Wow! This office has been going down hill for quite some time but today took the cake. Very rude staff. Customer service is not taught at this office. If you can get past the rude front-facing employees, some of the doctors are good. Finding another physician today. Would not recommend.

Not only is Mike Crim the best doctor Ive seen in decades, he has become a good friend of mine. I trust Dr. Crim with my life and he has saved it several times. You should count yourself luck to have him looking after you or your loved ones.

I have gone to Briarcliff for over 20 years. There’s only one dr I was not satisfied with. All others are fully capable and good in their field. I really liked Dr. Stanley. Extremely knowledgeable and all around professional. Unfortunately he just retired, so I am looking for a new one. Numerous times they have worked me on the same day for different ailments like the flu. etc.., I have no idea why there are negative comments. I’m sure there are many other medical associates that are good as well, but over the last two decades I have never had a bad experience. Even though Dr. John Stanley was my primary, I have seen various others doctors there. It’s as good as any in the Northland.

Mother called to get me a appointment because i was having a pain that all reseach says see a doctor asap. We cant see him because he hasnt been back in x amount of year. Because i havent been sick! Then add to the fact that they said they couldnt get to it till January. I loved this doctors office ive literally been going there since I was born but dont know if Ill ever be back. Way to show you care about people that need to see a doctor. Just because someone hasnt been there in a while doesnt mean you turn them away or if they tell you its a urgent thing that needs to be looked at by my/a doctor then, dont tell them you can see them in JANUARY.

Been my family clinic for 8 years, they’ve been good to me and my family until recently, I don’t know what’s got into them. My daughter had an annual physical and brought up that she has a chronic cough at the appointment. She was told the cough couldn’t be addressed because it’s an annual physical. Scheduled and paid for another visit a week later. So she had to suffer another week with this cough, what if it was COVID? No test done! She still has the cough and not scheduled for follow up to date. Then, most recently, I asked them for some preventative prescriptions for a travel to Asia. There is no hospital on the island we’re going, and I’m most concerned about me or my family contracting COVID-19 in transit, as with the heart surgery and my age I’m considered high risk. Being a tropical island with malaria I had hoped I could be prescribed hydroxychloroquin as a preventative, was told by the doctor, no way. I was approved for z-pac and zinc, which I do appreciate. I understand they are monitored and regulated by the AMA, and though I may feel I should be accommodated, it may be a request they are unable to fulfill. Anyway I was told I’m approved for z-pac, and when I went to pick it up the next day found out it was never ordered. So I wasted my time going to pick it up when all they had to do was tell me they weren’t going to order it after all. I feel this clinic is losing their patient care, communication and standards. Guess it’s the sign of the times. Rant over.

I am reading all the negativity here and I just have to say that our family has been going to Briarcliff Medical for 30 years and have always been happy with their care. I cannot fathom hating the office staff. We have always been treated with kindness and professionalism. Thank you all for many years of excellent care.

To be a schedule to establish care with a provider that actually had a desire to be treat patients I work in healthcare for over 15 years I work at KU and I have never been treated in less than a five minute time frame at a new patient appointment By far the worst physician I have ever met!

My 92 year old mothers doctor retired, but we not told by that practice we needed to establish with one of their other doctors before he left. So, she had a medical problem and when we called for an appointment, the earliest they could see us was January, 2020 which was 3 months from away. We need to wait 3 months for a medical problem? I dont think so. So, I went searching and finally found someone who was referred me to Dr, Crim. I was able to get in within a week and he was great. He was not condescending as other doctors have been with her, dismissing her concerns because of her age. I liked him so much I changed to his practice also.

Dr. Shin is absolutely wonderful, however I cannot say the same for the front desk/phone staff. Receptionists are extremely rude and not helpful whatsoever. Every time I call to ask questions, it never fails that I get transferred at least four times. Almost every receptionist I speak to are rude and not willing help me when I ask questions and seem like it’s an inconvenience that they have to do their job. If I need any sort of medical documentation, whether it be for school or extracurricular activities, they get very short with my questions and simple requests. If you don’t wanna do your job, then why are you there?

Our family have been patients with Dr Stanley as primary physician for 30 years. We dont always get to see him. We have never had a problem with him, any other doctor, nurse or staff. We just happened to see some negative comments and thought we would rate our history with this group. Excellent is all categories. Aaron

I wanted to give my review as I was confused there is a low star rating. Rebecca Ehrich is wonderful! I have been seeing her for a few years and my mother sees her now and loves her as well! She takes great care of us and we appreciate her so much! I have always been treated great here and have never had any issues with nurses or office staff. Everyone is always professional and always a great help!

After searching for months to find a DO who took my insurance I found one who was easy to contact via phone as many doctors offices had neglected to return my calls. I was told my appointment started at 330p. I arrived to my new patient appointment on time but I was not seen until 45 minutes after my appointment time. After the doctor burned up the time I had to leave to get to my next destination. When I had to stop the appointment I was told it would be treated as a NO CALL NO SHOW and they did not wish to have me as a patient. I left disappointed but I am glad I dodged that bullet. If they couldnt respect my time Lord knows how they would have treated my body.

