The dentist and assistant were wonderful! The facility was very clean and comfortable. They made it VERY easy to complete the intake paperwork. Im giving a low rating because the reception staff was less than welcoming and they did not create a comfortable first impression or experience whilst waiting for my appointment. I also left MULTIPLE voice-mails over the course of 4 weeks before I reached someone and I never received a call back.

Front desk wasn’t very nice. Had to cancel an appointment for an emergency doctor visit for my child and the lady at the front desk rudely informed me she’ll need a $50 deposit to reschedule the next time but let it go this time and rescheduled me for Tuesday ( I cancelled on a Friday morning). I show up for my Tuesday appointment and the woman at the front desk informs me my appointment was made for the next Tuesday. Which would’ve been nice to know or verified over the phone. Won’t go back. Everyone in the back was nice and informative when I had got my teeth cleaned though!

Dr. Van Zant quickly got to bottom of my dental issue. I didnt feel like just a number in a stack of patients. I appreciated his communication style.The staff people I met were very nice. I recommend Summit Dental.

I am writing this on behalf of my son. He was very impressed with this dental office. His dentist was kind and professional. Instead of making him wait two weeks to get his tooth pulled as he saw the pain he was in, he pulled it right then since there were no signs of infection. My son was beyond happy. He did not want to wait two weeks with a bad tooth. I was very pleased with how efficient the entire staff was. They took measures to insure my spinal condition did not cause me excess discomfort. The Dr was very open and direct and most pleasant, not leaving until he answered all my questions. He and the hygienist.had an exceptional manner which right away put you at ease.

The entire team was professional, kind and compassionate. They explained the steps of procedures, prior to performing them. I felt very comfortable and confident with the services provided. I have seen them multiple times and will continue to see them.

Been to numerous dentists over my 73 years and I would honestly say that Summit is about as good as it gets. Modern dental equipment, comfortable office and professional and friendly personnel. There are even big screen tvs hanging from the ceiling. You can watch when your reclined in the chair. And then of course there is Dr. Vanzant. Very professional, friendly and knows what hes doing.

This was my first visit at Summit Dental Group. It was a great experience. Im a little afraid of pain and they made sure I was comfortable throughout my entire procedure and visit. They came up with a great plan of action for my teeth. I loved that they took pictures of the problem areas in my mouth so I can see first hand what they are looking at in there! Absolutely love this place! All of the employees are so friendly. I go in and have some giggles with whoever I’m with that day, they are always chatty and make you feel so comfortable, which really makes a difference in a trip to the dentist! They really place service at the top of their priorities and it shows. I even accidentally scheduled my quick follow up appointment in my calendar on a Monday and they were closed! I went up there and Dr. Vanzant happened to be there so he just quickly ran the test he had planned to do at my appointment so I wouldn’t have to come back the next day! I “shopped” around for a good dental clinic for like 8 years before I finally landed here a couple years ago and I will never leave again!

I really appreciate this dental office. I can be scared about going to the dentist, but with my recent experiences here I have felt more at ease. They are mindful of your fears when you communicate them. It has been a little while since I had the pleasure of going to the dentist before I became a patient of theirs. I had chipped/ broken teeth from a motorcycle accident that were causing pain from sensitivity and I was worried about going but the pain and sharp pieces were bothering me bad. I found this place online, when I called to book an appointment the receptionist was very friendly. When I got there it was an exceptional experience as well. What they have done for my teeth seems like magic. They have repaired smooth edges and feel strong, the sensitivity has tremendously decreased. The teeth I had repaired look like normal you can’t even tell there were breaks and cracks! The appointment to fix them was well worth it. I have been in 3 times now I will be sticking with this dentist here on out. I am sure to recommend to anyone who is looking for a new dentist. Always friendly service. The staff make an effort to know your name and greet you by your preferred name. Everyone is very knowledgeable in their field and makes an effort to explain your treatment in a way that you understand. They genuinely care about your oral health.

