They are the best. We are training our malamute from puppy through obedience classes. Maddie and Abbie have been amazing taking care of us and training They listen to our needs and make adjustments needed. They are always available to answer questions and provide additional information that we didn’t realize would be helpful. The extra tools such as videos, podcasts, etc are very helpful to keep us on track 😉 would TOTALLY recommend to anyone ❤️

We started with Cornerstone Dog training just 3 days after bringing our 8 week old puppy home. They helped us kennel train him, potty train him and fine tune all this little puppy habits. We continued on through Advanced training and at 7 months we have such an amazing dog! He is well behaved, travels with us and stays in hotels, hikes, lays calm at the park while the kids play, etc. The whole Cornerstone team is remarkable. We specifically worked with Abbie for the majority of training and she is so sweet and helpful. I would recommend this team of people to anyone! We are beyond grateful for the knowledge and understanding of everyone at Cornerstone! We’d easily do it again if given the chance!

Our Molly dog was trained by Jason and Lorelei, Cornerstone Dog Training, as a puppy, as part of their board and train program in 2019. Molly is now 2 years old. We were so nervous to try another board and train program after a bad experience elsewhere but Jason and Lorelei were so patient and went through our many questions to help us be comfortable leaving our dogs with them for three weeks. They really treated our dogs like their own and were just amazing! It doesnt hurt that our dogs came back as better behaved companions that we knew how to work with, either. 😉 You get what you pay for and for us being able to enjoy spending time with our dogs is worth every penny!

I contacted Conerstone and Lorelei gave me a lot of info over the phone. Then we had a good initial consultation with Jason and this training program seemed great. Two months later and we just completed one on one puppy training with our German Shepherds. Abbie was a great trainer! I recommend good training at any stage for any dog. Its helped me be a better pet owner. This group will help you get it done with many tailored options.

We just wrapped up our second (but first full) board and train session with Cornerstone, and we could not be more impressed by the full transformation of our 11-month-old Mini American Shepherd. Our little guy was a timid, disorganized, very high-energy puppy who was starting to intimidate our young girls as he grew bigger and stronger. He was becoming a lot to handle for our family. Three weeks with Cornerstone and our fantastic trainer, Josh, and he returned an obedient, calm, organized, and predictable dog. Josh addressed all of our concerns and trained our little guy in an environment similar to ours, to ensure that our concerns and the puppys transition would be as seamless as possible. Olive just finished her advanced obedience course with Cornerstone Dog Training! She learned and improved so much throughout the course, and it was so fun to watch as she figured things out. Ruby is an AWESOME trainer, responded quickly to every question I had between sessions, and helped me work on individual issues that we were having. We even met up at the dog park after graduating to let our pups play, and when Olive spotted her across the park she got so excited! 100% recommend them to anyone who needs help with their dogs, they are awesome to work with and as long as you keep consistent with the training between sessions your dog will improve a lot!

Absolutely the only place I would recommend for someones dog. Extremely professional when you talk to them the first time on the phone. I emailed them a list of expectations and behavioral corrections our mastiff needed. We went over my expectations and they went through the email with me line by line explaining how each action will be corrected. After going over the email she told me which programs will be best for our dog. We decided on boarding, because we are from Las Vegas and it would be to difficult to attend the weekend classes.When we dropped her off you get the vibe That your dog will be staying in a safe, loving, family environment. Throughout our dog stay we were updated through Instagram. I would text and call for updates and questions. I would always get quick responses. When I picked our dog up after three weeks she was a complete different dog but her loving playful personality was still there. When I picked her we went over all the commands. It was hard to go over the commands because my dog behavior didn’t need to be correct. We also went over the email I sent and they wanted to make sure I felt my expectations were met. A follow up class was giving to the rest of our family a week later (my kids, husband, and brother). It’s been a month and our dogs behavior is still like the day I picked her up.

Im hoping Ill be able to get a service dog and have them get trained at your location. Im only 14 with quite bad disabilities. Im hoping that I can save up to help out with the process. Your location is the best for me in Layton, plus with the good reviews. Really hope to work with you soon!

We were going to get rid of our dog but then we heard about Cornerstone. It was worth every penny and every minute! Our hyper border collie is now well behaved and we can take her anywhere with us. We’re so grateful for the one-on-one attention and for the constant communication. Cornerstone helped us bond with our dog and we are all in love and can’t imagine our home without her! Our nine month old golden doodle needed some help with being more calm. After spending a few weeks at Cornerstone Dog Training, he came back a changed dog! Our dog was two years old and started to have some terrible habits. The two worst were marking up our new house peeing along our baseboard and he also started to bite/nip at kids when they came to pet him. I can honestly say that this training program has 100% corrected both those problems and made him a well trained dog who is much less anxious than he was before. He has not marked our house once or bitten anyone is the past nine weeks! These guys stand by their guarantee that your dog will be trained after their 9 week program, well worth your money!

