Dr. Wu made me feel like he actually cared about what would be best for me, he listens attentively, and when I talked to him about trying to do it without medication he was very supportive. I absolutely recommend him. Its hard to find a doctor who makes you feel like they genuinely care and arent just going to prescribe you junk. Him and his front desk lady are also very nice.

I attempted to refer a client to Dr. Wu in Kaneohe, primarily because this client lives in Windward, Oahu. His office person (a woman) was very unhelpful in determining whether Dr. Wu would accept my clients insurance (Medquest QExA Ohana CCS, if that helps). After four calls (1/3, 15, 21, & 27) to Dr. Wus office, I finally got an answer from his office person this morning -- Dr. Wu is too busy with current patients and backed-up with paperwork to accept this client referral. During this time, his office person always said shed call to follow-up on the referral. She never called back once.I would expect a higher level of service and consideration from an office that sees people dealing with mood and thought disturbances. Glad I didnt task my client with pursuing this referral on their own.Sadly, this sort of disregard is not uncommon among psychiatrists whose practice mainly serves disabled adults on public benefits...I had hopes such was not the case with Dr. Wu.
