I just had the best massage I ever got. With many mobility problems my muscles were tightening up and sore. 2 hours with hot rocks and I can finally move my arms freely. Im 68 and had many massages over my lifetime, this is a serious massage. I cant recommend them enough. She found sore spots on me that I didnt know I had, I will be back and am also sending my wife.

This is both a massage therapy school, and a massage therapy clinic.Ive visited the clinic a number of times and the therapists I have seen, are Aileen, and Amy, both are instructors at the school. Both of them are skilled, personable, and fluent in English, as theyve lived in the US for quite a while. They also offer student massage at really low prices, but I havent tried that out yet, so I cant comment on that.Their location has moved, they used to be in a strip mall on Highway 50 near the car dealers and the big shopping centers, but now they are a couple miles further east, closer to the lake and in their own small building. I like the massage rooms much better now- they are so much more quiet and private, and have separate bathrooms.Id definitely recommend this place for women, or men. Its a hidden gem, most people dont know about it. The prices are much better than the chain-massage places, like Massage Envy/Heavenly Massage, but the quality is similar. But like the chains, you have to call for call ahead to make appointments, its not a Walk-In type of place. I think the school is in session two or three days a week, the rest of the time its a massage clinic.

I went for a massage and what a joke!!!I had a 90 minute appointment set up. She asked where my problem area was. I told her. For 80 minutes she rubbed, not massaged my neck, shoulders and the back of my upper arms. No rhyme or reason to her actions. Not to mention that I have an entire body and thats why I booked 90 minutes.I cut it short because I was so uncomfortable. She was pissed! Being rude and semi aggressive as I was still on my stomach on the table. When I went out to pay it got worse. I asked how much and she said full price, I said I wasnt comfortable paying that. She didnt like that kinda yelling at me that she has magic fingers and you Americans. That was it I gave her the $90 bucks and letting anybody reading this know... I would never go there again!!!

This school is perfect for the returning student, or student who is very motivated to learn the art and science of Eastern and Western massage. You will need to put your time in for independent study to make sure you know the anatomy and physiology well, and the foundations of Eastern Medicine, acupressure points and meridians. This school is one of the few to offer cupping, tuina and gua sha courses.The instructors are flexible, open to your perspective, style of learning, and very knowledgeable. However, considering most massage schools cover the curriculum required to past the national boards exam in 24-48 months and this school offers the opportunity to sit for the exam in 10-12 months, you had better be ready to devote serious effort to mastery of the concepts, principles and practices. If you are not ready for a sizable amount of independent study, then this path is not for you. Prior knowledge in fitness, rehabilitation, and other allied health professions will definitely help, but is not a requisite.I would recommend this school to serious students with a passion for a truly unique and fast paced path to massage therapy certification.
