Best acupuncture I’ve ever had! Very caring, relaxing and healing atmosphere. I’m really looking forward to going back now that I’ve had my covid vaccine.

I have been going to Olanani AcuOasis for a couple of weeks now, Tai has been helping me with several issues (infertility, chronic pain, settling my thyroid after a med change, helping my digestive system , and just centering me and relieving stress) and through all this I have gotten to try cupping, acupuncture, and acupuncture with electrical stimulation . I have felt a huge shift in me and so many parts of me are working like they are suppose to and its such a new experience to feel almost normal . I highly recommend Olanani to anyone looking to try acupuncture, they really seem like they what to help you and have you feeling your best.

I see Tai at Olanani. She was recommended by friends from DC who had heard about her (yep, went around the planet to find her.) After numerous blood tests, MRIs, CT scans, echocardiograms, and every other test known to mankind, doctors could not figure what was wrong with me. I had dropped 19 lbs in 45 days, was twitching, numbness in limbs, insomnia, brain fog, extreme exhaustion, body aches, and a number of other weird symptoms. The umbrella diagnosis was post-infectious syndrome, and doctors said it would take 16-18 months to get better. Six months later, I am happy to report that Tai is a healer, and I am almost 100% better ( I might have been all better if I went more often, but i travel and it is not always easy to find the time). Tai examines me every time i go, checks on my progress and symptoms, and addressses that which ails me most in a given interval. Price is more than reasonable. First i saw her weekly, now i am more in a maintenance/tune up mode. The place itself is a serene space, clean and soothing, and Tai ensures i am always comfortable. I get a little panicky at the thought of having to find another practitioner when we move to mainland this summer, because I trust Tai entirely. I also had back surgery years ago and my muscles seized one day. Tai found exactly the bundle that was acting up and got it to relax with a combination of acupuncture and massage. I would love to get a massage there, maybe when i am comfortable spacing the acupuncture sessions more. Separately, and if you were not sure about acupuncture, google the newly discovered interstitium (Scientific American, NPR...) and its relevance to the san jiao meridian, which has been described in tcm for hundreds of years. Western medicine catching on. Long review, i know, but highly recommend, i am weary of yelp (i read all sorts of things on how they prey on small businesses) but logged in just to leave this review. Be kind to yourself, go see Tai.
