My wife and I liked it a lot. They were proficient with insurance and the doctor was nice. Good selection of glasses. I totally recommend it here.

I recently visited Dr. Lori as she was recommended by a family member. For starters, the receptionist is extremely well mannered not to mention the sweetest. I had an issue with my insurance and they took it upon themselves to go out of their way to get it settled for me. Then once I finished my eye exam I had to pick my frame for my glasses and of course the ones I chose were not covered by my insurance. However, Dr. Lori’s prices are so reasonable I was able to go with my first pick and pay the difference myself.

Very rude and unprofessional optometrist. Seems as shes pushing for sales and doesnt take the time to understand the patients or their needs. Lori Espinosa lacks understanding and compassion for patients. Very pushy and aggressive. Stay away from her poor manners, and extremely aggressive behavior. Speaks to individuals in a very demeaning manner. Poor experience, and just a horrible Optometrist. Dont waste your time. See many other horrible reviews.

I dont know if I should say this but I had a amazing experience there the eye doctor prayed for me as she was doing the exam she saw that I was a believer because I was wearing my Jesus t-shirt I just want to really remember that also very fast not expensive at all today I got contacts but they have beautiful glasses very sturdy not pricey at all considering very high end frames. Why say over the phone that the eye appointment would have a normal co pay, but in person the co pay 75 dollars because you dont file insurance. Should of known prior, so I could call the insurance to verify.I changed the review from 1 star to 3 because the doctor was very nice.However, the office manager called not understanding the review, my review is solely based on not being transparent with the insurance. Im not understandingWhy she said 99% of people under my insurance would be included, but not my daughter (and we have the benefits).

Doctor Lori Espinosa is extremely rude and she is not a kid-friendly person. I have a family of 6 and once we were late for an appointment and she was yelling at us like crazy. We used to be on time and we had to wait patiently but she couldn’t wait that day! Also, I took my mom once, she didn’t have insurance and I paid for her appointment and her glasses, “of course I didn’t use my insurance” and she was so mad that day that we were late that she started accusing me of using my insurance to pay for my mom expenses! This lady is crazy!! After this terrible experience we changed doctors and thank god we found Dr. Vanessa Marino and she is the greatest!

The dr. Wasnt very professional some of her jokes and remarks shouldnt have been said. Also the office isnt ran in order you can never reach them directly the number you get in contact with for them never knows how to reach out to the dr directly you have to physically pop up to be seen or get any information from this lady! I ordered glasses its been weeks and I cant reach them nor has anyone contacted me! Time to pop up again I suppose

Ive never left a review on anything before but this place definitely deserve one ! I tried to get a new Florida license Friday (since Im from out of state) and failed the eye exam! Yeah, Im embarrassed. I called 40 different eye doctors with no success. The location in Doral actually CALLED ME BACK !! The lady was amazing ! She squeezed me in an appointment at this location last minute. Im am beyond grateful and blessed to have been able to meet these awesome people. Because of you, I can fly home Sunday to visit for Thanksgiving. Second to that, I can see a thousand times better !!

Doctor is very rude. Came in for an appointment with my baby(2 years old). Told me my son was a disturbance and I should come back another day without him. She even wanted me to place him in another room by himself. How is that even possible, he will obviously cry if he doesnt see me.Then proceeded to charge me for services although I have insurance. Later I called my insurance provider and they told me everything is included in my plan. So this doctor stole my money as well. Horrible place abd employees dont care either.

I came in because i had a really bad eye infection and i needed urgent care, the doctor was very patient with me and also quick and concentrated on getting my eye better, i was in and out in less than an hour, id recommend this place for emergency eye care

Worst office Ive ever been in my life. I was there on October 12 to make my contact lenses. I just needed to do the left eye because the one on the right was still the same degree It was 1 month, it was 2 months, late December I called and informed me that my lenses had arrived. I went there to get and instead of contact lenses , they made glasses. At that time no longer had lens to use in the left eye, this lens, multifocal toric. They were going to order but today is February 7, almost 4 months after my visit and Im still without lens on the left eye . Besides being impaired from being without a lens, its almost time to take another exam to ascertain my grade. Do not recommend . Worst office!!!!!

I visited DR: Espinosa yesterday at the kendall office, i was treated with extreme care, and the selection of the glasses chosen by the doctor were my first pick, i would strongly recommend her to all my friends and colleges.

Took my wife and three kids. Overall, good experience. The Staff got us in close to our appointment time. The lady optometrist was pleasant and good with kids. It helped she spoke Spanish. We tried a private office this time because with our kids just need more attention. We got hands on at this place. The doctor explained things and made recommendations. The selection of glasses not as big as retail, but we found what we wanted and at a good price. Would recommend if you are looking for more private setting that is into eye care.

