I Just recently moved here from Florida and needed a new Eye doctor so decided to set up an appointment based on the Google reviews. I was TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY with the entire staff, they were ALL AMAZING !!! Another gentleman commented on the girl at the front desk saying she was rude and there was lack of communication.... I find that hard to believe because she greeted me politely and explained all of my insurance benefits. I think this guy was just confused did not understand what he was being told and was to embarrassed to say so. All and all the whole visit was great and I WILL recommend this facility to everyone I meet.

I went to the Kannapolis location today for the first time and I must say the staff was very nice and meet all my expectations my overall experience was great. Thank you to the Dr. Taylor, Lisa & Kimberly for all your help see you in two weeks when I pick up my glasses.

This office was great from the time I stepped in the door! The lady up front took my temperature, asked me some covid questions and then I was straight back to start my exam..no wait time at all. The testing and exam was thorough and the whole process went smoothly! From walking in, to exam, to picking out my glasses and the ladies also went over all my lens options and made sure I understood exactly what I was getting and why. They also offered an Optomap screening picture so I did not have to get my eyes dilated (I hate dilation). I was impressed!!! I cant wait to return and pick up my new glasses in about 1 week when they come in!!!

Very pleased with my exam at myeyedr in Kannapolis. The office was very clean which made my nerves feel better. I saw several employees cleaning throughout the time I was there. In the glasses dept they have an awesome UV cleaning machine which the employees can place the glasses in for a few minutes and it sanitizes all areas of the frames. I thought that was a GREAT tool to use especially with everyone feeling uneasy due to Covid right now. The ladys were all very nice and helpful. This was a good experience all around.

Great place and a PHENOMENAL staff .... been going here for several years and the service is always TOP NOTCH. Visits are always fast and easy and the manager Kimberly always seems to know what I am looking for before I do and has frames selected for me. She really knows her stuff. I will continue to be a long time patient as long as Kimberly is there taking care of me.

I have been purchasing my glasses here for several years and have always had a great experience. The Dr there was the first eye doctor that I saw after being diagnosed with diabetes and she really took the time to explain things to me that are associated with my diagnosis. After my visits there I always feel as if she truly cares about my health and well being. My family and I will continue to be patients there for this reason. I just wish all physicians were like this.

Two of the three staff members were rude, impatient, and had horrible attitudes when I questioned my coverage with the exclusion of the woman that took my payment. They did not make things clear and lacked proper communication due to their poor attitudes. The experience with the doctor was fine. I won’t be returning due to the poor customer service and I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Found this place by accident as I am newer to the area and was looking for a new eye doctor. They are conveniently located in a building with a dentist and primary care doctors as well. I stopped in one day to check out the office and was greeted promptly and with a smile as soon as I walked in. The young lady was able to make me an appointment in the same week, which usually doesnt happen in most Drs offices. When I went back for my appointment I was greeted warmly again and they got me back to see the doctor with very little wait time. The Dr there is Dr Osbourne and she is GREAT !!!! She really took her time with me and answered all my questions. When we were done she took me up front to start looking at glasses and the ladies that work in the optical are GREAT as well, they made me feel as if i were the only person in there trying on glasses. They were full of opinions and suggestions which made the selection process so much easier. Needless to say the whole staff at this office did a fantastic job and I will most definitely be coming back every year.

I always go to Kannapolis My Eye Dr for my exams and order my year of contacts. They always price match my contacts to get me the best price around plus I get a free pair of sunglasses for ordering my contacts!!! Contacts are even delivered right to my door..Cant beat that!!!!

Not sure where all the RUDE people were in this office that the last person spoke of, but I just recently relocated to the Kannapolis area for work and needed a new eye doctor so I gave this place a shot. Not only was everyone very friendly but they really knew their stuff about fitting my face with glasses and telling me about all the goodies/extras I could add to them. The girls there took time to make sure I was comfortable with my choices and I could not be happier !!!! GREAT JOB MYEYEDR STAFF I most definitely be back !!!

The front desk clerk was rude before I could explain the nature of my visit. Nobody deserves that AT ALL.

I recently had to find a new eye care provider due to my insurance changing and I must say it was a great visit. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile and throughout my whole visit is was very pleasant. The whole staff seemed very knowledgable about my new insurance and took the time to explain it to me. The the girls that work up front were Amazing at helping me select my new glasses and they really made me feel as if I was the only person there. I will be sure to be bringing my whole family back to this office.