Jason and Lorilie have been invaluable in helping us with our dog. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs support and assistance with their dogs behavioral problems. I just wish we would have come into them sooner with our dog. Not only did they fix specific issues with our dog such as jumping on people, but also her overall demeanor is calmer and more settled. Loved training with Cornerstone! Jason is great at teaching you how to work with your dogs specific problems, while teaching more than basic obedience. We signed up because our 10 month old cocker spaniel started resource guarding. He was also very disobedient. Within the first week, it was like we had a brand new dog. Every week since hes become better and better. He now doesnt show any signs of guarding, he walks properly on and off leash, he is amazing around other dogs and children, and is just all around a more calm dog. Its a lot of work, but so worth it. Our dog is noticeably happier now that he has some structure in his life. We cant wait to do the program with our 10 year old dog next. This program is worth every penny!

Jason is terrific! He worked with my 7 month old puppy for a little while before I got her, she came knowing commands and manners I have always looked for in a family dog. My follow up training session with him was very informative and I cant believe what he was able to teach her and I in that session. I enjoyed how is would explain in detail the reasoning behind everything he was teaching and answered all my questions. I would recommend Jason for any needs you may have with your dog, I know I will continue to take Honey to him for continued training.

We enrolled our 4-month-old golden retriever in Jason’s puppy obedience class, where we learned potty training, crate training, sit, down, place, and heel, as well as manners (how to stop your puppy from chewing or jumping up). They are in demand as a training group but made sure to fit us in their schedule as needed. I apologize now for the long post but I have a lot to say. My dog is an Australian Shepherd / German Shepherd mix names Zeppelin. He’s a big 90 lb boy who has high anxiety when he sees other dogs and starts acting very aggressive. It started at about 9 months old and I wasn’t sure how to handle it so I stopped taking him places. This caused it to get worse and he was stuck in my house all the time. He has always been so stubborn and if he didn’t want to do something, he wouldn’t. Finally at 2 yrs old I decided I needed to get some help with him. I knew I wasn’t giving him the life he deserved.I found Cornerstone Dog Training and had a consult with them. I met with Jason and immediately had the confidence I needed to start training. Ruby was our trainer and she was amazing! She gave me all of the tools and showed me exactly what to do during our sessions. She gave me a clear layout of what I needed to do with him each week to make it a successful training. I finished training two months ago and everyone that knows Zeppelin has complimented how good of a dog he is and how he has done a complete 180 with his obedience. During training I lost confidence a few times because he seemed to digress. I would send her messages while in tears because I didn’t feel like it was working. She was more than happy to talk me through anything that was going on and explain what could be causing the issues and she was always right of course! I’m so impressed and happy with our results. Although he still is struggling with other dogs (this is going to take a lot of time and work), I know we will eventually get there.Luckily for us they have free group classes after training to keep things going. The first group class we went to after training was a struggle for us. He was barking and lunging at the other dogs. I was so anxious the whole time. Jason stepped in and showed me what to do on the spot and by the end of the hour, Zeppelin was walking along side other dogs which is a HUGE win for us. I cried the entire way home because I never thought that was something we would be able to do.We are absolutely going to be continuing group classes and I am fully confident that he will be able to be around other dogs with no issues in the near future. I can’t recommend Cornerstone enough to anyone who is struggling with ANY issues with their dog. I can actually take my boy camping and hiking and to hang out with friends. His life is substantially better and you can see how much happier he is! I’m so grateful for everything Jason, Ruby and the crew have done for us!

Jason is a phenomenal dog trainer and a really great guy to know. We had a misbehaving puppy that was becoming possessive over his food and toys -- not only that be he wouldnt listen to a word we said. We have a 1.5 year old Belgian Tervuren, and took her to Cornerstone Dog Training to work on basic things like excessive barking, leash pulling, and dog aggression. To the credit of Cornerstone and the trainers, we solved these problems quickly and moved on to behaviors that have made having a dog so much more enjoyable than it already was. The trainers care about both handler and dog, and constantly helped us to build a good working relationship with our high-drive dog. I can not recommend this company and program highly enough!

