My sister and I had our nails done for a wedding. They did an amazing job with gel manicures on each of us. Numerous coats and clear coats to strengthen our nails beneath the color. Guarantee service to fix chips etc for 14 days. All nails still look great at day 18, except one little crack. Very happy with their service and would be a repeat customer if I lived in Kansas City.

We came into KC for the weekend and were welcomed into West Plaza Nails after having many difficulties finding availability around town. The attention to details and quality customer service really made our Girls Weekend more enjoyable.

The people were nice, but they didn’t do a good job. They left previous dip powder on and didn’t file them down enough at all...causing them to be bumpy. They didn’t give me the shape I wanted and my nails are uneven. Some not even the same lengths.

Went in almost 2 weeks ago for a new full set and have been seething about my experience ever since. To begin, she did not soak off my old nails, instead she drilled them off, leaving part of the old acrylic on the nail. I always get the stiletto shape and when I said thats what I wanted I was never told she did not know how to do that. Even though I showed her multiple pictures and explained how to properly shape them, I ended up with a long oval shape. I told her they needed to be pointy and she basically just sharpened the ends of the nails while continuing to round the rest of it. All of my nails are shaped differently and have weirdly different lengths and the acrylic was applied sloppily, so thin that they bend if I apply too much pressure, and not smoothed properly. I had gel polish put on, as I always do, and within a day it started chipping - a problem I have NEVER encountered anywhere else I have gone. To my knowledge, there were no prices posted (I am aware this may be my fault for not asking) but I ended up paying $55 for the WORST nails I have ever had - I usually pay ~$35 for an amazing set. When I left, my fingers literally hurt. Do not go here if you want something out of the norm as far as nail shape and do not go here if you dont want to waste your money. Worst nail job ever.

When I walked in the door I told them I had an appointment for a manicure. The nail technician did not understand what I was saying. She kept saying mani-pedi and I kept saying no I only want a manicure.It was the worst manicure Ive ever had. The Polish is not smooth and looks grainy and bumpy. The nail technician said it was supposed to look like this. the massage on my hands and forearms was very nice. but that was not enough to make me go back there again.

Three weeks ago I came into West Plaza nails for a manicure and pedicure prior to my engagement photos. Not only did they stay open late (on the night of a heavy snowstorm) to be able to get my services done, the gel manicure I got is one of the best I have ever had! As you can see in the picture, my nails have grown out but the manicure still looks perfect! (...even with typing all day, washing dishes, etc.) Anna did such an amazing job! I will definitely be a repeat customer!

Atmosphere needed work, was very busy and had to wait for a scheduled appointment. To their defense they were short two people. I have only been once, which should be noted. Paint job, I got gel, was really great. They guaranteed it for up to 10 or 11 days. Friendly. Good color options.

The manicure with gel polish and pedicure look fabulous, but they dont have their prices posted. When I got to the counter to pay, I was shocked at the total. It was twenty dollars more than I usually pay at my regular salon, but I went there on a weekday while I was running other errands, but as good as the manicure is, the convenience wasnt worth the difference in prices.

Made manicure appointments for 6 ladies as part of a bachelorette weekend. They were able to see all of us at the same time, which saved a lot of time. The owner, Anna, took the time to explain to us what type of manicures would be strongest and would last until wedding weekend, as well as what kinds would be best for our individual nail types. I feel the pricing was fair and comparable to other nail salons. Will definitely be returning for future nail needs!

Ive been to countless salons and this one is by far my favorite. Very friendly staff, CLEAN, and well maintained ♥️ Pedicures and shellac manicures alike! Havent tried dip but they have soooo many colors. Ill try next time

Anna does such a great job, I work in the horticulture industry and my manicure lasts for a few weeks. Im always so happy with my results, and the staff is all friendly and pleasant.My only complaint is that j have never been in and out in less than 2.5 hours.

Ive been here a few times now and neither of my manicures have been done right. They are not good at cleaning up cuticles and my nails were not consistently shaped either time. I guess its okay in a pinch, but I dont recommend this place if you know what you like. The people are perfectly nice and pleasant and the service has been good. I suspect that your experience may depend on who your technician is.