Had a lot of work done on one tooth. Was in the chair for an hour and a half. Going to the dentist is one of my least favorite things to do but this dentist is very caring and keeps checking with me to make sure Im alright. I believe he does outstanding work. I would highly recommend him

First visit. Had an infected tooth that, based on Dr. Vanzant’s advice, I had removed. Pain level was in the excruciating zone. Summit was able to get me in (and out) very quickly. New patient registration was done online and it was easy to follow and complete. Super nice people. Clean and efficient operation. Comprehensive explanations as well. I already have a cleaning appt. scheduled for later this month. I would definitely recommend Summit Dental.

I do not like going to the dentist, they just don’t listen to me. I finally found Summit Dental Group and I love them, they listen to my issues and treat me accordingly. It takes a lot to get my mouth numb, most dentists just look at me like I’m an idiot, but not at Summit, they are ready for me when I get there. I still don’t enjoy going to the dentist, but I trust Summit Dental Group and wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else!

Front office seems to be unable to provide an invoice or schedule the next appointment. Good help is hard to find I suppose, but people have a choice when it comes to dental care. That reflects on the whole practice. Best to clean it up. I called to confirm an appointment and was told I had none. What could possess me to put that on my Google Calendar? We purchased a discount policy which was ignored on my last visit. These folks may be sketchy.Updated 2021-02-01 @ 11:46:10 MST by rob@sigmaDr. Vanzant called personally and apologized for the misunderstanding. I explained we are quite pleased with the dental service Summit Dental provides just not the office procedures and scheduling. I suppose I should have asked for a statement in addition to the credit card receipt the last 2 visits. Normally a billing statement comes with the payment receipt.I compared my credit card receipts prior to and after purchasing the discount plan, and we are getting the discounts after all. So I was wrong on that accusation.I am now rescheduled for a check up. Dr. Vanzant did that for me personally. What is important here is Summits efforts to make things right, right away. They did that. The quality of dental care was never in question. I recommend Summit Dental.

I had a veneer on a front tooth pop off while eating on an awesome, but hard, french baguette. I was traveling and more than a thousand miles from my regular dentist. I called Summit Dental and his scheduling assistant, Amy, found a slot for me to see Dr. Vanzant the same morning.The office staff are friendly and efficient. The minute I checked, and before I could be seated, I was ushered in by Heather. The office is modern, and I could see they had all of the cutting-edge tools of a 5-star dental office.A quick examination by Dr. Vanzant and in about 20 minutes I had my full smile back! If I lived here in the Kalispell area, I would absolutely make Summit Dental my home for all dental needs. I highly recommend Dr. Vanzant and his team!

Was a short trip from kalispell but was fairly easy to find. Parking was no hassle and I was immediately helped upon entering. I really appreciated the personability of both the Hygienist and the Doctor and felt very welcomed.

My wife and I just received a bill from summit dental 2 years and 2 months after our last visit, which the Doctor and the receptionist at the time told us was “paid-in-full” prior to leaving the office. The new receptionist was rude and even hung up on my Blue Cross insurance agent when my agent was discussing the bill and inquiring about discrepancies told by the receptionist. We were promised a call back from the Dentist after the receptionist told us that she could not help and I have received no call. I have even called and left messages which were not returned. Very disappointed with the unprofessional behavior of the receptionist and the lack of communication from the Doctor. In the last invoice the receptionist accused either my Blue Cross agent or myself of “verbal abuse”. The entire conversation was on a recorded line and the Blue Cross agent found discrepancies in what the receptionist was telling us and when inquiring further, she hung up on us. Judging by the other google reviews, it appears as if others are having issues with the receptionist as well, not necessarily the Doctor or his work. I would really appreciate if he would call me back to rectify this situation.

Eric Hill did an awesome job have not been to a dentist in about 8 years he made the experience great i will defiantly be going back there for all my teeth needs!

