What an excellent effort for Independence Day 2021 for the deserving residents! Staff member, Paula, was instrumental in offering some fun and entertainment. Thank you, Paula, for all that you do (large and small) to be a part of the community! I appreciate you.

I appreciate the staff at Addington, and particularly the CNA, Paula. She has been very helpful with my sister over the past 2 years. Even though she is not back in the Memory Care unit anymore she still checks in. I was able to visit with my sister last week and Paula was there. My sister was happy to see her. It brings comfort to our family to have staff that truly cares for our family. Thank you Paula and the staff in Orchards.

My mom has been a resident at Addington Place for two years. The building is clean and well-maintained, and we like that it is smaller and more intimate than other local facilities. The staff is caring and attentive. Two aides, Paula and Carol, are especially kind and patient. They have a special camaraderie with Mom, and love on her like she was their own mother. Paula and Carol have become like family, and have made a special effort to stay in regular contact with me during the pandemic when quarantining prevented me from visiting Mom. The nurse Tonya is also attentive to Moms needs, and is always available to answer my questions and concerns. I appreciate all of the staff at Addington Place.

My mom has lived at Addington Place for over eight years, and has been content and happy there. I feel secure knowing that she is in friendly, caring hands. The Addington Place team help us to feel safe and comfortable, communicating concerns, especially during this pandemic. (Special shout-outs to Tanya, our angel of mercy on the medical team who has worked tirelessly to help us keep mom healthy and happy, and Rose, their wonderful and caring activities director who takes a personal interest in the residents and works hard to keep everyone included, stimulated, and involved. Thank you all so much for everything you do to help both mom and us!)

My grandma was here and it was a beautiful facility and the staff were very kind.

My parents moved into Addington Place of Shoal Creek about a month ago and have had an awesome experience thus far. The staff really works hard to give the residents lots of activity options while also respecting Covid restrictions to keep everybody safe. I want to give a shout out to Paula who brings a positive vibe to the atmosphere every day.

Good care, they take good care of you, especially my favorite nurse Tonya. She takes time to explain things and shows that you matter. The evening and night staff is awesome.

I did not know what exactly my parents needed and was very overwhelmed with all of the options. Matt really took the time to explain the difference between assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing. Even though Addington Place was not an option for us he made sure that we knew where to go next.

I enjoy living here because of Carol & Paula an other staff ..Carol is a big help to me because she helps me take care of my cat when ever I need her to..😇

Paula greeted me without wait and was able to guide me in the right direction and that was to Tonya the LPN on shift.Both ladies were extremely polite, and so helpful .This place is absolutely beautiful and it’s the first facility I’ve been in that not only looked clean but also smelled clean.I give them 5+ rating because all around experience was excellent.

Great place! Warm and welcoming. Management and staff are committed to making Addington Place a home for residents! They strive to provide activities and interactions that improve quality of life for their residents in both the assisted living and memory care!

Mom has been in there since June. She has dementia and hides her personal items. Staff is really patient with her and finds all of her items. Addington Place is clean and the food is good. She has a great room and plenty of activities that she participates in. Would definitely recommend Addington Place.

Addington Place did a superb job for my Mom. She was a big challenge having lots of health problems but they did a wonderful job. Mom declined and moved to Memory care from the Assisted living . I would visit my Mom on Sundays and after work and the staff would always go the extra mile. Your family is not perfect and neither is any assisted living facility, but I do recommend Addington Place. At the very end Mom needed hospice and I sat several days in her room. I ate the food just like the residence and it was good. Mom was very limited on speech due to small strokes so we were very thankful that they took extra time with her. Staff would update us on what she needed and how she was doing. Lots of good communication going out to and from her son.

Awful company. Only in it for the money. I dont think the manager even knows what hes doing. Staff frequently lounging and not interacting with the residents. Keep searching if you want your loved one truly cared for. Theyve done renovations but whats that saying? Its like putting lipstick on a pig?

My daughters and I love going to hang out with our friends at Addington Place. The community is beautiful and well-maintained, and is always looking for ways to include their residents in activities with the surrounding community - holiday parties, adopting a grandparent through our school, and more. We like to visit our friends in the memory ward and do art activities with them. The residents are always smiling and truly seem to enjoy their home. Staff are always polite and help engage the residents in our activities!!!

Very, very bad overall. I cannot and would not suggest this facility to anyone looking. If you have to drive an hour away to keep your love ones in an assisted facility, do it. It starts with the people at the top and between the overall complacency and lack of accountability for all who are in charge at this location, I am baffled how they got to where they are. Not only should Abram and Jason not be in charge of running the day to day operations of this establishment, they shouldnt have the ability to be door greeters at the Walmart. They hired a career criminal to work here, they provided that employee keys to the facility and failed to get them back prior to firing him. This led to that employee letting himself in one night after the kitchen had closed and he helped himself to a week full of groceries. What else could that employee have done? Is this the first time this has happened? Could he have accessed the rooms? How much harm could this disgruntled employee have done given the ability he had to access the facility at his leisure. Furthermore, they hang their employees out to dry when faced with the consequences of their actions, specifically a 17 year old who secured this as his first job. Terrible to think that grown men shy away from a teaching moment and instead, through their own lack of action and inability to be accountable, throw a young man under the bus to save face. I hope that you will consider other options, this place is NOT worth what you are paying for. Absolutely Terrible.

My mom moved into Addington Place a couple weeks ago. Prior to this, as I searched for a potential memory care environment for her, I was in contact with Patt and Kim. They were helpful, but not pushy as I searched for the best place for my Mom. After research and recommendations from friends, I felt SO was the best place for her. Her transition has gone smoothly this far and the staff has been very helpful and kind. I highly recommend Addington Place of Shoal Creek!

Nice atmosphere - wish there wasnt so much turnover with the staff

I have experience the transition to the new owners. I think theyre trying to show off for the investors. Food , activities and care have all suffered a lot .The constant turnover of employees have left the residents in an awkward situation. The new regional mgr. Says he is working on it . Time will tell. The damage had already been done before he showed up, so it could happen .I have moved mom to another facility and found out just how much she was missing.

Residents do not have enough staff for proper treatment due to the mistreatment of staff resulting in staff only staying tell better employment option

If I could rate no stars I would. The type of respect they have for these residents is so uncalled for. These residents pay anywhere from $4000-$7000 a month. They don’t get changed like they should , the food is horrible is isn’t taken care of I’ve seen the fridge the inside of the fridge. Call lights going off for 60 minutes. They can’t run a business. I was fired Christmas Eve by the manager then two days later she got fired and I couldn’t get my job back. The type of disrespect I have got from them isn’t professional and this place deserves to be shut down. Tammy , Nathan , Alissa all the head people are 2 faced will smile in your face but gossip bad about residents, the employees. I’ve seen certified cnas and rns mistreat the residents, cuss in front of them and steal pills. Don’t ever put your family here unless you want them to die. There was a man who was dead for a hour no one knew then they he no one certified to give him cpr. It’s crazy. Please take my word for all of this.

This place is NOT a place to put your loved one.The residents are NOT treated like they are even people.The staff is lazy and mean.I went to visit my mother, and they do not come in when called.They do not interact with the residents. Their executive director stays hidden in her office everyday. I have since taken my mom out of this place and moved her.
