My stay in the hospital for psych was a mixed bag -deaf nurses mixed w great ones and a good pa who gave me my meds -was cleaner than my time I’m 2016 , if you tell me I can have something but nobody will do anything to get it why tell me at all? Once nurse was I feel prejudiced lots of micro aggressions. Worst and best I got my meds I need for home put up but nobody gave them back but thank god for a kind receptionist who’s bringing them to me today I have no way to run back to collect my meds she’s coming to give them to me - nobody that takes messages on the ward will tell anyone what you wabt the last gal assumed I was Melissa whoever that is , I just feel the burned out nurses should get to do like nursery care or switched out w another type of nurse when they need a break - I’m 50 and in 30 years of going for help once I’m awhile nothing has changed except meds in how a hospital treats it’s staff or patients

The worst mental health services Ive ever received. The nurses dont give a darn about anyone. If you care about yourself or your loved one, take them literally anywhere else. Go to Norton or Wellstone instead.

***PLEASE READ BEFORE PSYCH UNIT STAY***First, DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT bring any items to your loved one that you have any hope of seeing again. The nurses gleefully divvy up and steal any items they deem not allowed for your loved one to have during their stay. The funny thing is, they are quick to turn away candy and other snacks you bring quite immediately, while they state ‘we’ll have to go through the personal items later and see what they’re allowed to have.’ Those items may or may not be returned, and if you have anything that is easy to steal you might as well kiss it goodbye. Among the items my loved one lost include a Morroccin Oil expensive hairspray and get this- a bottle of sprayable deodorant. What nasty nurse takes a deodorant? Anyhow, long story short... well you get the picture. Sad facts for an otherwise decent stay for my loved one.

After talking to 10+ people no one could tell me any useful information on how to find out if my loved one’s status or confirm that he was there still. I kept getting asked questions that would that wouldn’t help the process.Example:“What is his name?”“His name is ______________.”Which was followed by, “Sorry, I can’t tell you anything about patients; you have to talk to them directly.”What happens if they are unable to talk, or worse? I understand we live in a time where critical thinkers are a rarity, but that’s where a solid process should be in place and take over and guide employees to helping potential patrons of your business. I will not be back and would not recommend this hospital to anyone.

The nurses here are disgusting, after i visited my husband, he calls me to tell me his nurse started calling me names and that i’m mean. Absolutely ridiculous that these pompous nasty women get to work taking care of ill people, especially mentally ill.. when they have absolutely no compassion or love towards anyone, and treat them as if they were cockroaches. I’ll make sure to have her fired for stepping over the line! If you care about your family member/so, do NOT TAKE THEM HERE!

If there was a way to give negative stars I would. The ER of this hospital is absolutely ridiculous. My wife went into the ER on a Saturday afternoon with chest pain, shortness of breath & nausea The triage nurse was absolutely the rudest person we have ever came in contact with. Once they got her back into a room she laid there in pain for over an hour before her nurse came in & that was only after we had to use the call button to get her into the room. Even then she still was not given anything for pain. The nurse began to argue with my wife & me. Finally the Dr came in & ordered her a pain medicine right away. The Dr came back in after all the testing was completed & said there wasnt anything wrong & sent my wife home. The very next day, Mothers Day she began having the same symptoms again, so this time we took her to Floyd & she was admitted for 3 days. Today my wife went to her general practitioner with worsening symptoms, swollen legs, ankles & feet so bad that she could barely walk from the pain. Her general practitioner diagnosed her with congestive heart failure. She wanted to send her to Clark ER, then my wife explained what happened the last time she was there. Her doctor called & spoke with the triage nurse about what what was going on with my wife & the congestive heart failure & that she required IV diuretics. My wife arrived at Clark, & explained to Dr. McKnight the whole situation & he assured her that she would not be shoved out the door again. That is exactly what he did. He did not even assess the major swelling in her lower extremities. He ordered only a chest xray, no blood work or any other testing. He did not address my wifes pain at all. He came in to tell her that she had no fluid in her lungs &Youre good and walked away. Her nurse came in & very roughly began ripping the ekg & heart monitor pads off her. My wife asked her to stop, but the nurse kept trying to pull her gown up & said Im just trying to get these off of you. My wife had to yell at her to stop touching her. Her nurse then stated I dont understand why you are so unhappy with your results. My wife asked if Dr. McKnight even consulted with her general practitioner. The nurses response was He is a doctor, he is perfectly capable of making a diagnosis & does not need to consult with a nurse practitioner on how to treat his patients. Needless to say my wife was in tears. Clark provides the absolute WORST service of any hospital weve been too. My wife called & left messages for the director of the ER & also the administrative assistant. We will not be returning to that ER for any reason whatsoever.

Worst hospital you can go to. They do not know what they are doing. If you are able to tell your driver where to take you, tell them to take you to Floyd hospital in new Albany. Go there and you wont die from something as simple as the flu

Trashy hospital. Unclean bathroom, looks as if it hasnt been cleaned in a week! Chairs break constantly, toilets clogged, and broken sink, turned it on and it sprayed me. Awful customer service, the nurses seem as if they dont really care about you but are only tolerating you. Down right rude.

Take people back once they immediately sign in, who can walk when there are people whove been waiting for over an hour with a collapsed intestine and cant walk.

Most people who rated the hospital a bad place dont really understand how things work around there for a hospital they are 4 star the only reason its not a 5 star is that the nurses can sometimes be rude ( there getting 90+ hours a week Id be rude to) but my major problem is with rns not wanting to do simple jobs instead of calling for a tech.
