Derrick and his groups are more than helpful they are life changing! I’ve never had someone go to bat for us like him. Jonny Williams to is a Professional Personable Selfless Dr that is in the Life Saving Business. Corrine and Felisha in the front are also amazing and they are the front half of the mouth piece of this entire operation successful business and I am great full for them!Thank you

After being recommended by an employee, I went. The first visit was great. Then covid hit. They never called for our virtual appt even after providing my number numerous times. Finally after 3 months I got my first call for therapy. They wouldnt refill my meds because I havent seen the Dr in 4 months. Anson, not my fault. Then tell me its going to be another month before I can get my life dependant refills. I call and they finally refill one that I was out of after I call and threaten to cancel all my appts. Then today in an emergency, a week later I call to speak with my therapist or Dr and they put the supervisor on who did nothing but question me like the police and not help at all. Tell me I HAVE to tell him the personal reason Im calling then starts badgering me about the last phone call without asking any questions. Needless to say I hung up with some nasty words. This is the WORST mental health facility Ive ever worked with and to put someone going through a mental crisis through what the supervisor did to me is unacceptable. The goal is to help people , not make things and life more difficult. Please please stay away from this place if you need real help.

So I called in to reschedule and the girl asked me for my name and put me on hold for like 10 min just to reschedule. I had to hang up and call back. If you want to deal with this place only deal with (ASHLEY) the therapist. OTHER THAN THAT YOU WILL WAIST YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND WHATEVER IT IS YOU ARE THERE FOR. doctor seems very nice but didnt get to have a one on one with her yet. This should be a place of healing not a place of frustration!

I hate this place I would have a scheduled appointment and they were never ever on time, I would wait several hours and Everytime I had to reschedule because they would always put there patients to the last minute. I will never go back. Do not go here. They are there to make you feel worse not better.

I do not know how this place is still open much less how it could possibly receive government funding. It is a sorry excuse for mental health treatment. I have a full time job and I am a full time college student. I was referred here and have been attending therapy for medication management for almost 3 years. I received a text message last month of an appointment that they had scheduled for me. I was only made aware of this appointment 48 hours in advance so there was no way for me to get off work. When I called to tell them, I was told that I will have to come as a walk in they will no longer schedule an appointment for me. This is the second time they have done this to me. After driving an hour for this walk-in visit today I was told that they couldnt see me. The person who just called to inquire about a walk in visit is now ahead of me. Never mind that I was standing in front of her and the caller wasnt even there. The receptionists are extremely rude and will do anything they can to make your life harder. I have seen them treat people so rudely that they left crying or even worse were told to go to the emergency room if they need help that badly. Mental health treatment is expensive, that is why people have to resort to coming to this place. Something needs to be done about how they treat people at Port Human Services in Jacksonville North Carolina.

There is only one person at the front desk, you spend more time standing in line and sitting in the waiting room than you do in your appointment. They need another person at the front desk. I dont know why they have a 2nd service window because no one is ever there.

We came an hour early to get help and seen But the receptionist told us that NONE of the therapists wanted to see us because they all wanted to leave early. I asked the manager to help and he just said that if ifs a life threatening mental issue then we should just got to the hospital instead and allow the therapists to leave early since they don’t like to work on Friday afternoons

Ive been waiting for two hours there a pregnant woman with an appointment that has been here for three hours. The whole time and reason we have been waiting for is the staff is having a very loud party in the back making people wait hours past there scheduled appointments. This place is horrible. There is some good therapist working here but a three hour party complete dismissal of peoples time and schedule is rude just rude

Dont waste your time going here. They are not going to help you. You sit in the waiting room for hours only to be told that they cant see you today. I called to find out if they could get me in before driving over an hour and the rude desk person told me that she couldnt tell me that. I missed class and drove an hour and a half because the witch couldnt simply answer me like a normal person would. Then she tells me I will have to just wait and see. I arrived at 12:30 pm and at 4:30 I heard her telling someone else that the doctor had left to go home. The same doctor that I had been waiting for, for 4 hours. The therapists there are ok but you will never get past the two extremely rude people that sit at the front desk anyway. They are inhumane and if you care about yourself or your family dont waste your time here.

This place is a joke... My 1st appointment with doc was at 8:15 and i was told dont be late or doc wont see me. Well i got there at 8:00, and at 9:00 i was told that the doctor wasnt coming. Really???? I live out of town... Took $10 gas to get here and waited an hour, just to be told to go home. I guess they dont care about my mental health or anyone elses.