My wife had her glasses from this center, and my father was contacted directly by the doctor who due to the corona virus was impacted on deliveries, the doctor took her time to contact us since my wife was having issues driving safely and she not only expedited the glasses but she kept us informed at all times and thanks to the doctor and her exceptional performance my wife received the first pair hand delivered by the doctor and the second my father was called by the doctor herself to pick up and all this while under this pandemic. to the center if my wife or I showed any hostility I apologize and I would like to express the initiative the doctor took by always contacting my father and giving him her direct line. also I would highly recommend this center.Nelson Valdes Jr

The worse doctor ever !!! Took all 3 of my kids took more then an hr wait to just be taken in to another room to keep waiting the staff is only 2 ppl the place need fixing it’s horrible nothing like the pictures and the doctor is rude and literally ask you question as if you suppose to be the doctor . The lady in the front desk does not know what she is doing either she don’t even know how to look up insurance. Would not recommend this place to no one

Super retro, location looks like it hasnt been renovated since 2000. Waiting room felt like my grandmothers house. But over all very fast and super professional, I was in and out in 45 minutes. Not enough selection in glasses to choose from in my case but I left super satisfied. I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family because of its super friendly staff and professionalism.

Came because my insurance sent me but thank goodness they did. Service was good and Dr. Did good with the kids! I recommend to every body especially mom with kids!!

I have been coming here for the last 7 years and I can not think of anything negative to say. The staff is so welcoming and friendly, they take there time to help you pick your glasses. The Dr. is very attentive, professional and welcoming person as well. I personally wear contacts and she made sure I knew how to put them on and felt comfortable with them. Not many Dr. take their time because they are rushing patients out the door. Thank you Dr. Espinoza and the Kendall staff for always making my visit a delight. :)

I made an appointment for my parents with Humana Medicaid and I gave the receptionist their insurance number and they told me that they are covered here in this office. I came to the appointment and after an hour of waiting and waiting they finally told me that they dont show up in the system and they dont cover their insurance. This is such a great waste of time for me and my parents. They could have checked the insurance verification before our appointment and I already provided all the information for them. The office manager left the office and she wasnt even there for me to complain or ask them for the reason that this inconvenience happens. I dont recommend this place at all. Also from the office appearance itself I really wouldnt want to go there.

I really wouldnt recommend this place. The front office staff looks like they really dont know what theyre doing most of the time, you ask them questions and they dont know the answers to the questions and have to wait for the optometrist to come out and ask her. The office looks extremely outdated and was visibly dirty and not very maintained. The optometrist was very rude with her body language but very knowledgable when it came to facts. She did my exam in a hurry and my gut was telling me that the examination wasnt performed correctly, and i was right because i went to the another optometrist and they told me that Dr. Espinoza didnt do a good job getting my accurate prescription. It took kendall eye center 6 weeks just to have my frames done and they had told me it would only take 7-10 business days to have them ready. Do yourself a favor and find another eye doctor, i wouldnt recommend this place at all.

My visit to Kendall Eye Center was excellent! The doctor was knowledgeable and very patient! After determining I was allergic to sulfate, not only did she prescribe new drops, but asked me to wait at her office for a few minutes to see my reaction to the newly prescribed drops. I received a few calls from the office staff to ensure my treatment was working as expected. I will certainly return to this office for future check ups!

Dr. Espinosa is very unprofessional, rude and lacks customer service. We paid over $700 and none of the glasses were to satisfaction. The prescriptions were inaccurate “that’s what happens when you are getting older”, one of the frames broke “too old”, a pair of frames got lost and after three weeks of waiting were found “not even an apology”. We visited another eye doctor and after looking at the glasses and confirming the lousy work, we were able to acquire good reading glasses, but at a very high cost!!!Don’t go there, there are many other good optometrists in Miami.

I love Kendall Eye Center and Dr. Espinoza. I came here after moving to the Kendall area for my eye check up and Dr. Espinoza was so nice and informative. She explained everything to me as she went. The staff was very attentive and helped me tremendously choosing a frame that was suited for me. I will be bringing my family here from now on.

