Dr. Waler is a top notch pediatrician! We have moved to another part of the town, but continue to see him! He has been our pediatrician for 9 years now! He is always very knowledgeable, professional and has great interaction with his patients! His nurses and front office ladies are always polite! The appointments are always on time!

Very easy to walk in and get helped (with an appt.) Ive never had any issue with a long line etc... Normally everyone is very nice and attentive. Always try to accommodate scheduling issues. The only thing I miss is the pharmacy that use to be in the same office. That was so nice!!

Friendly staff, no long wait, lab work on premises. Dr Janssen was a referral through a friend. He is very attentive and answered all of my concerns. Overall, great environment, great Physician… highly recommended…..

Absolutely love this location and staff. My family and I have been going here for over 10 years. No problem scheduling appointment. There on time and no waiting. I actually didnt have time to fill out paper work. Dr. Malik very nice and asked questions regarding medical hx. Listen to concerns as well.

Its easy to reach someone to schedule an appointment or get a message to the doctor. If I leave a message they call me back promptly. My prescriptions are called in promptly. Dr Peterkin is a great doctor.

I drove 45 minutes for my baby to be seen by Dr Eadrlin.. love her and when I heard she was leaving the practice I figured I would see the other physician in the office. Debra one of the assistants ( must be a bully because even the office manager is scared to speak to her so even if you call the manager it won’t help) is so aggressive and rude. Debra talks to you like you are one of her kids and I will not tolerate that at all she has no compassion at all. My child was having some issues during the pandemic and you would think you would get better treatment. I called to talk to the office manager and was told (exact wording) Debra gets a lot of complaints (her tone and demeanor)and she gets some good things said about her too. I realized right then and there Debra is the office bully and no one is willing to sit her down and say we are in this to support or patients so let’s work on your issues that I hear often but I doubt that will happen. I told Debra she was rude and that wasn’t fair because she chose that field do you think she said I’m sorry you feel that way and try to adjust nope. Health care is going down they hire a body good or bad just to have coverage. I really hope Debra never needs compassion or care.. will be looking for another office

The practice is very professional, organized and well run, efficient, and truly care about their patients… Dr. Portalatin is spectacular, one of the best doctors I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, is dedicated and truly one of the best things about this practice.

Im a new patient and only require minimal assistance since the majority of my care is handled through the VA. This did not matter to my new doctor. She was very thoughtful and thorough in her examination of me.I appreciate her willingness and quickness for a ting on my referral that is needed to maintain my medication pump through my pain management doctor.I was also impressed with the staff as they were quite courteous and friendly and even remembered my name as I exited the building.Thank you Dr Malik and your friendly staff!! My appointment was handled with expert attention, and I was treated very well. All of my visits to my doctor are handled without problems and I am never disappointed with the treatment I receive.

Had appointment and waited 45 minutes after original appointment time and told it could be 30 more minutes. This was a scheduled appointment I made a week ago. At least six other people came in and was taken into the back. They said they were there to see other doctors. Waste of my time.

The doctor, Michael Janssen. Hes great. He NEVER makes me feel uneasy or uncomfortable, and that is HUGE since I am a female. For the front desk, Marta has been at Regency forever, and she has always been nice, super helpful, and patient with the patients.

Dr. Muhammad Ghazi is the best primary doctor Ive ever had. He is caring, a good listener and teacher, follows up with personal interest, is flexible and accessible. Lastly, he also has a great sense of humor!

We have been using Baptist Primary Care for many years. The staff is always friendly, and we love our doctor, Michael Janssen. He sincerely cares about his patients and takes as much time as they need to make sure all their questions are answered. I never feel like a number when I go there.

Debbie is by far the rudest person in this entire office. Not, one time I have call here and she has been nice. So, sad because doctor Portalatin is such an amazing doctor. They should really do something about the staff.

Dr. P is always friendly, he answers your questions and doesnt make you feel like a number, only to be pushed out after five minutes. The staff is always helpful and helps to sort thru meds and referrals and such. Even though Dr. P usually runs late, I dont mind and would still wait to see him.

To put it simply, they do it all at their location and they do it all well! And if further treatment or exams or diagnostics are needed elsewhere, they will set them up for you as soon as possible and make sure things are taken care of. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

I have been a patient there since 2006 or 2007 when my insurance change I hated the thoughts of changing but didnt have too they took my new insurance. I love the Drs. The staff, the LPNs every one it the best.

