Customers since 2013. Absolutely done. PF was charging us when our memberships on hold without informing me or my husband. We just found out. They tried to tell us about the 3 months policy when in the last two years TWICE we have our memberships on hold for 6 months. They didn’t work with us. My bank was called and PF was reported. Be careful.. There is reason why they don’t send receipts by email to inform you about your monthly charges. FRAUD

LOWER THE FAN SPEED ESPECIALLY THE ONE NEXT TO THE DUMBBELLS, PLEASE. Also some back machines needs attention they wobble on the chest support and the smith machines are all not put correctly straight to the mirrors and it makes adjusting the body on them so hard.

Needs to be cleaned woman and mens lockers and the treadmills needs to be replaced. They are outdated and wore down. Also should make sure people are cleaning after use.

Great gym for people just starting off. Was the first gym I have went to after a severe car accident and have left for something a little more advanced but I enjoyed some times here. Chris in the front desk is hands down one of the best and chillest workers I’ve seen and I’m grateful for my time here

If you’re trying to watch people sit at a rack for 40 mins on their phone and not get up this is your place, it’s super frustrating not being able to use equipment because people have no gym etiquette

Good experience here this is the gym that I started out at when I came to Kalamazoo and so far all the employees here theyre pretty cool and they dont they know about getting a little things here and there pretty linear towards some small things great experience so far everybody pretty much friendly here.

One star rating because mens shower area is nasty, shower curtains have mold on them. This is troubling times and this area should be clean at all times. I pay for black card access but I cant take a shower in fear Ill catch something...

They do a great job of keeping the actual gym clean, and making sure masks are on people properly. HOWEVER, the woman’s bathroom is always disgusting. The toilets are always full of toilet paper or poop, sometimes both. This should be checked and cleaned every hour.

I’ve had a membership here for a while. I recently moved away 8 hours. There is no planet fitness here so I’m trying to cancel my subscription and I CAN’T! unless I either (1) walk back in and talk to the front desk, or (2) WRITE A LETTER??? Who writes letters these days!? I’m so done with planet fitness!!!

I just joined and i have been 3x its a nice laid-back environment.

Not to be that person but out of all the planet fitness gyms I’ve been to in the Midwest this is the grossest dirtiest one I’ve been too. I felt like I need to bathe in bleach after being here. Just gross I didn’t even enjoy my workout so cluttered and yuck just yuck.

I only had my membership for about 20 hours, came in to workout and asked about the mask rules. A staff member decided that was a good opportunity to be demeaning and insulting, then confidently tell me to go work out somewhere else if I cant take it. There was another staff member who watched and supported this. All while I was properly wearing a mask. Never felt so humiliated for wanting to know the rules.

Friendly environment, everyone minds their own business and seems very friendly. Exclusive membership isnt ridiculously expensive and the gym is open 24/7.

The people are very non judgemental and I feel free and cared for here. This is my safe space even when I feel awkward at first.

Really crowded at peak hours, but it gets the job done! I get a little weirded out when they are cleaning the treadmill that I am literally running on but other than that I have not had any issues. Everything is super clean which I guess it should be with how often they are cleaning! Can’t beat the price.

Awful. I travel all over the U.S. for work and go to a different PF almost everyday. and this is the only PF where the staff were such bullies about masks. If this was my home gym I definitely wouldnt waste my money. at least if you work out at home you dont have to get bullied by staff members or wait on the highschool kids to get off their phones on the equipment.

First time there. Place is huge and quite clean. Very reasonable only $10 a month. Everybody was wearing Mass while there were working out with social distancing per state mandate.

Terrible service, have sent multiple requests to cancel membership with this facility since the beginning of the pandemic and they KEEP BILLING ME after I have requested a cancellation several times. They are DEMANDING I come in in person during a PANDEMIC even though there are members of my family with compromised immune systems so this is unsafe for me to do. Im tired of basically donating money to this business for terrible practices. during a pandemic they NEED to make cancellations much more accessible for people like me rather than DEMANDING we risk the lives of ourselves and families to cancel a gym membership. 10/10 would NEVER recommend.They very clearly do not take the safety of their members or their families seriously. Sure I can write a letter but they still wont refund the MONTHS of charges Ive been receiving since my initial request in JANUARY 2020 and theyll bill me after Ive sent it or claim they havent gotten it because USPS is a tragedy right now. Ive already mailed one and yet here we still are!

I have been to this planet fitness a number of times, and it just doesn’t match up with other planet fitness is. It’s always very crowded and hasn’t been updated in a while. There’s probably better gyms to go to in the Kalamazoo area for a reasonable price.

I have been a member for years and I like the staff here are professional and nice, it’s very clean, machines always available and clean.

This is one of the smaller facilities the one in Portage is a little bigger but the ones on Indiana are very spacious.

Theyre doing a good job with covid precautions. They also have rowing machines at this location 👍🏼 not all do.Their showers are cleaner than the Portage locations showers.

The staff in the morning is great and super friendly. Super friendly and caring trainer as well. Love the new equipment that was recently updated. Only down fall is some guests just dont put there stuff back and on occasion the third shift doesnt refill the paper towel. Over all a great place to start my day.