I tried My Eye Dr. Kannapolis shortly after giving birth. Had a skin tag on my eyelid asked doctor if there was anything that they could do. She stated it was due to hormones and that I should give it a few months to see if it would go away (due to appearing while pregnant) and call in a few months and front desk would have notes on referral to a specialist to get it removed. Waited a few months due to Covid pandemic. Called back was told I would need to make an appointment to see doctor to reexamine. I informed her I had been in office twice and was assured that a call would sifice, due to doctor making a note. She said she would have to talk to doctor and call back. She called back and said it was not hormonal and that it was a cyst. I asked why the doctor had said it was hormonal when I went in for initial visit. The receptionist said that doctor notes say it is a cyst. She gave me number to the specialist to make appointment. I called specialist was told MyEyeDr needed to call them with referral they then in turn would set up appointment with me. I followed up twice to see if referral came through, they said not yet and will call as soon as they do. At this point has been months and calls since the diagnosis. I switched Optometrist and will NEVER go back to chain. Be VERY cautious if considering My Eye Dr Kannapolis.

I am always welcomed with friendly faces, the eye exam is always thorough...the Dr and drs assistant always answer all my questions and the women up front help me pick stylish glasses every year! I will continue going to this office every year for my eye exam & recommend them to everyone!

So I was sent a survey from myeyedr after my appointment but when I tried to fill it out it kept telling me error so I thought Id share on here.I was a 1st time patient at this office and I was trying contacts for the 1st time. The exam went good. Then I had to do a class to learn to put contacts in my eyes and take them back out. It was easier than I thought I got them in and out on my first try!!! Pretty cool. I am seeing great and love not having to wear my glasses when I am playing sports. The people at this office were nice and helpful showing me about my contacts for the 1st time. I didnt know my insurance didnt pay for all of my contact exam but the woman up front worked with me on that. She let me pay half when I was there and half when I come pick up my contacts. Pretty great dr office.

My family has been going to this location for years. We have always had an exceptional experience with both the Doctors and the office associates. They are very kind, professional, and go above and beyond to help ensure a great experience.

SCAM ALERT:My fianee and and I came here for a routine eye exam and pair of glasses, for him. He called ahead and gave all pertinent insurance information. Was told that his exam deductible would be $30 and that as long as he stayed under $300 on his glasses, he would not owe any additional money (he picked out a $200 pair). This lined up with what his employer had told him about the vision coverage, so he accepted the appointment and went in. We couldnt remember the name, as we got closer (for gos) so I reverse searched the phone number and it gave me a business called southern eyes. He said, that doesnt sound right but there it was on Google with the right address so, 🤷🏻‍♀️. Weird, but we just let it go thinking we were mistaken. Upon later doing some Google research, they are running business under both names and I will be leaving this review under BOTH!Exam happened, glasses picked out, waited about two hours in total only to be told that insurance wouldnt cover the glasses. Strange.Confirmed the $200 pricetag of the glasses and knew that it was well within the allotment for insurance and assumed it was an issue on the businesses side. Asked for just the prescription, so that we could go elsewhere for glasses. Another half hour passes and the blonde lady comes back and says she got the insurance to go through and we were ready to check out. Assuming she had initially just transposed a number, we were happy our long visit was over and stepped up to pay. At which point, she tried to charge us not only our thirty dollar deductible for the exam but the FULL price of the glasses. I said, OH, so you didnt get the insurance to go through?. She answered that yes she had. That the amount we were paying on the glasses was Our deductible. Thats not possible, I say. Thats the full price. So youre trying to tell me that our deductible on these glasses is full price of the glasses?! Her reply was to snort and snark saying, you didnt expect to walk in here and get some glasses for free, did you?!After refusing to pay cash for the glasses, we finally got his Rx after another thirty minute wait and left.Called the insurance company the next day and was told that NOT ONE SINGLE REQUEST HAD COME THROUGH ON HIS INSURANCE FOR ANY GLASSES. They made sure we knew that if it had, there would at least be a flag on their end. And assured us that there had been not a single inquiry.Needless to say, we are furious! BEWARE FOLKS, they ask you to pay for all goods and services and NEVER even attempt to pull from insurance but will LIE, ROB and SCAM saying the monies they claim you owe them are part of your insurance deductible!!!As a despicable people note on this particular blonde lady, while we were waiting our eternity for her attempted robbery, she publicly embarrassed a girl that looked maybe nineteen by shouting that she was going to break the legs off the chair she was sitting in. She looked so humiliated and I was fuming for her.

