This is a wonderful school. Ms. Lisa is an excellent teacher. I was nervous at first when I walked in the class but, she got rid of all of that. Really laid back! I wish all of my teachers taught like Ms. Lisa does. I had a blast and did better than I thought I would. Thanks so much!

This place is amazing and so are the instructors! They helped make a long time dream of mine come true. I had some experience drawing blood before so I wasnt as nervous, but they welcomed anyone back to practice with other classes if you wanted even more training. All of these bad reviews are just people that thought that just because they paid a fee that they were owed a certificate, but if you cant be professional why would they risk their business to give you one? Ive been a PCA/Med-tech for 2 years and I wanted to continue/better my career and decided to go into phlebotomy...searched all day for classes near me and decided to choose this one. DONT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS THIS PLACE HAS ! Miss Lisa is an amazing, kind, and smart instructor ! She made us become a phlebotomist in one day, and a laboratory technician in just two! This is especially good since we are in a pandemic, you dont need to take a 4-week class. During the lecture portion she has given tons of study material, videos, links, and other helpful advice. And in the clinical portion we did multiple attempts at blood draws, it was not only fun but extremely informational. Im excited to start looking into new job opportunities. This place is not accredited. Imagine my complete and utter surprise today when I was informed of this when I went to what I thought was supposed to be my first day of work, only to be informed they couldnt accept my HHA certificate. So, now Im out the money I paid for the certification and what would have been a great job. And, of course, due to way they process payments, I have no recourse to get my money back even though this is fraud.

I took the phlebotomy class 2 days ago and hands down was one of the best experience in a class I’ve had. The owner Ms.Lisa was very hands on and answered all my questions. The environment was so positive and welcoming that it was easy to relax and feel comfortable. Me.Lisa is not only a great teacher but she is an amazing human being who truly cares about her students and I am so grateful that I was able to get my phlebotomy certification under her. I would recommend anyone who wants to get into phlebotomy or CNA to go to her. I took the Senior Phlebotomist class with Melanie and Lisa, they were so helpful and so kind. I loved the experience. They give you all of the information and training you need in a 2 day class that most programs would drag out into a 2 week or more time period. 10/10 would recommend.

I have taken 3 classes (HHA/CNA, Entry Phlebotomy and Senior Phlebotomy/Lab Tech) The material they give is very detailed and straight to the point. The class is very thorough and you can ask as many questions as you want and they will find the answer if they dont already know it!! Lisa and Melanie are FANTASTIC!!!! Highly Recommend!!!

They are coming from relatives of person who is retaliating because she couldn’t get certified due to her lack of comprehension of the English language and inability to perform the proper techniques needed for the Issuance of the certificate.You can’t seriously expect to become certified and turned loose into the various medical venues to perform your duties if you ARE NOT CAPABLE of executing them properly without hurting/damaging the patient or keep up with the proper levels of biohazard safety required by the CDC.Please recognize that these reviews are coming from her friends/relatives and NOT from actual students. The class is provided under strict adherence to the proper guidelines and techniques needed to become successful in the various venues that these abilities are provided in. You can’t truly expect to receive a certificate by a nurse without being able to properly do the job.

I took the phlebotomy class this past week and I had an amazing time . The teacher and owner Lisa did an amazing job getting us certified she read through the lecture books and went into depth with Information for better comprehension. While practicing sticks on the Mannequins she stood by and watched so she could answer any questions we had or to help out and correct our techniques . Clinicals turned our great right after I felt more comfortable and confident. Overall I learned a lot and I enjoyed every class . I will be returning for the CNA class and to practice my sticks . If you are looking into phlebotomy entry or lab and or CNA ; A Plus is a great choice . I met amazing people , the environment is great . I highly recommend!

I must say that as a nurse this class is the best in Jacksonville hands down..my staff at the hospital which is comprised of about 29 nurses in my area (emergency and trauma laboratory personnel) have taken this class and have over a short period have learned how to properly draw blood and manuever .in a phlebotomist.and laboratory setting Ms Lisa has trained and certified so many people in this and 46 states people if you are interested in working in this field and being trained and certified properly you have definitely come to the right place..This school is an asset to the community and we will forever be grateful for your contributions. I signed up for CNA classes for $300. The check was cashed, but when I arrived for class, no one was in the building. The person I was in contact with had different excuses as to why no one was in the building-maintenance issues, the class time was changed, etc. She never called, emailed, or texted to say the classes were cancelled or moved. I had to call her and everytime she gave me an attitude, and screamed and swore at me saying that she attempted to contact me. This went on for two weeks. Finally, I requested a refund and was told that I was in the wrong and was not showing up for classes. This person also said she would give my name to the medical board so I wont be able to find a job. I kept trying to speak to her about a refund and she would not answer or hang up the phone. Also, she had me write the check for this certification to her personally, not in the name of the business. On 7/30/18, I received an email stating that since I never attended the classes they would not consider allowing me to get the certification. They also stated that they contacted me by phone and email to inform me that the classes were postponed due to construction, which they did not. In the email on the 30th, they included pictures of construction that were supposedly taking place at the location where the classss were supposed to occur. Their evidence has inconsistencies because theyre saying I didnt show up, however, theyre also claiming there werent any classes.

