I just had my first appointment with her and I thought she was great. Her office staff answered all of my questions and were very nice. It was my first exam and she really helped to make me feel comfortable. She explained everything that she was going to do and really put me at ease. Thanks Dr. Fernandez!

By far one of the most amazing down to earth gynecologist I’ve met. She is so caring and considerate and really wants to educate her patients on what she is doing while she is doing it and or before. She is incredibly knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable. She by far is the best! Deff recommend her and her staff for too treatment and patient care.

I decided not to go to my annual exam because I was not able to develop a comfortable relationship with Dr. Fernandez. I didn’t find her easy to talk to at all. Many times when I called the office to consult with her, I never even got to speak with her at all, but messages were passed from her to the front of the office staff and then to me. I felt a great disconnect, and so I won’t be going back. Hopefully I am able to build a comfortable, trusting relationship with my new gynecologist.

I wanted to wait a while since my experience to write a review so I could really think about what happened. I had been a client of this office for about 10 years - primarily for IUD needs since it is far from my house - but I have been here a few times this year. I felt very upset by my last experience there and have decided to switch carriers. This office seems to make decisions for you, without talking to the client, based on what is best for them financially - not what you may prefer for your own body. Heres a detail of my experience that left me freaked out that I was almost talked into something against my better judgment:I came in to get my IUD replaced and had made the appointment months ago for a certain brand that I preferred that I have gotten twice in this office before. I was in a few weeks ago for something else and we chatted about my appointment with no problems. I came in two Fridays ago ready to get it inserted and the nurse brought in a different brand than what I usually get. I asked her why - and she responded that they had switched to a different one for me (without EVER talking to me about it) because Dr. Fernandez gets better reimbursements on this one compared to the one I ASKED for. Both are covered under my insurance. She begins to hand me waivers and paperwork to sign and asked me twice to just go ahead and get undressed and talk about it with the doctor. I said no, that I wanted to read paperwork on both (the new one they wanted me to use and my old one) to understand the differences. She said there were no differences and to go ahead and sign everything and the doctor would be in to talk to me. She also offered to go get brochures for me on both IUDS. While she was out, I noticed that there were differences between the two (big differences, such as mine lasts 5 years - the one they are pushing lasts 3 - and the amount of hormones released is different). The nurse came back, and I asked about this. She again tells me to just get undressed and we can all talk about it soon. I said no, and that I just wanted the one I asked for. She then informs me that they dont even carry it anymore - and no one ever bothered to discuss this with me first. My husband and I both took the day off to be at this office and do a procedure that was already planned and discussed. I was very upset - and told the nurse to please get the doctor for me. Dr. Fernandez didnt come in (I was the first one there that morning), so I walked out after 15 minutes. The receptionist tried to stop me from leaving, offering to order what I had ALREADY made an appointment for. I left and have switched doctors and no one from the office ever called me to apologize or explain.

Dr. Fernandez was phenomenal, she is straight to the point yes but I have never had a doctor take into account everything I said and listen to the treatment I’ve already gone through. Her and her team went above and beyond for me and she was able to diagnose and begin to treat my endometriosis that I have been trying to have diagnosed for years. She has likely saved my job with her efforts. Her entire team was so patient with me, with my anxiety and multiple calls and working with my tight schedule. The surgery went smoothly and she was there right when I woke up to tell me how it went. She isn’t exactly the type of gyno to hold your hand and coddle you, but to grab your hand and pick you up and say we’re going to get through this fight together. That’s more important to me, to feel like someone’s fighting for me.I could honestly speak volumes on her behalf, I am so lucky to have found her and her team.

Dr. Fernandez is a wonderful OBGYN. Even after moving an hour away I still only see her for my checkups. Would highly recommend.

I was disappointed initially when i first came to this doctor for numerous reasons...such as the main reason i came to this doctor was to get birth control for my pcos since the manufacturer had stopped making the one i was on. The doctor was rude and condescending...had the audacity to take my phone out of my hands and also was ultimately rude by stating the only way we could tell if i could have children was to “try”. She tried to prescribe me the SAME birth control i informed her was no longer being made which she called me and said you were right they stopped making it. I knew she when i first met her she really shouldnt be a doctor. However, i just sucked the appointment up as a loss. Had to see a different doctor to actually fix my problem. This is still not why im reviewing her office. Initially when i called and made appointment i made sure to ask before how much the appt would be. I paid roughly $200 WITH insurance for an appt that was awful...imagine my frustration when i got a bill for AN ADDITIONAL $100. I called 3 times into billing over the past few months and even spoke to management who said she would take care of it. I just got ANOTHER INVOICE and now im livid. I spoke to the “office manager” misty who was rude and said that she had noted she called me but my vm was staticky. I asked her if she was aware id been having an issue and not happy why wouldnt she do a follow up call? I recommend ANY other doctors office. I dont think this office should be in business for all the issues listed above. Im quite disgusted that over months NOTHING has been solved.
