My husbands been here for 6 days and we’ve had some of the best nurses. I can’t say enough about how much they’ve helped him during this awful time. We had one not so great one. But I’ll take one of those when all the others were more than amazing! You awesome nurses are the reason my daughter became a nurse. Thank you!!

Update 9/27:They said they would contact me mid-August again about some concerns I had after my father’s passing and yet to be contacted again. How they treated my family still hurts and I hate that our last days with our father was filled with such anguish thanks to this hospital. They do not want you advocating for your loved one. I don’t know what I could have done differently to advocate for my dad and keep him with us longer since they didn’t allow ANY visitors.Original:Absolutely not. Go elsewhere. I wish I did. I got bad vibes from the beginning and began searching other options but then decided to stick it out. Terrible leadership there but the one that hurts to most is Ciara Flowers. Great “customer service,” but doesn’t truly care about the patient’s needs. My father ended up passing away a few days ago after being discharged when I KNEW HE WAS NOT READY and I tried so hard to advocate for him even though I was not allowed in. His last hospital visit wrecked our family and so much went wrong. If there is one person I will never forgive it is Ciara and the miscommunication that took place and her lack of compassion. I have let everyone I’ve come into contact with know about this hospital and have already spoken with news outlets. Kyle Dorsey lacks compassion as well. I will forever be grateful to Sam, Jhems, Mariah, and Andrew for their GENUINE care. Nightshift Blonde Nicholas talked about how intubated patients were no concern to him because it’s not like they knew what was going on. How alarming! Stay far away from this hospital and these people.

Cannot say enough good things about Baptist Heart Hospital and the nurses in CV-ICU 4 South. I’m alive because the cardiologist on duty correctly diagnosed that I was having a heart attack and took immediate action. The surgeons did a marvelous job and the aforementioned nurses in 4 South are the best!

Dr.Bates, surgeon, Dr. Sid Wayangankar, cardiologist, Michael, ICUs nurse and all the Staff who assist them are all top-notch professionals. I write this to express my gratitude for all the service I received. It has been a month since the surgery and Im feeling great!

The staff at BMC Heart Hospital are wonderful! They all have a genuine concern for their patients. We were kept well informed. Each staff member we came in contact with took time to talk, get to know us & allow us to know them. The entire hospital is clean & orderly, but not without a friendly, serving attitude. We’ve had many hospital experiences. None that compare to how comfortable & secure as our stay at BMC Heart Hospital. We were in good hands.

Worse hospital ever! I have never waited two hours to be discharged. If you knew how simple it was to discharge a patient, you would scream. I have been in the nursing field for years and this is beyond pathetic. I will never come here again. Btw my first time ever at this hospital.

Its was not the worst, but it was not good. Pace check in lady was indifferent and nurses were not rude, but definitely not friendly. Pre-surgery area is dirty and no one seems to give a damn about the patients. I actually walked out and rescheduled my surgery elsewhere. This was at 5:30 pm. My outpatient surgery had been scheduled for 3:15, and my Dr. had another surgery before mine that they had not even started. No one told me anything but they had given me my pre surgery meds at 3:30. Alot of good that would have done me. Very unprofessional and to be honest, a majority of the staff came across as being stupid.

The Cardiac ICU needs updating. I was there 8/2019. The beds are horrible the airmattress on the three beds I was in where awful. I had to keep taking pain relievers to sleep in them. The TVs are tube sets from the 90s and furniture in the room was broken so than when guests sat in them the bottom (making it a bed) would slide out. The food was pretty bad. Also, I had difficulty breathing and was told thats common and was discharged, then ended up in the ER two days later full of chest fluids. Not a great experience at Baptist Heart Hospital Jax.