We went here two years ago for a cleaning, and the dentist noticed I had a filling that was chipped. We declined and said we weren’t sure what the insurance covered, but since we were waiting, they called our insurance and checked to see what was covered and they said that there would be zero out of pocket to fix the filling, etc.Fast forward two years ago, we’ve already moved to a different city, and they’re now billing us for what we agreed was supposed to already have been over and done with.We’ve called and checked to see what is going on, and all they’ve got to say is that their system updated and we owe $x amount. One of the times we called, they said the dentist would call us back, they never did. Called again today after a letter of agreement has been sent and no answer.WHO SENDS A BILL TWO YEARS LATER AND DOESNT ANSWER THEIR PHONE? This place. Don’t bother going here unless you want surprise bills years later.PS If you’ve ever dealt with this problem, your insurance lets you know that you can report this to the board.

They took better care of me in the last few days I have been with them than the previous dentist I had been seeing for eighteen years. They are amazing and I highly recommend this office!

I chipped a top front tooth and looked a tad rough. Luckily, my insurance covered its repair. Dr. Mark Vanzant is friendly, efficient and precise. He had my tooth chip filled and perfected in about 20 minutes, and it was painless. His hygienists Heather and Eric are very friendly also. I honestly love this place! They feel a little like family. I had gone to another dentist in town previously, and the difference in quality of care is night and day. I highly recommend Dr. Vanzant and his team!

If I could give negative stars I would! Horrible customer service, the dental assistant was so rude and condescending to my face that she was no longer allowed to serve me. I went in to get teeth fixed/pulled and set up for partials. Firstly they pulled all the teeth and let me sit with no back teeth and missing front teeth for months until I begged for them to push me through because I was loosing weight and becoming malnourished being unable to eat properly...then they finally set me up with temporary partials that DID NOT FIT and charged as permanent on my insurance. Big hastle to get that fixed. It took 9 months to get my actual permanent partials from the time they initially started and when I finally got them they DIDNT FIT ...so I went in to get them adjusted and they proceed to tell me they cant fix it, wont fix it, and to return the partials immediately and they would refund my insurance and to go elsewhere.!!!!!!! Took my teeth, refused to fix them and wont do any more work....would NEVER EVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE...

I found Dr. Vanzant and his assistant Heather caring and compassionate as well as highly skilled. I had a painful toothache Saturday and my regular dentist could not see me until Monday. I called a friend who recommended Dr. Vanzant. I called him and he met me at his office shortly after my call. After an exam and x-ray he recommended an extraction of my tooth. However, at my request, he was willing and able to schedule an endodontist appointment for me early Monday morning.That night it became very clear to me that my tooth needed to be extracted ASAP. The following day which was Sunday, Dr. Vanzant kindly made the time to come back into his office to see me once again. The process of extraction went quickly, was painless, and brought me great relief! I am so thankful for Dr. Vanzant’s skill, compassion, his understanding and his willingness to help in my time of need.

