Great gear and staff. Prices are reasonable and they have a pretty good selection for the key things you need. I respect that they require masks and ask people to sanitize their hands before browsing and touching everything.

Masks NOT mandatory, per the CDC & City guidelines unless youre in THIS shop. We did not come off a cruise ship.We both needed base layers, rain gear, gloves etc. for a fishing trip this week. The shop employed lied to us saying that masks are mandatory.Even after informing them were ready to spend hundred$ on gear, they demanded we wear masks or to leave. We spent nearly $1,400 on gear at the shop nearby, where they followed actual CDC guidelines and arent attempting to DICTATE free will.Perhaps Ive discovered why some businesses are failing, theyre doing it to themselves 🤦‍♂️.Good luck Foggy Mountain.

High quality outdoor gear, nice local shop, and friendly staff. I love that I can get Outdoor Research gear and Nalgene water bottles. If you want quality stuff, come check them out.

Nice gear but pretty annoying to have to wear a mask when vaccinated in spite of federal, state and local guidance that suggests otherwise.

My grandpa told me to go here before his untimely passing. I carried on his will to find a charming little shop here, but even with the fond nostalgia associated with it, I cant help but give it 3 stars because of the lack of atmosphere. There was ZERO fog in the shop, and the mountain aura was not nearly as present as you might expect. I dont know about the other patrons, but to truly enjoy my dining experience, theres gotta be atmosphere that matches the food. Since I mentioned the food, it tasted quite good. The ski gloves are my personal favorite, but the skis themselves also have a nice crunch. 3 stars would revisit.

Ive been to a lot of shops in my time on this green earth. I can say, for certain, that this aint it, chief. The bathroom had hardly any privacy; it was nearly out in the open but for the display coats surrounding the toilet. Although I do take interest in the foreign toilets that use carpet to filter the urine a bit, I missed out on the plink-plop sound that I usually hear when using them; the sound coming from the chamber below. I also appreciate the care for the environment through use of reusable toilet paper gloves, but I wish they were just a bit more absorbent. I also wish there was a sink, but the long sanitation towels did just fine. I only prefer sinks. 2 stars, would come again if I had to, but wouldnt by choice.

Fantastic boutique selection with excellent staff, anything they dont have on hand is readily available for special order. They regularly rotate their items in line with the seasons and seem to stay on the edge of the latest trends.

The best thing about Foggy is excellent owners/staff in a locally owned store, theyve got customer service nailed. Its a small retail store in downtown with selection to match the floor space. Foggy retails high end gear and is a good shop for ski tuning.

I came in looking for fabric treatment for my jacket. Before I could look around I was asked if I needed help. I was taken directly to what I wanted and the salesperson explained everything in the treatment of my jacket. I then looked around for a little longer and another salesperson noticed I was looking at goretex hats and offered some good advice. Prices were more than fair for Juneau for the quality of merchandise they sell. Knowledgeable and friendly. I will return.

A pretty nice little adventure shop. They do have sale racks, but you have to ask for them and theyll lead you into the back room where they are. They should have those front and center in my opinion, Im not about to pay MSRP on Patagonia!

Good, because they carry great brands and have a good selection.Bad, because they charge retail for everything. Even outdated items, out of season. Make sure to comparison shope before buying here.