That course is not to learn is only to steal money. I am a nurse in Europe and my English is bad. but how do you take my money and do not give me the certificate, this is stolen, I will inform my lawyer if the money is not returned to me. you lady think im not american and discriminate against me you better too give my money back.I can not judge for my broken English.

I recently completed training at this facility and I was completely satisfied. I will admit I was a bit skeptical regarding the cash app payment but everything went as Lisa stated it would. She was completely accommodating especially since I wanted a special day an time outside of her normal schedule. She went above and beyond to ensure that we understand the information and even assisted with job placement. And above all she was personable!!!!! I would recommend this place to anyone.

I took the phelebotmy course in 2015 as well and honestly i dont know how this place is still open !! We were never taught !! I paid $ 550 for the class and receive a certificate that everyone thinks i made myself !! I dont know what rn lets them use their name but Im going to call the Florida board of nursing and have this place shut down !! I will not rest !! Its very unfair for people to pay their hard earned money to better their lives to be scammed!! We all need to get together and sue Lisa fr !! I just got off the phone with a attorney and Im filling a civil lawsuit for emotional distress because i have to tale another class and i was extremely dispressd because jobs thought i lied about my credentials !! I Spoke to the owner Lisa Monday 23rd of March. I let her know I wanted to take the CNA classes. She was thrilled at first. She wanted me to come in at 2:30pm with my $250 for my class etc. I went couldn’t find it so I called her!!! She did apologize to me and said she would take off $25 off my $250 no worries I said!! She said she started late with her CNA classes. I told her to call me when she was done so I could pay my dues. She never called me. I called her around 4:30pm. She stated she just text me to come at 6:30 pm. I informed her I had something to do!! She said she could meet me at 8pm to get my money and to receive my certificate of 75 hours. This place is very unprofessional!!!!!!!! Lady is very rude, go somewhere else scam. Went Thur the class name was spelled wrong on the certificate never got a replacement. I called several times each time it was a different story. Seen her and she told me she would print it, only for me to call her and she forget what she said.

Every day she was late she had car problems supposedly, and the second time her daughter was in the hospital,and the third time her alarm clock didnt go off. I’m not from Duval County.Why am I reviewing if Ive never been? Bc I can, that’s why and these reviews are horrible and very believable and reminds me of just how poorly the treatment is in this city from businesses.Does anyone know how to conduct business without a filthy attitude down here , damn.

This is the best CNA Training center awarded three times News fours reward for best of its business in the area. I attended the course and was very impressed with the wealth of information and education I was given.. I attended class with 7 other students who were all equally as pleased. Ms Lisa and Lois are the best people ever. I started working as soon as I got my certificate along with three others in my class. I received five books with the class. A pair of scrubs for getting the flash card questions right. We made vision boards and had a party on Friday with cake coffee and all.. I will be working for my care of North Florida and am so excited thank you for your love and support. I now have a carreer. side note. I went to uei and excel before attending A+..I spent over 4000.00 learning what I learned for 225.00 here.. Love you guys!

I loved this training ! Mrs.lisa and zinnia were both very understanding and hands on . Zinnia brought water and small snacks each morning to class . She was very energetic and helpful , I would not change a thing . They also have multiple classes and WANT you to get certified in as much as you can for your own well being ! I was also offered to stay an extra two hours for the HIV class for free unfortunately I did not have time and had to leave . I WILL come back for my hiv and AIDS training as well as phlebotomy and anything else they offer ! LOVE THEM !

The owner (LISA) was not pleasant, as soon as i walked into the door all was heard was curse words, and seemingly rude behavior. It was not a great environment, i had an emergency and was not able to start class, thank god i did not give her a dime of my money... horrible.She told me to not return to her place, and to find another school all because i could not do the class today... LOL GO TO ACUMAN! Such a better school. I have now been a CNA for almost a year, and still to this day regret showing up to this place all due to how pathetic the owners behavior is, also how ratchet her replies are to her past negative students. Red cross or Acumen is the best option for CNA classes. I promise you.EDIT: (to reply to the owner): NO, that is actually not what happened lol, you don’t need to lie. It was last minute that I called and signed myself up for the class, and it was a group of 3 people. I was not taking anyone’s spot, I had a family emergency and told the lady I actually can’t do this class today, I even apologized.. but you gave me a damn attitude, told me to pay, and when I said I can’t do it today, you followed me out when I was getting in my car and told me to not return... you’re a joke lol, you don’t need to lie to the Public, you’re personality is not customer service well. You need to go to school and learn how to own a better business. Also, I took my class at Acumen, and now I am certified as a CNA, and phlebotomist.. acumen is way better than this POS school, all due to great customer service and actually cares for their students. OH... AND thats SO funny that you say that cause by LAW... theyre not allowed to confirm or deny my information about my status or mention anything about me.. and ANOTHER FUNNY THING how i work in a hospital, which you HAVE to have a LICENSE in order to work in a Florida hospital. LOL! Another reply to the cultural diversity... My Bestfriends are African American and Brazilian meaning i have no hate towards people with cultural backgrounds as i myself am 3 different cultures...STOP LYING LISA.

