BTT/Jupiter Self Defense is the best academy in Palm Beach County for BJJ and Self Defense. Professor Gabriel is a world class instructor and a world class competitor. Professor Guy is equally world class in his degree of knowledge, instruction and decades of study. The academy has many high level competitors and classes all throughout the day from 7 AM to 8:30 PM. Large number of black and brown belts. Great place for kids to learn the sport and for women to learn self defense as well. No egos and great people to train with. Jupiter Self Defense is one of the best things to happen to my family in recent memory. Its state of the art facility allows beginners and advanced students to train and learn in the safest environment possible. I would rate Dr Guy Scuderi’s passion for teaching and expertise in Jiu Jitsu higher than 5 stars, but it doesn’t seem to let me. My 12 year old loves taking classes and doesn’t even realize he is learning self defense skills and becoming more confident. He just likes rolling with his friends. I found out your never too old to try something new and have been training with Dr. Guy as well. The variety of classes works great with any schedule. I would highly recommend Jupiter Self Defense to anyone who wants to have fun learning Jiu Jitsu.

Jiu Jitsu is challenging, but the instructors and senior students make absolutely certain that you learn at your own pace. Starting Jiu Jitsu can be intimidating. I was uneasy when I started. Been training jiu jitsu in the area for 15 years. Dr. Guy is hands down the most technical teacher for self defense jiu jitsu within 50 miles. I switched to his tutelage as a brown belt and my skills have soared. I know most of the teachers in the area. They are all fantastic for sport based jiu jitsu. But if you want to become harder to kill, and learn the necessary skills to survive a street fight where there are no rules, no time limits, and no referees to stop the fight... then there is no better place in the area to train.

The gym is very clean and state of the art. I was impressed by the technical focus the instructor emphasises at this location. The art of ju jitsu is about technique over strength, and I appreciate a school that can equip students to be ready with the tools to defend themselves in a spar or a street fight.

My son (10) and I have family near here and decided to join for a week on a trip to florida. We dont live here but love self defense jiu jitsu and I found this on google searching around. I messaged the sensei on his website and he very quickly called me back. He explained about his school. I went in to check out the classes. Everyone was very welcoming and nice to me. Dr Guy (the head Sensei) was very clear with us before drilling and sparring to go easy on each other so no one would get hurt.My son went to the kids class the same night. He loved it so much. I was very impressed with the kids class even more than the adults class. Dr. Guy has his daughters and wife helping him at the dojo. It is very family oriented, and his wife signed me up for one week. I would have done more but we are only here one week more.This is the self defense style jiu jitsu, very old school Helio Gracie Style with weapons defense too.Very pleased to find this gem in Florida.One more thing. It isnt really a tournament school and the techniques are not described with this gets so many points, and this gets this many points. But if you are looking for more self defense, this is the place for you.

My grandchildren attend JUMP - Valente Brothers Jiu Jitsu in Jupiter, Palm Beach County. They teach Classic Helio Gracie Self Defense Jiu Jitsu, as it was intended to be taught. The instruction at JUMP is EXCEPTIONAL and the camaraderie in this school isnt seen any where else. I highly recommend JUMPs children and adult programs. You wont find this quality anywhere else !