I went through summit dental all winter. They pulled 5 teeth including 3 molars and 2 wisdom teeth. I got them all done in under a 2 month period. I am pregnant so I had to double up on vests for x-rays and I got the cleaning done.My insurance was supposed to cover 2 crowns a year and when I went in for my last appointment, they told me they tried to call me to tell me my insurance hasn’t kicked in yet for them and they will check later so they cancelled my appointment. I showed them my call log that I never received a call.. hence, why I was there.I had a checkup scheduled for today and the dental assistant called me 45 minutes before my appointment to remind me. I let her know I was just about to call in to see if I could reschedule since I’m 8 months pregnant and not feeling well. She told me if I reschedule, she would not be able to schedule me again for 6 months. When I asked why, she told me I had too many broken appointments. Ha! I had not missed ONE! Hence how I got all those teeth out and cleaning done in that short amount of time. The assistant told me she doesn’t even usually do the phone calls but she tried to call me last time when I went in and THEY cancelled so I continued to tell her I showed my call log when I still went to the appointment. She kept arguing with me and I told her about how I also called 2 weeks ago and left them a message to check my insurance to see if I could get in for the crown fitting and never received a call back then, either. Very unprofessional and they take a reschedule very personal apparently.Also, when I got my wisdom teeth out, I spoke with the dentist and told him I couldn’t have pain pills since I’m pregnant. He said he’d give me ibuprofen 800’s instead. I go to the front and he had a written prescription for the pain pills so he’d already forgot. We got it changed. I went and filled the ibuprofen but had a feeling to call my high risk pregnancy dr. To make sure I could take that. They said no and that it messes with female egg count in the baby so I didn’t take them.The dentist called me to check how I was doing and I told him about it and said I could only take Tylenol in small doses. When I went in for my next appointment, he gave me a spill about how everything that I put in my body goes to the baby. As if it was his idea after I told him all of that.This place is a joke. They were so quick to get me in and get everything pulled for quick money and then didn’t seem to care about the crowns or returning my call. They blame and argue and don’t take any accountability.In response to your reply and as you just proved my point of blaming, arguing and not taking any accountability:I did not “no show” once.I spoke with her 45 minutes before my appointment. I told her I wasn’t feeling well so I needed to reschedule. First time EVER asking that. She told me it would be 6 months out like a threat if I didn’t make it. She accused me of missing appointments before and my husband is witness to how I have never.Yes, as I hung up I cursed to my husband who was listening to her argue with me as he was getting frustrated listening to her treat me like that and wanted to take the phone from me to speak to her. I did not directly curse her out. I told him I wasn’t going to $@/ argue her.My husband watched me go to appointment after appointment getting all of this work done so close together and not missing a beat to get it done.I also called back and asked to have the dentist (you) call me back and left my number as your assistant was not being logical. No returned phone call. This was all BEFORE my appointment so it is not a no call no show....You did, however call me one time a few months ago to check on me after you broke my wisdom tooth pulling it and left a piece in there for the skin to cover. Guess I can get a call then, huh.

I love this clinic!! Dr Vanzant is awesome. The staff is so nice. The office is BEAUTIFUL, (the waiting room is awesome). They are very accommodating to my disabilities. 🙌Today I had my first laser filling and it was really cool!I recommend Dr. Vanzant and his staff to EVERYONE I know. My daughter is also a patient and is very happy here. If you know anything about dentistry you will be very impressed with all the high tech!!!

Dr. Vanzant and staff will do anything they can to help. They really care and give you options and honest opinions. They truly want you as a lifetime patient not just for one visit.

Im surprised not to see 5 stars from everyone here. As I look at the couple reviews that werent happy it seems like it deals with scheduling. All I can do is talk about my experience. I was told ahead of time about their cancellation policy. 48hrs notice is what was asked by them. Also I received an email and phone call reminding me of my appointment and to arrive 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork. To me they seem to be very communicative. My experience with Dr. Vanzant was a good one. He was kind, informative and HONEST about my options. I just want to add Summit Dental Group is one of the FEW places that takes Medicaid. If you are going to cancel it better be an emergency because the wait list is long. Just like me. I had to wait my turn and I had an hour drive to boot. I will gladly and gratefully be seeing Dr. Vanzant as my dentist.

I did not have as positive an experience as the other reviewers here. I had two concerns when I went in today, and I felt like neither was addressed properly. My hygienist was very helpful and kind. But I felt like the dentist who saw me did not treat me with very much empathy or care. He did not ask me for my name or what my concerns were, only speaking to the hygienist about my visit, and I felt as though he gave me the bare minimum of information when I did ask. I felt uncomfortable and not very well listened-to. On my way out I was supposed to get a prescription sent to a local pharmacy but was given no information and did not get a call back this afternoon regarding that. Overall a negative experience and I do not think I will return to this office.

I recently got my teeth whitened at Summit Dental Group, and had a really great experience. While the process is (of course) uncomfortable, the technician, Heather, that worked on my teeth was gentle, and fun to talk to! Will be using Dr. Vanzant for future cleanings!