I was down to my last pair of contacts to which I lost one in the sink. I had no appointment but was able to be seen by Dr. Espinoza upon arrival. I must say that my experience was truly world class. After being welcomed by the associate at the front counter my wait was relatively short. Within minutes I was in an examination room. Dr. Espinoza was very pleasant and very informative. During the examination she kept me up to date with what she was doing while making me feel at ease with casual conversation. Go at your own risk. I was given a very incorrect prescription there. It was way too powerful for what I needed. I had to call my insurance and get a new prescription from someone else and had to get my glasses done twice. do not recommend

After years of bouncing between different optometrists and eye clinics, by pure happenstance I visited Kendall Eye Center. I have now been going there for two years for my yearly eye exams and contact lenses prescriptions. The staff is friendly and courteous and the optometrist gets you in and out, which is refreshing after being accustomed to waiting hours at every other eye clinic.

Unfortunately I was not able to use any and had to revert to using glasses which I wanted to avoid. (yes, vanity reasons). My colleague at work recommended Kendall Eye Center, and I am so happy I followed up. Within the first visit, Dr. Espinoza knew exactly what to do and not only corrected for vision but made me one very happy customer.

If I can give this doctor cero stars I will. What a horrible doctor. My 8 years old daughter is having headaches and vomiting because of her vision. The doctor told me that she will have the new glasses in a week. That is a normal time to wait for new glasses. When I went to pick the up, they told me to wait another week because the glassy didn’t arrive! So 2 weeks with my kid vomiting and migraines!!! Then they call me that the lenses have arrived but that I have to wait another week because the doctor doesn’t put the lenses in the glasses intel next week!!!!! So weeks with my 8 years old feeling sick!!! And she knew that little girl was vomiting!Don’t go here! The person that answers the phone is the morning, Mercedes, doesn’t know what she is doing. First she talks me that the accept my insurance and when I went to the appointment in the afternoon, the lady in the front desk told me that they don’t accepted the insurance. That I have to look for another doctor. I insisted and she talked to the doctor and the doctor told me that there was no problem! So basically the front deskpeople don’t know what they are doing!Very baaad experience! Now I have to go to another place and wait another week to do the glasses because of this horrible place!Update: Kendall eye center responded to my review with lies like they lied while I was a costumer. This is not a difference of opinion. They are making up fact to look better in google reviews.They promised the lenses in one week and didn’t have them for 3 weeks!, not in 3 days as they are writing.If you look at my review history you will see I have never left a bad review. But no one should suffer vomiting and migraines as my 8 year old daughter did. I went to Vision works (US1 and 136 st) and my little daughter had her new lenses in 24 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been going to Dr. Espinoza for 16 years. I have been to both her Kendall and Doral office. Although I only come in for my yearly exam, she always remembers me and my family. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They take the time to explain very clearly the charges and insurance coverage. Dr. Espinoza never tries to sell me something I dont need. I have had the same frame on my glasses for 10 years and she has never tried to pressure me into getting a new one, on the contrary she said you spent good money on those, why waste hundreds of dollars on a new pair unless you just really feel like having a new frame.

Love this Dr.!!! My husband is stationed here up by Doral, so he has been going to the Doral location for a few years. We live in the Kendall area so it is very convenient for us to bring the kids to this location. Both locations are great and for the whole family. They always make taking the kids to the Dr. easier by helping us to pick frames that are sturdy and safe and that the kids like. I would advise anyone looking for a good Optometrist and a good staff to call Kendall or Doral Eye Center

My experience at Kendall Eye Center was not that good. It took a long time to be seen and the girl in the front was very slow and could not answer my questions. the dr. was nice but i had to wait 45 minutes to be seen. Then to try and choose a frame with the girl taking so long i was there for an hour and a half! I ended up not getting any glasses because she was so long and i didnt feel like she wanted to help me. Plus she was unsure of the cost to me. I didnt feel comfortable purchasing glasses. If not for that I would go back.

Terrible service. -The dr was 40 min late and the man in front doesnt even tell u shes running late . After 30min of waiting I asked him how much longer and he said shes almost here. Instead of telling me when I got there and also he didnt even apologized.. he tells me everything is covered under my insurance but I had to pay a co pay of $220 instead of telling me in the beginning but he decides to tell me after my exam and after they dialated my eyes.. they call me to pick up my glasses 6 days later and he tells me they are there all day with no breaks so I rush over there during my lunch break and they have a sigh at the front on break be back in 30 . And To top it off they were in break for 50min . First and last time they will see me.