FELICA--THE FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST, was by far the RUDEST woman I have ever met. This is probably the 5th or 6th encounter Ive had with her (as your receptionist should be the face of the operation as shes the first thing you see while walking in) and let me just say that I dread my appointments or ever having to call bc she is so nasty, and I Am here for both substance abuse and Mental health reasons and she has been the sole reason that Ive had to reschedule one appointment and Ive been in hers now for two hours when I told her immediately after as arriving that I needed to sign a release of information form before moving forward. Ive just now signed the damn form and Im waiting now of course for the information back to see when I can make an appointment and IM HERE FOR SUBS AND Mental health meds and live 30 miles away. And this is the third time Ive been here for this because of her mistakes and not just letting me sign this form 3 visits ago. So not only has she wasted my gas, my time, Im physically SICK, AND THE LONGER I GO WITHOUT MENTAL HEALTH MEDS THE WORSE THIS IS GOING TO GET. ..Now I will say Shirby is EXCELLENT, AND my very first SAIOP meeting was literally the most touching to me, that I have yet to experience, she is understanding and compassionate and truly was just a pleasure - I honestly am looking forward to other meetings and this is for Out Patient rehab so that is saying something!!So basically if you can get past. The bad attitude, rolling her eyes. Flipping her fake hair, popping her gum and her um hmmmmmm attitude... truly, there are some people that actually do want to help and may even care about helping people.. and I know Miss Shirby did. But its going to be a LONG WAIT AND BE PREPARED TO DEAL WITH A SERIOUS B. As if recovery isnt hard enough.. smdh....

This place is ridiculous! They dont deserve the one star but that was the only way to write this! They give you an appt then you may be seen SEVERAL HOURS after if you are luck! Thry have no concern for the welfare of their patients at all. They dont do what needs to be done for their patients there is ALWAYS an unexcuseable excuse as to why thungs dont get done. I am a parent of a patient and it is crazy to sit in the car and wait for God Only Know How Long (HOURS) fir her to be seen. They dont follow up with prescriptions that need to be Pre Authorized to help the patients. This is just a few thimgs that are wrong about thos place. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE !!!This place NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY !Signed a concerned parent,

I cannot say that all Port therapists and employees are lazy and horrible. However, I can say that I have seen people treated so horribly by a smart ass and cold sorry excuse for a human being that works at the front desk be so rude to people who have come in looking for help with drug addiction that after having to deal with her, the person, persons have said ( why am I here?, I may as well go put a needle in my arm) I have also heard a young lady say she would just kill herself because thats what she was going to do before she came there and with people like the girl at the front desk not offering help that she was going to leave to do just that.. I ran after the girl and convinced her everyone is not like that rude receptionist, and spent several hours of my time talking to the young suicidal woman and took her to the ER. I see a lot and hear a lot of the staffs behavior at port because I take someone I love there who doesnt drive to the drug detox and suboxone program there. I have witnessed and heard the most unprofessional behavior come from the program director( Shauna) and a therapist Nicki). The drug classes are called SAOP classes. There are rules that each participant are required to follow, however that is not how the program is conducted. Some people are thrown out for missing a few classes. While otheres( mainly male participants) miss class for months at a time, and nothing is done about it. The SAOP program is a joke. Certain individuals are selling their subutex and suboxone prescriptions for their drug of choice. Its obvious. But the program director is too lazy to check into the issue. There is currently a woman who is on adder all , and encourages others to sell her prescription to her. She is currently taking 3 different persons adderal prescriptions , but they cant notice that either? Miss adderal queen has also been out of class for weeks at a time by lying about friends and relatives deaths. But the program director is too lazy to check up on that also. And to top it all off they have a man George manifase who has raped a young girl in the program after offering to give her a ride home , but instead waved the young girls ex drug of choice in her face. She relapsed and George manifase raped her. When the young lady reported the rape to the program director, they kicked her out of the classes and from receiving her medications . This young girl is crushed that they allowed her rapist to stay in the suboxone program, and kicked her out. It was easier to get rid of this young soft spoken girl than to get rid of a rapist who is ordered to take those classes because hes on probation and in anger management. REALLY CRAZY HUH? Thats just the tip of the ice berg!!!!! DO NOT TAKE ANYONE YOU LOVE TO THE DRUG PROGRAM THEIR. They are liable to be raped and then punished for coming forward with the truth!!!!!!
