Laura & staff made our experience very great. Communication was great, any time we had a question it was answered immediately very professional and friendly and my dad looked asleep not tons of make up or the cold look. We were very pleased. Would recommend.

One of the hardest things to do is bury a loved one and add COVID restrictions and precautions, and its worse! BUT, Laura and Highland Park Funeral Home made my grandmothers transition beautifully seamless. Laura and the staff were available whenever we had questions or sit with us as we processed the loss and funeral planning. The compassion, care, empathy, and professionalism was truly unmatched. The funeral planning was made easy (easier), and my grandmothers funeral was beautiful. When she was laid to rest, she looked as if she was sleeping. This review is certainly not a review anyone ever wants to write, but if you find yourself losing a loved one, Laura and Highland are both great to have in your corner.

Called to get prices on memorial services and check availability. Talked to 3 different people. First person said they availability was open for all days and I could go online n check prices if I wanted but director will call to. Went online. N then Talked to one n she told me a price that was 300$ more then it said online. N I asked her what was the additional amount for she couldnt tell me she had to go online. Then she came back and told me another price that was $800 more then before. At this point I started getting upset. Then another got om phone hollering at me not saying who she is then she quoted me a different price again not even the se price from the lady before! Then I asked did she have the date I wanted available then she told me no, and that she wouldnt have that day of the week open for another 2 weeks. These people need to get it together. BEWARE WHEN PAYING YOUR MONEY WITH THESE PEOPLE ITS SOUNDS LIKE TO ME THEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE IN THEY TIME OF GREAF!

Arrangements were carried out as agreed. Service was just what we wanted. Pricing couldnt have been better. The staff members were very compassionate and allowed me time to work through all the details. Much appreciation for them helping me through this difficult time.

Having to plan a funeral for a loved one is overwhelming in itself. It really makes a difference in where you go. Highland has done a lot of funerals for my relatives and they make you feel at ease with planning details. There is no rush, they will give you all the time you need, and truly care about your wants and needs.Their funeral cost is reasonably priced. You should not have to stress about paying for a funeral nobody can afford.Thank you Highland

Lost my daughter. EVERY little thing i asked of them they did. I made numerous trips up there as i changed my mind on things, and every time they were super kind. The service was beautiful, but i cant say enough about the staff. They are so sweet and professional

A friend used this home to have her daughter’s funeral, and she was over the top impressed with the service provided. Not a business you want to frequent, but grateful there are caring ones around when you need them ❤️

I was so impressed by the kind way in which Jeff led me through some difficult decisions. He gently made suggestions but never tried to Up sell me. In fact, he offered me ways to save money. The entire staff was respectful without being morbid or stuffy - just very professional. There was not a funeral, so there were no flowers but, unexpectedly, there was a pine bough with holly sprigs laid over my husbands shroud. (It was a Green burial). For that kind of service and thoughtfulness alone, Highland Park will always hold a fond place in my heart. Cynthia Cassel

I Had a funeral here for my son in 2017 and although Hope was very nice to us during the arrangements and process. After having a funeral down the street at Larkin and Garcia Funeral Care for my uncle Antonio Portillo in 2018 I realized the huge difference! ALL of larkin and Garcia staff were so gentle and comforting they communicated throughout the entire process and made us feel like family. After experiencing two funeral homes and seeing the differences in everything! The one thing that stuck to me the most is that my son looked nothing like himself while my uncle looked like he was sleeping. And they both passed from natural causes. I wish I could go back in time and use Larkin and Garcia! I wish the last memory of my son would’ve been of him looking like he was just resting and not the image that was left of him that day.It’s been over two years and I barely received my sons death certificate that I paid for in 2017. I had to call Highland park and ask about the death certificates and after a little confusion I was told they had them and I could go pick them up. I was never emailed or contacted in over 2 years to let me know that they had them.

They were very helpful and made the process smooth for us. The only thing that bothers me is the communication on certain things. I’m still waiting on my mom’s death certificate. My until was told 10 business days and I was told 4-6 weeks.

I have genuinely enjoyed every time Ive gone in here. The staff is helpful and considerate, everything is organized, and theres always someone around to help you out. I think the other reviews on here that are so negative are people that dont fully understand how funeral processes work, so they blame the company. Ive never really had any issues here.

I was so displeased aug 30 2019 as I said my goodbyes to my son. I am the mother and was treated as if I was a outsider they seem to go above and beyond for the dad(which they didnt even know if the man was actually the father). my sons book was given to him I only received a copy, his casket spread was loaded into their car (which i paid for even my plants) I never felt so angry before. even the makeup they used was to dark for his skin tone. i spent money just like the next and I shouldve been treated the same

The person that was giving me information couldnt tell me if they performed their own cremations or used a third party. This concerned me that he did not know who would be in charge of my grandmothers remains. Needless to say we went through a funeral home that was a little more expensive but it was worth the peace of mind knowing who was taking care of her every step of the process.

They bate and Switch you with their $1,995 “Full Funeral” Not Recommended .