Needed a quick pedicure while I was on the plaza. They were very nice, she did a good job. My 5 year old got her toes painted too and they were very sweet with her. If Im in the area, I would definitely go back.

EVERYONE GO HERE. The extra ten bucks for the gel manicure is so so so worth it, its ridiculous. The last KC nail salon I tried out I left vowing that I would never pay someone to paint my nails again... I left west plaza nails vowing that I would never have anyone but them paint my nails again. And Im really picky. The staff is incredibly welcoming and kind and they care about giving you something you actually like. Knowledgeable too, I never knew so much technique went into it.. they really know what theyre doing. No gel build up at the cuticle that peels up in 3 days. No gel underneath your nail. No thinly painted areas. Honestly the best manicure Ive ever had. AND if they get ruined within 8 days, they fix it free. My other manicures didnt even last 8 day so, yeah. Great place.

This is run like a well oiled machine. I like it that it doesnt matter who does your nails, you get the same result. They have been taught well and this is why they have returning customers that have been with them for years and years. A must stop for nails. The massage at the end is the icing on the cake.

By far the best nail salon I have ever been to. The gel polish will stay on forever... seriously. The only reason I have to go in is because it has grown out so much. They are so friendly, care about your nails as much as you do, and provide a quality service.

I typically get pedicures once per month, but always have trouble finding someone that does a thorough job. Ill pay $30 - $50 for sub par effort and a pedicure I could have done myself.My experiences at West Plaza Nail have consistently been above par. I personally go to Helen and shes meticulous at getting my nails looking perfect. The only con is there is limited parking. Other than that, I would highly recommend West Plaza Nails.

Great experience. The staff very friendly and helpful in finding matching Mani pedi colors. Decent price especially for being so close to the plaza. I dont get my nails done often but if I do I plan to return here.

I have lots of nail salon expectations and this one knocked it out of the park. They took special attention to the shape and condition of my nails. Very thorough. And they give short massage at the end! Coming back again.

Edit#2: I went back and complained about my nails literally falling off. They wiped everything off my nails and explained that the guy did not even use the base coat and that they were very sorry about my inconvenience. They re-did my entire set and they look great! THANKS WEST PLAZA NAILS!EDIT: I just had my nails done here for a 6th time, by someone new who I have not seen before and I think his name is Dan?. It is day three and my nails are chipping, I am going back today to see if they repair my nails after only having them for three days. The nails are not even and have random points that are not filed all across the nail. I am going back today to see if they can repair my nails.. this is ridiculous. I am disappointed.I have had my nails done 4 times here. Each time, my gel nails have lasted at least 4 weeks. I go once a month. The best part about this salon is that they can do gel fills, and it costs 35 instead of 45 every time to get your nails re done. The first set of gel nails is 45, and then each time you need them re done (about every four weeks) its 35. I wash dishes, do laundry, type all day and my nails stay perfectly fine. No chipping, no peeling! Love this place!

Good quality service and quiet environment. One of the best nail salons Ive been too and the first time when I came hygiene was the most important thing to me as I was pregnant and wary of getting some fungus. And this salon having an autoclave to sterilize their tools was a deal breaker for me.

So Im here at this salon now getting a gel pedi. Im pretty upset because I kindly asked the lady for a SOAK OFF because when you peel the polish off (as I saw them doing to other customers) or use a drill it really damages your nail. She acted like she didnt understand what I meant and used the drill anyway. Sure enough there are dents in my toe nails from her using the drill. So Ill never come back. I usually go to Polished downtown but they couldnt fit me in (they actually soak off the gel polish). Very upset right now. This isnt good service. Oh and you still have to pay $50 for them to damage your nail. You choose if you want to go.

