About 6 or 7 years ago, I stayed there because I had to get radiation for my brain tumor. Now looking back, I had great memories there. There’s many activities to do, every single day they have people volunteering to create fun activities for kids like Bingo on Friday and movie night. I especially loved Bingo night because we get to spend time with our family and new friends and win prizes. I also loved traveling to many new places I’ve never been to when my family is there for the weekends

Talk about providing peace of mind and support in the time of crisis. No one does more to make you feel like you are not alone when struggling with a childs illness. Let you live a life as normal as possible under the circumstances. Beautiful facility with even better people if thats possible.

An Amazing organization that really took care of my family during our difficult time and situation. I never donated to them before but will forever give back to them. The staff is compassionate, they provide dinner every night and they dont ask for anything in return. Please give your time, money, or any other donation!

The staff here is incredibly compassionate and caring of your situation and needs. My wife and I appreciate their rules and guidelines for families who stay here and use their facilities. We were very impressed with how nice the accommodations were. We were very thankful and appreciative that we received a referral here from Nemours.

Wonderful place for children with an illness and their families to stay, while being treated at one of the local Hospitals. It is truly an amazing Godsend for families to go to after another stressful day of hardship and worrying about their little ones. The Staff and Volunteers deserve 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟! They are some of the most caring and loving people that give, so much of their time.

Amazing place with an amazing staff that bent over backwards to serve. Beautiful Christmas trees and decorations throughout the entire facility. My son was comforted by the decorations, playroom and abundance of toys. I was comforted by having the financial burden of hotel and food costs lifted during this stressful time. This was my first time staying at the RMH and i was truly impressed and truly grateful for their service.

As the parent of a child with a rare medical condition that requires a lot of specialty care and hospital visits for procedures, it can be nerve racking & expensive which can put so much extra stress on you. This amazing place is there to help take some of that stress off by providing an affordable (no charge if you cannot afford it) clean & safe place to stay near the hospital so you are never far from being able to visit your child. Besides providing an immaculate & nice room to stay in, there is a HUGE community kitchen for everyone to use along with a community pantry stocked thru donations so that there is always something for everyone to eat. Every night various volunteers from around the Jacksonville area come in to make dinner for everyone to eat. There is a nice atrium area with an outside play area including a large playset as well as a basketball hoop for older kids. Just inside there is also an amazing large indoor play area with all sorts of things to keep the kids entertained from coloring, kitchen play area, a playhouse with baby dolls, a doll house, 4 kid tablets, a reading area, train table, & a nice indoor play set complete with slide. The floor is all foam padded so even if a child should fall, they arent going to get hurt. The dining area is just outside the playroom so parents can sit there & keep an eye on the kids plus there are more tablets available for older kids & adults to use. They provide various activities to help keep the whole family entertained, our favorite has always been bingo night as it brings everyone staying there together so you dont feel alone. They also have so much more available from help accessing various resources such as tutoring, in house doctor visits, and even opportunities to get out to see local sites like MOSH which is s great museum to visit with an indoor treehouse type playground that is free for families staying at the House to visit. They help you with transportation if you dont have a car & there are biweekly visits to local shopping areas for people to be able to get any groceries/necessities that they might need during their stay. I cannot say enough about how awesome this place is or about how supportive they are. Staying here allows already stressed parents to focus all their attention on their kids during a time that is already hard enough

Nicer than a hotel, kinder than a church. My son was born 8 weeks early and was in the NICU for over 2 weeks. We were adopting and lived out of state so panicked that he would be there all alone. I flew a few hours after he was born and applied to the Ronald McDonald House. They took me in and made it possible for me to be with my son. There is no way we would have been able to afford a hotel or other accommodation. Not only did they provide me with a room with linens, a tv, and beautiful decor but oh my god, the whole place is wonderful. I was able to stay the whole time and not take time off of work because they had WiFi. Every day, dinner meals are provided so I didnt waste money eating out. They have a fully stocked kitchen so I could cook breakfast or lunch. For children who are staying there and doing outpatient procedures, they have a huge playroom and outdoor playground. There is also laundry rooms with supplies, a rooftop garden, a prayer room, and a gym. All the comforts of home are provided so you and your family can focus on the medical side of things and getting well.Additionally, every person I met there bent over backwards to make sure I had everything I needed, and that I felt welcome and supported. I was there by myself and spent crazy long hours at the hospital. I was worried, stressed, and also trying to keep up with work. I dont know if I could have done it without them. They made everything easier and better- they gave me more than a place to stay; they gave me a home.
