I am so glad I took my time to do the research and read reviews before making a final decision for my health. This place provides you the best health counselor (by yourself or couple) when they invite you in. Ida has been introduced into my life and its been absolutely amazing! She is truly a blessing and much more! Their office is so warm, inviting and clean. The team is very positive, great hospitality and very understanding. I highly recommend this place to anyone that needs excellent guidance in their life or relationship.

My husband and I have been seeing our wonderful therapist for just over a year now. Although weve felt we have a pretty solid relationship we know theres always room for us to learn and grow. We are so appreciative of the time we have spent with Stacy gaining the tools and knowledge we need that help us move forward in our relationship.

When you walk into FTA it is always inviting, there is not a clinical feel at all. The staff are some of the most pleasant people I have ever met. I know everyone is different but I personally could not ask for a better therapist than Ms. Lauren. For me it is being able to be honest in a caring & stress free environment and having an honest outside prospective to listen to. It really does make it easy to keep going back.

What can I say about Karen Maddox. First she is an amazing listener and always has good ideas or different things to try. I gave them a 5 star. I love everything about them. I originally heard about them through my wife. So I started going there for individual counseling. My counselor Ms. Cherry is the best. She really has helped me through a tough time. Not to mention I love the fact she helps me understand things that sometimes I dont understand things. I really look forward to my appointments and will continue to go there.

Did a lot of research and this came highly recommended and I perfectly see why! Our therapist has been extraordinary and the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. What can I say about Stacy Hernandez? Well, shes amazing! We were both rather skeptical about coming to counseling in the first place, but within minutes of meeting Stacy we knew she was the perfect match for us. You can tell she really pays attention to you (both) when speaking and shes got great attention to detail. Ive been going to therapy here for a few months now and I truly love it. My therapist (Sharon Leukert) is easy to talk to and provides me with great advice and other ways to think about things happening in my life. My wife and I have been seeing Stacy for maybe close to a year now and I have nothing but good things to say. I remember how relieved we both felt after our very first session with Ida Holem. It felt as if she had known us for a long time already. We both went in hesitant that we would find the help we needed in communication but that doubt quickly faded about 10 minutes into out conversation with Ida. I would highly recommend Family Therapy Associates of Jacksonville. They’ve helped us work on much needed communication skills and have improved our relationship tremendously. April is by far one of the best therapists I’ve ever worked with. She has really helped us understand our issues and has provided tools for us to use. She made us feel comfortable and provided an environment where we could be open. During this pandemic, we were able to do sessions remotely and this was more effective than I expected.

April Evans is amazing, while struggling through our marriage, April made taking a step back and talking through what is going on inside myself and my spouse so easy and at some times fun. I cannot express how valuable my time has been at FTA Jax. When I made my first appointment, I was in a pretty desperate place in my life. I was depressed and hopeless. I lacked the drive to keep going in life. Since receiving counseling I have received tools to help me become the most emotionally healthy I have ever been in my life. Seeking professional help has given me a perspective that I would never have been able to receive on my own. My relationships are more healthy as I am learning to manage my stress better. Being a pastor has its own unique issues and hurdles to overcome at times. I have found it challenging over the years to find counselors who understand the unique position of leadership in ministry. Ive been doing sessions with Rachel Church for several months now, and her understanding and insight into what ministry is really like has been such a breath of fresh air for me. Rachel and the rest of the staff at FTA Jax are professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I would recommend their services to anyone. If you are in a desperate place or just need to sharpen your emotional or relational tools, these guys are great! Im so thankful.

Super unethical and unprofessional. This place is very expensive and not worth the money. Expect to pre-pay for your sessions and spend $300+ per session for little to no benefit. Staff seems to turn over a lot here too since someone I know also went there and her therapist left within like 3 months of starting their services. I was also very uncomfortable that they asked for good reviews on their google page after a session and offered me a discount (!) if I did?! The therapist said they need to meet a certain quota of good reviews each month. Insane. (Which explains why this horrible place curiously has so many 4 star reviews). Stay away. There are much better marriage therapists in Jax that are not predatory like this place is. I dont know who runs this place but they clearly are profiting and exploiting others suffering. And they claim to be in the healing profession? Should be ashamed.

