If you are in need of psychiatric care this is not the place. I called in June and it took a month for my first appointment in July which was over the phone due to COVID. I was told someone would call me in 2-3 weeks. After a month I called once every two weeks leaving voicemails with the supervisor and director as instructed. Each time giving full details as to why I was calling and asking for someone to please call me back. By the end of September I had given up. I find the whole situation to be quite ridiculous. These are professionals who are supposed to be in the business of helping people and couldn’t manage a simple phone call in two months. I think they should take their job more seriously considering what they do and that people reaching out for help may not be in the best frame of mind. Needless to say I have gone elsewhere but not before putting in a complaint with the BBB. It was only then that I received a letter from them apologizing and stating that they were investigating.

At first I thought it was not the place for me, but one of the counselors is helping me and she is great. She is getting me services when I need them. I do see psychiatry and I do not care for the person I am seeing. She does not ever listen to me and I do not know what to do about it. Everyone else has been really understanding. About the bill: I think the receptionist has to ask == I am sure that arrangements can be made for payments if you dont have all the money. I am sure they are good about that. Dont blame them. They have to ask for the payment. Just tell them you dont have the money.

The representative they connected me with on Wednesday at 9am was very pushy, incredibly rude, and started to scream at me through the phone in a clearly irritated manner because I am hard of hearing and kept apologizing for asking her to speak up. When I told her that the way she was talking to me was rude she said sorry, but youre not really giving me a choice here then scoffed at me. When she put me on hold, the machine eventually hung up and there was no follow up call. Terrible morning staff customer service. I should have read the reviews before calling.

The staff employed, many have their own problems and are not caring or tolerate of patient care. They sabotage patients well being. The area is in great need of better educated and trained facilities which will promote mental health awareness and give support and not hinder people with serious illnesses. They should be closed down and bought out by those who are willing to do the job right. Mental illness has a stigma that needs to be demolished in this time and age. It is no longer the 1930s where families hide family members in attics...this is no different than any physical ailments and society and support people need to stop pointing fingers, neglecting and start giving humane treatment. MFS is far from doing so and has deteriorated these past decades. They have an overturn of staff on a constant basis so are constantly hiring new staff. I highly suggest those in need seek help elsewhere. Gov Sununu has no clue to the true need in this state. He is more concerned with gaining votes, visiting local restaurants. The opioid epidemic has replaced mental health. Many are born with mental illness while those who choose drugs, get better care than those who had no choice but give the govt a reason to get more money, they will gladly sign up, using for what they wish, not always the need. Very few are born with drug addiction opposed with those who suffer mental illness from birth and.or their environment raised. They say it takes a village to raise a child......it takes a heart to treat the mentally ill as they so deserve.

They have literally made my life more livable. They have supported me with case management, psychiatric evaluations (when needed), weekly therapy, support groups, a personal trainer to work on heath and nutrition, and a psychiatrist to oversee my medications. They also provide 7x24 emergency support and staff a psychiatrist at the local hospital for screenings for possible hospitalization if needed. This agency is a non-profit that works with anybody, no matter what their financial situation is. The 1 star reviews seen here are all written by people who seemingly dont actively participate in their treatment. In order to get any prescriptions written out, you must demonstrate that you attend weekly therapy, etc...

Had an intake appointment there and they never ever got back to me about a therapist or which DBT group they were going to assign me. I called and my current therapist called SEVERAL TIMES, including the CLINICAL DIRECTOR, left with voicemail every time and they NEVER REACHED OUT BACK. This place is a joke. Extremely unprofessional. Will never recommend to anyone and never will return.

A vital organization for our community in the Monadnock region. This gem of a non-profit provides critical services for our local families and friends, especially during times of crisis, as our community and state are now in with the opioid epidemic. The clinicians and employees that Ive met at MFS are all passionate, kind, and dedicated professionals, who work hard and put their patients wellbeing first.

Only go here if you are extremely abusive or high on drugs. They actually dont care about helping families or people with other problems what so ever. All a scam to make money. Paid $175 for a 15 minute visit for them to say they couldnt help me. Thanks!

Terrible place. Walked in to get a psychiatrist and they turned me away because I already had a therapist at a different agency and didn’t want to transfer that part of my care because at that point, I had been with her for 6 years. Money hungry and picky about who gets help.

The Peterborough office of MFS has literally been a lifesaver for my daughter. We were switched from a couple of counselors before we found the connection that works for her, but thats normal with any organization.

My brother went in for an appointment to refill his medication for schitzsophrenia and Bipolar dissorders. He has been on the medications for years and is on dissability for them. Not only did MFS say they had no record of the appointment, but when the dr. decided to show up the next day it was a new lady named PEG CORNELL who had never even met him. She had a list with his proven prognosises and proceeded to tell him he was odd and that he needed to change his life and grow up? His medication has helped him to get a car a job and become a good member of society. So why mess everything up, because she doesnt know him and she obveously didnt want to be there. My brother also had a hard time talking to people especially ones he doesnt know and she was almost taunting him and making fun of him. She wouldnt even let him read what his mother had helped him write to make the appointment easier. She said she would give him paxil and he told her they tried that a few years ago and he told her that he tried to kill himself when given the paxil and she told him it was that or nothing and precribed it to him. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This isnt the first problem weve had with MFS in Keene NH. Almost every month we go through calling many times just for a refill and hes precribed serious drugs. You cant just not be there to refill a presciption like that its a complete joke and should be punishble as a crime. They are irresponsible and never there for the patients. If you want THE OPPOSITE OF HELP GO THERE