Jason is a miracle worker! Just within our first session with him our border collies behavior improved dramatically! We have gone to another dog trainer before and our border collie made some progress but it was nothing compared to the progress our dog has made under his guidance. I would definitely recommend him to anyone because he really knows his stuff and he is very patient and accommodating. :)

This program is amazing! Jason is helping my dog Wilson and I go through some obedience training and the transformation is incredible! I feel like I can actually communicate with my dog now and he understands what I want from him. I recommend Jason and his program wholeheartedly!

They’re very kind and patient with me. It was very impressive to watch what they’re done with their own dog. However I feel like it was just a simple to order DVD instruction video then pay $600 for three lessons. I thought with that kind of money I would get a lot more out of it. But they just showed me their techniques and then wanted me to do everything at home. I’m a very busy woman and I do the best I can but Unless you are a stay at home mom there’s no way I could give her the training that they were trying to show me. Just thought I would have a lot more out of it. My dog is still just as bad as before even with taking time to do the techniques.Just finished the training for the dog they took her to fix what she had not learned in puppy training and she did just finished a board and train with them so far so good as long as we can keep it up at home and they will always be there for us I have to say I’m thoroughly impressed with the patients they’ve had not only from my dog but especially for me.

The training is life-long because they teach you how to train and communicate with your dog.I adopted a 6 year old Pointer/Lab mix who is very high energy and was very wild. My wife and I were very stressed and started thinking we might not be a good fit, but we decided to try Cornerstones program before we gave up on him. We are very glad we did. We are his 5th owner! After several weeks of hard work, we have a completely different dog. We learned how to focus his energy in positive ways and put him to work, which can be as simple as sitting in place. Both my dog and I are much happier now that we know how communicate. I highly recommend Cornerstone Dog Training.

I cannot recommend Cornerstone enough. My dog has been to two other trainers over the last 4 years I have had him - one for group and one for individual - and while he learned things, he made nowhere near the progress he did with Ruby and Austin at Cornerstone. My dog was extremely anxious and reactive to other dogs, cars, bikes, etc and it made for an anxious dog owner as well. We rarely took walks and while I would never get rid of him, it was exhausting having such an anxious dog. We started off with a temperament test with the owner, Jason. He stated he felt the 9 week individual classes would be best for Eli. I was shocked at the price but I felt it was an investment that we absolutely needed and after finishing the 9 weeks today, I would have paid way more. I would have paid more after the first day. All of the tools used were included as well as monthly group classes once the 9 weeks are finished. The e-collar has been an amazing way to communicate and he is following commands even when he is Not wearing it. We have always had a strong bond but it is incredible now. I have now taken him to busy stores such as Cabelas and Lowes mid day on a Saturday! One of the classes is a field trip with your trainer to a store. And he laid next to me or walked at my heel the whole time. I used to barely be able to take him out the front door with his 50 lbs self dragging me down the street and now he doesnt even pull when he isnt in his heel command. We will continue to socialize him with other dogs at the group classes and even with that being a work in progress he is SO MUCH CALMER. The trainers at Cornerstone have incredible knowledge and believe in the program, some having gotten started training because of it working for their aggressive dog. I cant wait to see how Eli progresses now that he has graduated to the group classes. Thank you so much Ruby, Austin, and Jason!

My husband and I trained our adult Boxer and Labrador with Jason and Kyle and we are incredibly happy with the results. Our dogs have learned to be calm and stay on their beds in the house, they have a great off-leash heel, and their recall is solid. We love to hike outdoors and now we can hike confidently, knowing that we have control over our dogs when seeing other dogs and people. I highly recommend this program to anybody with a dog. Our boxer was an adrenaline junky before this training and he needed an intervention. But even our labrador, who was calm and mild before the training has greatly improved with Jason and Kyles help. We now have two wonderfully trained dogs and we are so happy!

Jason has been amazing with my dog, Enzo. He was a rescue dog. At 6 years old, Enzo started aggressively biting and I could not break him from it and was considering putting him down rather than risk someone else getting hurt. After Enzo viciously bit me, I was afraid of him. The biting completely disconnected our bond. That’s when I found Jason 🙂. I took Enzo to him for a temperament check to see if the problem could be resolved. I have had and trained many difficult dogs and I was pretty convinced Enzo was hopeless. Jason immediately gave me the correct tool/slip leash with information about how to use it so I would be safe without any pressure to do his program but encouraged me to consider it because he thought Enzo was worth saving. We did finish his program and worked hard to rehab him (and trained me!) Enzo is doing great now! He is as consistent as I am. Jason is calm and persistent. I would highly recommend him personally and his training program. The monthly socialization classes are super helpful.