Was a first time customer there and had a terrible experience. Had a doctor with blonde hair who was checking my eyes but was very rough with the process. I had to pull back from her TWICE because it was starting to physically hurt my eyes. This place also scammed me into paying $40 for a retinal screening instead of getting my eyes dialated. I’ve been to plenty of eye practices and never had to pay anything close to this. The main person at the front desk, with deep red hair and who is very old - is nothing short of rude and pushy. I stressed to her time and time again that I wanted to purchase my eye glasses elsewhere, and she simply was not having it. She was trying to pressure me into buying their outdated glasses by telling me no other provider in my network would pay for my glasses. This is a lie! I will never be back.

I recently went to the Kannapolis office and had my yearly eye exam and I had to get bi-focals. I didnt want to, but in order for me to see up close and far away, it was that time. Dr. Osborne helped me determine this was the best course of action, if I wanted to see clearly. It was the best thing I had done and now, I can see clearly close and far away. I updated my sunglasses with them as well. Dr. Osborne and her staff are the greatest group of people youll find in this area. They are very professional and courteous, as well as very knowledgeable and helpful in determining which pair of glasses looks appropriate to your large head or small head, depending on your genetics. Mine being the former, I was very glad I didnt choose a pair of glasses that were waaayy too small for my face and head. LOL!! Ive read the other reviews of this office and Im not sure who or where the other people are going, but it doesnt sound like the office I visited. So, if youre looking for a good eye doctor, then dont go here, but, if youre looking for an outstanding eye doctor with a wonderful and friendly staff, then this is the place you are looking for!!

I recently switched to MyEyeDoctor in Kannapolis from another practice in the university area and I recently got a request to review the My Eye Doctor office in Kannapolis. I read a lot of reviews and I research EXTENSIVELY on everything I do, and I give credit where credit is due. So after I had been examined by Dr. Osborne, I will refer to her as her name since a lot of snowflakes who gave bad reviews were too inconsiderate to do so, I will note that she was one of the best doctors I have had examine my eyes. She was VERY professional and educated me on the problems I have with my vision. I have to admit, I dont like it when water gets in my eyes in the shower, but Dr. Osborne helped me with my eye-drop phobia(not sure if that is even a thing) but she was able to check my eyes and helped me determine that I needed bi-focals, something that I had swore I wouldnt get until after I was 50. However, Im the owner of a large company and I need to review contracts and various other documents all day, so I need to be able to see everything clearly. She, along with her excellent staff, who by the way, the person that was referred to as being OLD in another review, was actually younger than me and Im going to be 46 this year, were all helpful in choosing a new pair of bi-focal glasses and I even bought a separate pair of sunglasses!! No one pushes me into buying anything, but they were very knowledgeable in helping me choose a pair of glasses that my wife totally LOVES!! So, take it from someone who is blunt and honest with everyone, everyday, if you want a great eye doctor in the Charlotte-Metro area, you need to go to MyEyeDoctor in Kannapolis. Ive been to their competition, and quite frankly, its just not worth the time to visit them when you can go to the Kannapolis office, get in and out on time and be treated like youre one of the family. I dont know what happened to these people that are giving the bad reviews, but I can speculate that someone must have sabotaged their Wheaties that morning for breakfast. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Have a great day!

Our family of 4 have been patients here for 5 to 7 yrs. Recently we show up for a 3:30 pm appt. right at 3:30 pm. Kimberly Redmon (their office manager) asked us to wait until she could get us checked in. 5 minutes later another worker came out to check us in. She said our appointment was actually at 3:20 pm, not 3:30 pm, so we would have to reschedule this appt. This appointment was scheduled in August, because my daughter lives out of town, & this was the only time she was home to get an eye exam. She was VERY rude!!! We all have been coming here for years. Because we were 10 min. late, even though we thought we were on time, you are going to cancel us & then be rude on top? She has no people skills & our family has loved the eye doctors there. Because of a dreadful office manager, 4 accounts just walked out the door. I hate that the senior management has no idea how their offices are being operated. We have since changed eye doctors & have have left My Eye Doctor after years of going there.

I have medicade insurance and they screwed up my glasses perception three times already and they wont make it right so now I have to call my insurancei would not recommend this place at allthey also broke the hibba law too