Great place to work out you just have to time it so there arent a lot people there otherwise you end up with people sitting on machines doing nothing or playing on their phones. Ill go to get hit up a Smith Machine and find bros just sitting on one talking or joking and I just want to work out, tan and go home. Hard to do that without open machines. Also, most of the equipment maxes out at around 150 for biceps, 300 for a bench and 200 for butterfly. Why the low weight?

Was here for only 2 days and my bags were gone through as if I were a thief which I did not like. I was accused of being suspicious because I apparently sat in front of my locker for about 10 minutes so Im not sure what caused suspicion but the way I was treated was unacceptable. I worked out , my membership is paid for and I dont bother anyone I just go to work out. Very disrespectful and unprofessional the way I was treated today. I was excited to get my membership but that ruined my experience. My bags were checked when I went to my car but they were the same exact bags I came in with. I felt like I was accused of being a theif and all I did was sit by my locker while I checked my phone for like 10 minutes before I continued working out. I dont understand why my bags were looked at anyway unless there was proof Id actually steal something which I didnt I felt harassed at the front counter like what did I do besides check my phone in the locker room ? What reason was there for my bag to be taken and gone through without permission exactly and in the end of course I didnt do anything but check my phone? Even the other worker knew I was there the previous day with the same bags and he didnt even say anything I felt harassed and disrespected. Very unprofessional.

Only downfall is no free weights. It is a great place to start lifting and work your way up to a new gym. So far I have had awesome results from going to Planet Fitness. The cost for a membership is very reasonable.

Dis be that place to put in that work on the strength i stay posted. They need to put the tvs with news on em behind the treadmills so i can run away from that goon trump and when i look over ma shoulder and see his gremlin looking face i get an extra boost and turn the treadmill up to 10 ya i dig it

Great staff. Plenty of equipment. Clean. All ages and abilities are made to feel right at home. If tons of free weights are your thing, there are plenty of other options. For the other 98% of us, the Kazoo PF is terrific. Highly recommend.

The gym itself is not bad at all, though it is kinda dirty at times. The part that bothers me the most is the amount of people there. Theres always tonsss, even if you go super early or last thing before bed. Definitely dont go when the after work rush hits or there wont be any machines open. If the people part doesnt bother you then youll love this place. Overall not bad

Tons of machines. Mostly wonderful employees. Chelsea is great. And the old man that works at night is sweat heart. Ive never heard him raise his voice ever. And I work out late mostly.

Great size/space, variety of exercises equipments! The hydro massage bed and chair have had issues every time I’ve gone. Staff try to help. Miscommunication with exercise classes. 5/5 for basic card membership. 3/5 for black card membership.

Its always clean. I really like planet fitness for the circuit training, its simple, built in, and well designed. The gym in general is really not all that fancy, but its reliable, functional, and clean. Its all you really need.

I joined a week ago, since then the staff has really helped me (I am very new to working out) and the trainer Devon is very nice, knowledgeable and encouraging. I love it here so far!

Great gym for your money! Some staff arent very friendly but theres others who really make you feel welcome. Machines are always clean. The only thing I can complain about is the guests talking on their cell phones and hogging machines. But thats not really planet fitness fault.

Great place to workout. Staff are always friendly and helpful. I just moved back to Kzoo from Santa Fe. I am WMU alumni. PF on stadium dr has rowing machines, that I like. There’s always a machine available.

Overall its good, it does get annoying when its busy and people are just sitting on their phone not using the machine, it would be nice if the staff did something about that. But other than that its a great gymm

Nothing special as virtually all PFs are identical. Plenty of machines and areas to work out. Very nice atmosphere as the clientele ranges all ages; from standard college-age folks to an older crowd. Its great to see a large range of people striving to be healthy and active.

Nice place to workout early in the am or late at night when its not so busy. Lots of treadmills, bikes, and other machines for legs, arms, and abs. The massage chair, tanning, and other perks that come with the Black Card are worth it.

Its convenient but the rules are getting ridiculous. You lifting weights and you cant grunt? Its not like youre yellin in the gym or anything.

Night manager (old man) I wouldnt go there If he is working. Some one drop their dumbbells and he thought it was me. He insulted me by screaming at me on top of his lungs. When I asked him why are he screaming he got out from his seat to fight me. He made huge scene there it was really embarrassing. I told him it wasnt me!He just ruined my day! Hope they fire him soon!

Clean, plenty of equipment including cardio, circuit and free weights. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I travel a great deal for work and have the type of membership that allows me access to all the clubs. This one is as nice and well equipped as any in the chain.

I try to be very respectful of the rules at Planet Fitness. I do not grunt and I do not drop weights. Today, I was approached by a staff member that said she could hear me setting my weights down from the front counter. Again... she said she heard me setting my weights down... not dropping them. The people around me looked very confused as the staff member demonstrated how to set down weights quietly. I do not feel comfortable working out in a facility that is watching me, looking for a reason to approach me and single me out.

Its a gym. It has treadmills and weights. Dont know about the other reviewers saying there are no benches or free weights.... Theres like 5 squat racks, with benches, and more free weights than I know what to do with.
