and showed compassion. We are so grateful for his skill as a surgeon and his excellent care of our mother! Shelly Calvert

I work for a family practice office and we would NEVER treat our patients the way Evans (dr Gormans PA) treated me. I waited over a month to be seen only to get a call to be rescheduled due to him being in surgery, which i totally understand. However, what they failed to tell was that my appointment was at kettering and not at sycamore where i was originally scheduled. So, I drive to Kettering and the lady said she would let them know i was on my way and apologized for the mistake. I told them i recently had knee surgery so I was a bit slower than usual. I get there 20 mins past my appt time because i went to sycamore first, which was their mistake, only for the receptionist to tell me that Evans left for a meeting and he only waits 15 mins past the appt time for patients. then asked if i wanted to reschedule for a third time?!! Are you serious? As a new patient this looks very unprofessional and disheartening knowing i had knee surgery and went to the wrong office which was their fault anyways. this office is a joke and their communication is severely debilitated.

I have a rare bone disease, Osteogenesis Imperfecta or brittle bone disease. I was rejected without being seen by neurologists at OSU, Cleveland, KMC, and Cincinnati because of the rarity of my disease. I was in horrific pain from stenosis, herniated discs, and other issues. My life was at a complete standstill. Dr. Gorman was confident enough to take me on as a patient. It took a month after meeting him to have the surgery. He wanted to speak to other doctors familiar with my disease, and learn more about it. The four hour surgery took nearly eight hours, but it was successful. I have gone from excruciating constant pain to no pain in the area he operated on. I owe my life to Dr. Gorman. His bedside manner is kind, he is humble, and he answers any questions you have.

PLEASE READ ENTIRE REVIEW!!!! At first I was a little frustrated with the fact that it took me a month to get an appointment, then today when I had my appointment, Dr. Gorman was called into an emergency surgery so I was asked to come back in an hour and a half or reschedule. I decided to come back in an hour and a half and I’m very glad I did. Although the wait was still long when I came back with my 3 year old, I couldn’t have been more impressed with Dr. Gorman’s knowledge, and being so thorough with all of the information he provided on my back surgery options, all while my 3 year old had ran out of patience and could have been a very big distraction. He was phenomenal in doing his job and letting me know that a little distraction wouldn’t stop him from meeting with patients or performing surgery! After all, I would hope that if I needed emergency surgery, Dr. Gorman would stop what he’s doing to help me. Long story short...the best doesn’t come easy or fast, it comes to those who wait! He hasn’t performed any surgery on me yet, but I’ve been very impressed so far!

Not at all impressed. Mom had two MRI done in the past 13 months. First MRI took 2 months to get a call back with results. The last MRI was done 30 days ago. Two calls a week by mom and no results as of yet.