My husband and I have gone toDr Frederickson for a little while now.Though the doctor himself isnt bad just a little monotone. The staff that represents his office (the ones who sit behind the front desk) are probably the rudest ladies at a doctors office I have ever encountered in my life! Plus, just a heads up - this office makes up their own hours on Saturdays. I was told they were open from 8-12. When I arrived it was 11:30, thinking I didnt need to hurry, well turns out they closed at 11:20. I was also told that sometimes they closed at 10am. So that I should probably call first. Never again will we be back.

If I could choose 0 stars I would. The care that my family and I have had from Rebecca Erich started out ok but over time has gotten to be less than expected. Nurse Linda has always been rude as are the people at the front desk, most of the time, not so much to your face but definitely over the phone. The last straw was a few days ago when I spoke with nurse Amy regarding my daughters diagnosis. Her response when I asked her what it was and I quote Um-er-oh-uh-well I would have to google it or you could just google it. I was absolutely dumbfounded. I said thank you, hung up and found a new doctors group.

Stay away from here! This Meritas health location deserves much less than a 1. My primary care physicians office closed unexpectedly, I was unable to get my MAINTENANCE prescriptions refilled due to the closing. One I had been on for 9 years - it is dangerous to just STOP TAKING! I was attempting to establish a new primary care physician and this place put me off for almost a month. They claimed they did not receive my Faxed records until 5 days after I had proof my former doctors office sent them. It was only after many calls that Kim told me, they just showed up in my que and I will get them to Dr. Fredrickson. He will review them and let you know if he will accept you as a new patient. I had been a patient of Dr. Kenneth Mann at the North Kansas City location of Meritas for years just 2 years before my current doctors office closed. I tried there first and they were booked until March 2018. It took another 2 weeks and again, only when I called and finally got in touch with KIm, she told me Dr. Fredricksons review just showed up in my que and he said he will see you, but he will NOT PRESCRIBE ANY CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES FOR YOU! I was shocked at this response - SO unprofessional! Several times when I called, I explained in detail the 3 medications I was on - 80 mg Prilosc for severe acid reflux (which Ive sense had surgery to correct) Vit. D2, and another one for severe digestive issues. 2 of the 3 cause a trip to the ER if I stop taking. NONE are CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES! The soonest they could get me in was another week and the 8 pages of paperwork required before my appt. arrived the DAY OF MY APPT. Needless to say, I cancelled the appt. after gathering my thoughts of how INSENSITIVE and UNPROFESSIONAL this healthcare facility is and after reading others reviews, its obviously the rule and not the exception. Sad that our healthcare has come to this.

Worst healthcare company ever, do NOT use these people. My insurance covers a free annual checkup, they are trying to charge me $135 because I mentioned to the doctor I had acid reflux, I was in and out in 15 minutes. Worst customer service I have ever experienced, the individuals out of STL and Briarcliff were extremely rude and unprofessional, take your business to anyone else but this company!

Worst experience I have ever had at this office. Came in to see a doctor for a small lump in my stomach that was hurting. I was told I needed an ultrasound which I had done same day. I was told the Dr. would contact me the next day after looking at the results. By 4:30 I had not heard from the office. I called and a staff member at the office told me the doctor said there was No further treatment necessary. I asked what caused the pain and I could not get an answer. I asked if it was a hernia because the ultrasound tech stated she believed it could possibly have been that. The woman said if it was ok with the Dr. then a nurse could contact me the next day. I said ok and then today the same woman called and told me once again there was No further treatment necessary. I asked AGAIN what the final diagnosis was? I stated I would like to know what was wrong in the first place. She said I could setup an appointment to see the Dr. again so I could ask him any questions or I could see a specialist. I stated I only wanted to know what they found! All she could say was that she already described my options. She further stated that I said the ultrasound tech already told me it was a hernia and I explained to her that is not what happened and that the ultrasound tech only said she believed it may have been a hernia. It was like pulling teeth just to try and get someone to tell me what the heck was the cause of the pain! I will never go to this joke of health care facility EVER agiain!

I hate the office ladies. Missed two appointments because I asked to be scheduled with an orthopedic and they scheduled me with my doctor instead. Never mentioned I had to go through my doctor first. And then I made an appointment and then canceled later that day and they never actually canceled the appointment. This company is very greedy and doesnt actually care about the health of people, just the next dollar.

I wanted Dr. Fredrickson to know that, even though we are not allowed to come there anymore (thanks to him), I had open heart surgery in 2003 because of an aortic valve that was not working properly! He did NOT like my reaction when he told me I was out of shape. Yeah, I cried! I had been telling doctors for a long time that something wasnt right! It is NOT normal for me to stay in bed for days at a time. I dont feel that he took me seriously at all! In a couple of days, we got the letter from the office that said NO ONE IN OUR ENTIRE FAMILY WOULD BE ALLOWED TO COME BACK THERE AGAIN! Dr. Fakhoury delivered our children and I love that man! Dr. McCormick was my doctor during my entire childhood (even took my tonsils out IN THE OFFICE). Thats how old I am! I did not know you could ban someones family from your office! Our children are 50, 48 and 42. Of course, I would NOT recomment they come there if that is the way you treat people!

Its very hard to get an appointment at this facility, even if you are a patient. My maximum out of pocket was met this year and they have proof that they sent a refund to me from the last visit yet they said per their office manager they still have to charge the co pay and then refund it.