Despite the few recent bad reviews I decided to give them a try. A lot of the stuff complained about couldve been prevented if they took the time to look over their site. Always a good idea especially if youre particular about your service. Anyways Im from out of town and needed a place to go to get a fill. This was one of few places open at 9. The guy I had was friendly and I thought he did a great job fixing up my nails, shape and color looks good. Took about 45 mins and pricing was fair. Glad I decided to ignore the negative reviews. If I ever come back to the KC area Id return.

I would give a 0 if I could. I work at the firm across the street. Told her I was on my lunch hour and just needed a color change. I sat down, she removed the polish and filed. Phone rang and she just paused told me to hold on lol. As though she couldn’t decide what was more important, the customer on the phone asking questions or me the customer sitting right in front of her. I got up and left. Went to Posh Nails on Wornall. That’s what I get for attempting to cheat on them in the first place!

I am from NC, so I researched and researched nail salons near the Marriott Plaza where I am staying. I ended up choosing West Plaza Nails based on poor reviews of other salons but mainly this was less than a mile from my hotel. I have gel nails, so they did gel French polish on hands and feet as requested. nails were $45 pedi (they have diff options)I chose $30 for 30 mins. Vivian did both and I was pleased with her service and did not experience the rudeness some have mentioned. I was surprised by the 2min back massage which was a nice added touch to my service. Overall, very pleased. only thing I would suggest is more seating. It was packed when I first got there and I had to stand for a few minutes.

I stopped in without an appointment for a manicure with two friends on a Sunday afternoon. We were all immediately welcomed and seated. My two friends got gel and were extremely happy, one says their gel lasts longer than anyones. I did a traditional manicure and my polish lasted a little longer than my normal 10ish days, however its because they buffed the heck out of my nails. After removing the polish they were thin and a bit damaged (I do have very thick nails). If I were to visit again Id ask that they didnt buff my nails, but other than that and parking being a bit of a pain (duh, plaza) Id say it was a nice place with quick workers who do a nice job.

Horribly rude and uncomfortable experience. I went to West Plaza Nails as a part of a bridal party appointment. As someone who had never gotten their nails done I had questions, but none of the staff was willing to help explain the different options for manicures or pedicures. The woman who did my manicure barely talked to me, and would only talk back and forth with the other members of the staff in a different language. I felt like they were sitting there laughing and mocking all of us, which was so unprofessional. And now, 3 days after my manicure I have a serious infection on one of my finger nailbeds, which is most likely due to unclean tools used on my fingers. I would not recommend West Plaza Nail Salon!!

Love this place! I have never had anything but a stellar pedicure here and they tend to last longer than what I would say is average too. The staff is courteous and professional but friendly as well. Likewise the manicures and acryllic nail services rock as does the aesthetic services (waxing/facials). I also had a neck injury serveral years ago and in addition to seeing a chiropractor, I had several deep tissue massages that were not only relaxing but very beneficial to my recovery. Whatever you need to make you beautiful/handsome or feel relaxed, this spa and salon offers.

Initially when I went in they said they wouldnt be able to get me in till 230. I didnt want to wait an hour and a half so I said thank you anyway and went out to my car. While I was looking for another mail salon near by with decent reviews a man came out and waved me inside. I was very thankful that they were able to get me in. Ben was the man who was doing my nails. At first I just asked for an acrylic full set because gel tends to peel off my nails. He assured me that it would not chip or peel and that it last 2 to 3 weeks. I actually prefer the thin style or a gel manicure to acrylic. When this salon does a gel manicure they do a full acrylic set and then put gel on top of it. I told him I wanted squoval shaped nails. He mad them square. I said I wanted the edges rounded so he went full oval. Not what I asked for but kind of too late at this point. Then I had to further instruct him to file in many different places to make the oval nails he had filed symetrical. Then once he put the acrylic on I had to further instruct him to file the tips of my nails to make the acrylic smooth and uniform instead of bumpy. I love the color I picked and am mostly happy with the way the turned out. Except for the fact that a few of my nails are still a little bumpy, and there is so much glue and power gunked up underneath my nails. Its rather off putting. I paid $60 (50+tip) for a manicure that I have to tweak and fix myself to get the desired results. Probably wont go back. Too expensive for not great work.