There are clinics closer to where I live, but I love the people here so much Im willing to use the extra time and gas to continue attending this one. I really like this PCP facility the front office staff members are friendly and the waiting room always looks clean. The back office staff members are efficient but could smile a little more. The Medical assistant that I have dealt with have been professional, and the treatment rooms are clean and stocked. The Physicians take their time to listen and provide a treatment plan to help you gain your health back.

The front staff has always been nice and pleasant. My primary, Dr. Peterkin is always attentive and helpful. Today I say the PA, Ms. McCurry and she was very nice and professional. Took the time to diagnose my problem and help me get it treated.

Had a horrible experience today. I was called at 3:00pm so that my blood work could be done before 4:00pm. Took half a day off and reached there on time. Got in and waited for Dr. Cronin for 1 hour. I went and asked the support staff that it was almost time for the lab to close, can someone help me. No one seemed to know or help. They just said that Dr. Cronin tends to run behind. Guess what the lab closed and then a nurse walked over at 4:15 and said that he had ordered the labs but I will have to come the next day or make another appointment. Well then they should be charged a late fee as well, if they hold the patients accountable for coming in late for appointments. Had to walk out and ask for a refund. It took everything in me to keep my calm. Could not talk with any supervisor for the inconvenience. Now I do not trust them as they do not have patients best interests in hand.

I have been coming to this office for many years and have never had a bad experience. My children were seen by the Pediatric staff and now my granddaughters patient. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. I come all the way from Oceanway to see my doctor even though there is another Baptist Primary Care just up the road from me. I love my doctor and do not want to change.

Dr. Portalatin and his nurses are the absolute best! He spends time with you, always answers any questions I have and never makes me feel like hes trying to rush me out of the office. The only downside to that is that he usually runs a little behind but I dont mind at all, he is worth every minute waiting because I know I will get the same quality of care when its my turn!! Everyone in the office is helpful and friendly. There is very little wait time because the doctors feel your time is valuable. The doctors, nurses and aids treat you with respect and courtesy. The doctors go the extra mile to figure out what is happening with your health.

My boyfriend has been attending this office for quite a while and the office staff has always been a pain to deal with. He recently got into a car accident and called to schedule an appointment as soon as possible, to comply with insurance. Patty was not only extremely unprofessional in cutting him off, but inhumane in the level of disrespect. Perhaps she failed to consider that he too works in a customer service position, and the way she spoke to him was beyond the both of us. After trying to explain countless times that he needed to be seen by the EARLIEST AVAILABLE DOCTOR, she kept telling him his doctor was unavailable. By the end of the phone call she told him she was being harassed. By the looks of these reviews, Patty needs to be handled or we won’t be returning.

This is the worst experience I ever had iat a Drs office! They made sooo many mistakes and at the end I got billed for Drs offices not for physicals. My insurance told me that they made the mistake by billing for Drs visits and to call the billing department at Baptist Primary Care but they couldn’t help me. I ended up paying for their mistakes. Never again!! DO NOT GO TO THAT PLACE.

Dr Janssen & his nurses are the best in Jacksonville. The office staff, complete opposite. They are the worst in Jacksonville. My family and I have been seeing Dr. Janssen for over 20 years. Just within this past year, the office staff has failed in having any compassion or kindness. Very rude and insolent. Very disappointed in the quality of service this office staff has been failing to provide. If you can get past the non-accommodating young girl who is answering the phone you may have a chance of quality service. All I was trying to do is make an appointment for my adult son and she would not let me...moving on to another Dr at this point. A 20+ yr relationship ruined because of rudeness!! Such a shame.

Foreign lady at front desk is extremely rude and her inability to comprehend the English language makes scheduling extremely hard. My last name is not Charles. The crazy thing is she has the correct pronunciation of her name broken down at her desk so no one will say it wrong but she calls me Mr. Charles every time.Ive been going here for 20 years and now will be looking for a new primary.

