Apparently they only work with one psychologist, an older woman (from what I can tell on the phone). She does not listen to our concerns and even made absurd and rude assumptions of how we’re raising our child. She’s always rude to my husband in the phone.

Avoid this place at all costs. They are extremely rude and will use your medications against you if they even think you’ve mistreated them. They do not care about helping people whatsoever, they are only in it for the paycheck from the state. Don’t plan on getting your medications refilled in any reasonable amount of time. “Do no harm” means nothing to these people

Waited a half hour for intake. Then another half hour before finally asking if they knew anything. The ladies at the desk, while pleasant, are given no information. I was told I could wait all day to see someone. Great news when you need mental health help.

Intakes are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Its first come, first serve; no appointments. Its best to get here at 8, because intake appointments are made for all 19 counties, NOT just Kerr. Its also best to have paperwork done beforehand (which you can come into office for or print online). Intake wait time can vary from 15 minutes-4 hours; it just depends. Intake is usually 1.5 hours, from which they will forward your paperwork to your assigned care coordinator. You then will meet with peer support, and your care coordinator, after which a dr appointment will be made. For Kids (17 and under), they must meet with care coordinator before dr appointment is scheduled. Its important not to miss appointments because it will delay your ability to get your meds refilled/prescribed. After a certain number of cancellations/no shows, you can be closed to services. Staff is compassionate and wants to help. #Beatthestigma

If you miss an appointment, even if you called them to let them know you wont be there, and you need refills for important medications, they will start toying with you and never fill them until weeks later. This is even when you call them up and tell them you need meds.