This place is a fraud... I was offered the class for 200$ plus 10 lisa charged my card 610$ and refused to give me my money back i had to go through a dispute process for which only 400$ was giving back... I tried to communicate with lisa and she made it seem like it was my fault all this happen.... Please dont waste your time or money... Cheaper is not always better

Ms. Lisa was amazing!!! She made sure everyone knew everything!! She made everyone feel so important!! She is the best... if yu looking for a good cna school this is the one !! She even help yu find a job afterwards!! I love yu ms.lisa !!

I do not recommend this facility for SERIOUS CNA or phlebotomy training. I took this class in summer of 2015 and it was a joke. If you just need a certificate to authenticate your credentials then...ok. But if you need a seasoned professional whose a quality trainer to thoroughly teach those clinical skills to you...DONT GO HERE! The trainer, Lois, was nice but ghetto and unprofessional, had never taught a class before, doesnt go over the written piece AT ALL, talks about way too much other non CNA related stuff, wasnt focused, never even showed us the HOYA LIFT- but did mention it, didnt even show us ALL the skills, and dropped the bomb that she, herself, has never taken the FLORIDA CNA BOARD! Shes certified in some other state. When we asked certain questions about the board exam, she flat out said, I dont know. Lisa, the owner, has a different personality anytime you speak with her so trying to communicate anything to her was pointless. Sometimes, it appears she forgets shes talking to adults who are paying her for a service. l heard shes bipolar and I can absolutely believe that.Some of us walked away from the class knowing we would need to take training elsewhere. I had to take the state board twice. I attribute my success to simply watching videos of the clinical skills. Go to Youtube. Its really that simple. The video they show you at the end of class is good. But why pay Lisa $100 for a dvd of the clinical skills (which she charges people different prices for that we discovered) when you can watch them online for FREE!? Its insane. You pay for the class then have to pay for the book from Staples. And, again, there is NO WRITTEN REVIEW AT ALL DURING CLASS.I dont know if Lois is still there because she, apparently, replaced some other girl who had been there for years who I heard was actually really good, but she is not instructor material AT ALL. She was a nice lady though, which is why nobody wanted to get her in trouble, but that cost us money and a lack of a quality CNA education.Lisa also had her teaching phlebotomy too and she has NO PHLEBOTOMY EXPERIENCE. Somebody taught her how to stick and the order of draw just so she could teach that class. She knew nothing else. She told us that herself. It was a mess. Lisa apparently is all about the money and getting as many students in the door as possible. It was unorganized as hell. As much money as shes bringing in, that training space should look a lot better than it does.I didnt get my moneys worth from A+. None of us in that class did. We talked about it. But I am a CNA now and Im glad about that. Unless some MAJOR changes have been made in the last few months....DO NOT ATTEND THIS TRAINING CLASS! Call Acumen, Success CNA Training, or just use Youtube.Youve been warned.

This place sucks with customer service she was very rude and said i have made to many inquries to want to attend and told me not to call back while harrasing me via text i really whish i knew corporate number

Words cannot express how impressed I was with this place.. my teachers were amazing.. my classmates amazing.. We laughed and learned together.. we had snacks .. the owner was the most gracious professional and gracious individual I ever met.. The facility was very clean and cozy.. I felt like I was in a home full of love and caring.. The class was thought by very educated teachers. I learned more in two weeks then I learned in two years in college.. The classes are hands on and very interesting and yet I never stopped having fun.. I looked forward to going to class every day.. one of the students bought the owner a card. and a student from the previous class come in to thank the teachers she had candy and an edible arrangement.. She had found employment that day.. I received every certification I needed to start working..including hiv and aids from the department of health. That teacher was great too.. Everybody literally was sooooo sad when class was over.. One lady even cried because she was from Haiti and she said that no one had ever taken the time to help here because of her language barrier.. I will be posting another review because five stars isnt enough.. Please see for yourself once you are in the arms of A+.. you will never look back.. Thank you so much.. You changed not only my life my husband said he has never seen me happier and my children said mommy we like you like this way.. A+ CNA Training not only gave me a job they taught me to love myself and believe that anything is possible.. I can see the eiffle tower from where im standing.. lol..A+ you are my hero!!!!!