The office seemed nice at first and the staff seemed friendly and helpful, but when it came to billing, they gave me hell. When i went, I filled out the paper work for my insurance, I gave them both my primary and secondary (my secondary being Medicaid) and no one at anytime told me that they dont accept Medicaid, they just accepted my primary and moved on. So a month and a half later i get a bill in the mail saying I owed money since they only billed my primary. I ment to call later that week to make sure they billed my secondary but got busy and forgot. I never received any more letters to remind me about the bill, then just the other day I was checking my credit score and saw it went down because I had a bill go to collections. I never was notified that it was about to go to collections, they are supposed to give you 1 or 2 reminders before that happens. I finally get time to call the billing office to get them to fix it and she tells me that they dont even accept Medicaid and that there was nothing they could do but offer a payment plan. That is a horribly sneaky thing to do to trap people into paying a bill they cant afford. If they had just told me from the beginning that they dont accept Medicaid, I would have just gone somewhere else. Im never going back to this office and I suggest no one else does either unless you want to risk having them go behind your back.

I’ve only seen Dr. Cronin twice and I already love him. He takes the time to listen to you and explain things so that you know and understand what he’s doing.

The medical staff are excellent. Lab staff, excellent. Been a patient for decades myself - until today. The office staff is not so much unhelpful as they are simply incompetent and argumentative. They rarely stop talking or take the time to listen to what you actually need. They repeat lengthy instructions while you desperately try to tell them you already listened through those instructions twice and dont have the time in a busy schedule to sit through them for a third time. But they dont stop talking long enough to hear because they just dont want to. Call for an appointment and they wont ask when is convenient; they will simply tell you when you will be there. Tell them it isnt possible to simply be told when you wont be at work and they will argue with you, put you on hold, give you to another customer no-service individual who will take up the argument all over again along with repeating everything you already heard from the first person. The only thing worse than sitting through an endless corporate automated answering machine that never gets you to a real person is actually reaching one of these office staff persons (after going through their corporate answering system). My wife once called to have test results urgently needed by her employer faxed to her own medical office. The office staff faxed her checkup chart but not the test results she needed. 4 calls later and after hours of argument the office staff still refused to fax over a second time what they claimed they had already sent - while my wife was holding what they sent and telling them in plain English (something you dont hear from some of the office staff) that she was looking at the fax in her hand and it wasnt what she requested. They never relented and my wife had to waste more time, gas, and stress and physically go to the office so they could print what she needed and she could pick it up personally instead of faxing it over. Answer me this: If you are a doctors office and you cant successfully fax results another doctors office needs and argue repeatedly when asked to make good your mistake, what good are you as an office staff? I have owned and operated corporations that would have been out of business in a week if run in this manner. Again - the doctors are second to none. The nurses and lab staff are usually excellent. The front office staff may be the worlds only living brain donors. Call this office - you take your chances with your health.

Used to like it,now hate it! The billing office doesnt know how to code properly and now a $40 office visit is being billed as as $230 consultation!!!! Ive sent numerous letters to the billing office and the CFO explaining that they are using the incorrect code and I was completely ignored. I would not go here,unless you want to get raked over the coals financially.

I have been coming to this office for years..... My last two visits were ridiculous. I sat in the waiting area for over an hour. While im sitting there i get a call from the nurse asking why i didnt come in!!! Im In the waiting for over an hour. Which brings us to today .... Im sitting in the waiting area again. My appt was at 10 am i got there 10 to 15 minutes early an hour has pass. They finally call me back. The nurse very passive..... Put me in a room for another 30 min.... Still no doctor.... Ask for the office manager... Not available. This is the worst!!!!!-

The front desk people and the nurses were rude and not helpful! I was stuck in trafic because a bad accident and called to let them know I was running behind. I am never late anywhere! When I got there, they were rude and charged me a no show fee even though I called and was late for reasons out of my control. They did not offer to help me reschedule. I have found another doctor who actually cares about paitants. I left with more than enough time and called when I saw an issue. There was no need to be rude.

This is the worst doctors office when it comes to keeping appointments. My appointment was for 11:00am and i wasnt seen by the doctor until after 12:30pm. And to make things worst it is sooooo hard to even get a apppontment with some of the doctors their because they are always on vacation. I have had to wait more than a month to see certain doctors in that office. Please take my advise and go somewhere else for your medical needs.

Brought my baby here after he was discharged from hospital and have never regretted my choice. Dr. Edralin is an amazing physician, the staff are super helpful, and the care after hours staff are always available.

All my children have been under the care of Dr. James Waler since they were infants. I love this office and the staff are amazing.

Friendly office and caring doctors

Personnel is sub par, count on getting any clearance or paperwork back a week or more after they tell you it will be back. And dont count on any call back if you reach out to a doctor because they say they will call but they dont. Even after multiple attempts at contacting the Dr or Drs nurse.