The staff is very professional and willing to help in whatever way they can. Dr Espinoza is knowledgable, professional, and very accommodating. Terrible Service. Extremely rude and unhelpful staff. I visited this facility on a Saturday as I was desperate and in a lot of pain. Dr. Espinoza saw me and said I had a horrible eye infection. She was going to call in a prescription. The prescription never made it to the pharmacy. I checked several times throughout the rest of the weekend. On Monday I called at 10am and it took until 3:30 for the Dr to call in the prescription. I asked for proof the prescription was called in. After several frustrating phone calls with the office staff. I asked that the Dr call me. I received a call from the office staff again, telling me the prescription was called in at 7pm (5 hours after my appointment) and that was all the proof I was going to get. The Dr could not even call me out of courtesy. I have never received such unprofessional horrible service. Please do not visit this office go anywhere else!!!!

I will not be visiting this office again.1) The doctor made a rude comment about me having to go to the restroom twice during the visit (one was while I was waiting for my appointment), which was none of her business to comment on.2)She told me I had a swollen optic nerve which is directly related to PCOS. She referred me to my primary care AND my gynecologist to schedule an MRI.3) After speaking to my primary care doctor, they could not issue the referral for the MRI without first seeing and ophthalmologist. They had never heard of a PCOS connection.4) Called my gynecologist, said there was no PCOS Connection.5) Went to an ophthalmologist, they said my nerve was not swollen and a MRI was not needed. He referred me to a retina specialist to confirm the optic nerve was not swollen. MRI not needed. Both doctors here said no connection to PCOS.So the doctor clearly misdiagnosed me and sent me all over town in search of a referral for a MRI that wasnt needed, and her next step should have been to refer me to an ophthalmologist which she did not. I had to take multiple days off work to deal with this, all for a false diagnosis. She also made false claims of PCOS connections (ones reproductive system has nothing to do with their eyes).THEN I went to pick up my glasses and the prescription is not correct. It was fine looking at the computer but not down at paper, which was my only complaint when I came into the office in the first place. Even the desk clerk said I should have had bifocal glasses but the doctor didnt prescribe that.I have spoken with the office manager, it has been weeks and I still do not have the correct glasses or a refund.

I apologize to give a different review from the postive but it is my experience that I am sharing. I DID NOT have the same positve experience mentioned in the other reviews. From beginning, I noticed they were not very accomadating. I called to schedule and they mentioned not accepting my insurance. I called the insurance assured me that they were covered. I called back and I recommended for them to look a little further into and they agreed that it was accepted. Then, scheudling for me is challenging as I work with patients all week so I could only go on a Saturday. I understand that is challenging but I have a chiropracters office be more accomadating and motivated to see how to meet the needs of their client mroe that the Kendal Eye center. They were not accomadating so I had wait some time to see them. I did the evaluation and submitted an order for contact lens. I had to wait as it was over the holidays, which I understnad. However, when they arrived I had wait another 3-4 weeks because just to pick them up as they had absolutely no time to accomdate me. Other clinics again, atttempt to accomdate and try to coordinate to call you if any cancellations. I would have to cancel my patients to go accomdate their schedule. Finally, I receive the contact lens that are hard lenses and they are handed to me with no instructions simply because I had worn something similar 25 years earlier for a short time. One became ledged in my eye incorrectly and the doctors reaction was oh my which isnt comforting. Gave me some instructions which bascially meant I would have to flush my eye and work it out of my eye which I did. Then, I had diffciulty with the lens and came back for a follow up to which she expalined I was having a reaction. Okay, she recommended a medciation for the eye and I purchased it. Then, the contacts gets lodged in my eye again and unfortuantley I was at home as the office was closed. When I looked on the internet, there appeared to be more videos on instructions on inserting and removing lenses that was never provided to me including a little stick that is can be lile a suction device. After 2 hours, I was able to remove it. The lens were not functioning for me. I called to see if I can do anything to exchange, get credit, refund or something. Of course the answer I expected was no and thank you for your call. Sure enough, that is precisley what I received was no we dont. I then asked to close my account and that I would not use the lenses as it was not appearing to be functional or practical for me. The response from front desk thank you very much for calling Again, no service recovery or attempt to work with the client. This is generally a sign that they have more clients than they need. A competitive place is always more concerned about good cusotmer service and accomadating until they become too big . Then, they can afford to simply say thank you for calling It was disappointing.

The most unprofessional eye center Ive ever been to with such an unfriendly staff. I told them from the minute I walked in I had insurance but apparently they chose to ignore that. It wasnt until I had been waiting for 45 minutes after filling out all the paperwork when I asked what my co-payment would be that one of the girls (Diana; the nicest out of the two because the other one has no customer service skills whats so ever) that the lady who takes care of the insurance was no longer there, therefore they would see me as someone without insurance but theyd give me a discount for the test to come out to almost $70 dollars when my co-payment is only $15. Dont even bother going in there.