Where to begin. My husband and I have struggled through many things in our marriage. We just made it work. We even have gone to counseling before. April has been wonderful for us! She listens, but asks the right questions, and helps us deal with our thoughts and feelings in a safe guided way. Instead of just making marriage work shes helping us work on our marriage. She is helping us to communicate better as well as listen better. April makes talking about the uncomfortable easier and gives positive reinforcement. We laugh, we cry, we open up and analyze. Even though were doing video sessions due to the quarantine, her personality still shines through and shes a bright light. She has a very realistic approach to therapy and we have been able to tackle some tough relationship issues. Its not an exaggeration to say that my marriage was recently on the brink. Our problems were deep rooted. There was unhappiness. There was infidelity. There was resentment. We put off counseling for far too long. Tyler really showed us how to turn things around. The effects were surprisingly quick. Just a few weeks later were probably happier than we ever have been in our marriage. Its such a shame we waited until it got so bad to get help but it is literally never too late.

This is my first time using telehealth in any form and admittedly I was a bit nervous using it for the first time for grief counseling. I got over that in my first session. April Evan is amazing! She put me at ease from the moment we met and the ability to be comfortable at home for therapy is better than I could have imaged. I have been in therapy in the past and after hard sessions I would sometimes sit in the car to compose myself enough to drive home. Now I can just sit in my living room until Im ready to move on with me. Sessions with April feel like coffee with a girlfriend where you just dump your problems out and at the end you feel better for having done so. I cannot recommend April and her telehealth enough!

My wife and I have been going to therapy here for the last 3 months. Our relationship has taken a complete 180 in the right direction. The old saying you dont know what you dont know comes to mind as we were stuck in certain cycles and patterns that once identified were relatively easy to fix and understand. We are continuing to go but eventually our goal is to fire our therapist Ana for doing a great job. Ana has been great. Shes very understanding and you feel like you can tell her anything without being judged or looked down upon. I was hesitant to call and schedule an appointment because I’ve had a pretty negative experience with a therapist at another office in the past. However, this has been the best decision I’ve ever made. I’ve been meeting with April for about a month now! She has helped me tremendously with my battle against anxiety and depression. She listens and responds in a way that is honest and that challenges those negative and dark thoughts I sometimes get. She’s also so easy to talk with so it’s very helpful for those who struggle with opening up to others. I’ve never felt judged for anything I say or feel. April also gives lots of homework which may be overwhelming to some but for me, has done nothing but help me stay on track! If it does seem overwhelming, she always says ‘tell me if this is too much’ which is nice for those of us who struggle with speaking our minds at times! I highly recommend contacting their office and just seeing what they may have to offer you!

My therapist, Tyler, really helped me work out some personal issues in my life, by actively listening and providing me with tools to continue my self care. Made an appointment for my husband and I a few weeks ago based of a recommendation of our friends - when I called Tyler was not taking new clients but they took my contact info and said they would reach out when he was. I received a call a few days later and they scheduled me in. Today I got a call that they had rescheduled me with a different therapist because he had decided not to take new clients again. My husband and I notated that we had preferred a male therapist and we were just put with someone else. I really dont appreciate the scheduling of our appointment and will go elsewhere.

Family Therapy Associates of Jacksonville is a top notch establishment. The therapists are very professional and genuinely care about your progression. Tyler Olsen was great. He is very understanding and helps make a clear path for success. I have also done couples sessions with April Evans and it has greatly helped my relationship. At first I was skeptical because it was a telemedicine video conference. However my apprehensions were put at ease after our first session. April was great. She helped exponentially increase the communication between my wife and I. I would highly recommend the telemedicine sessions it was very comfortable doing the session in my home as opposed to going into an office setting.

Initially I had my doubts about therapy seeing as it was my first time. A few months later I can say that it was one of the best decisions Ive ever made. Everyone in the office is so friendly and they always greet you with a smile. They take the time to truly know you. I see Haily once a week and she is always professional, friendly, caring, and resourceful. She has helped me view life with more positivity and vigor. Im grateful for FTA and Haily, they really make you feel like you matter.

Very unprofessional, tried changing appointments from tele to in person AFTER agreeing to tele and taking pre payment. When we wouldnt switch (currently sick and quarantined not to mention we have children we cant just drop off anywhere!) They suggested we go somewhere else but were very vague in the reasoning. At least the refunded us. The whole thing was just so.... Not expected from a place that seems reputable.

I am so grateful for this team. After four years of marriage, My husband and I were on the brink of disaster. I am so very grateful to Tyler. He has literally helped us remember why we got married in the first place. He helped us lite the fire back in our marriage. We were both nervous our first session, but Tyler made us feel so at ease and comfortable.There lobby is beautiful! And you just feel so comfortable as soon as you walk in. The receptionist is so nice, and was able to answer all our questions.10/10 would recommend!

Family therapy associates has been a great help during this rough time in my life. Miss Stacy truly does know how to grasp what it is that you’re feeling and help you get through all of that. I don’t know how I would have started to move past some of the things I went through if it wasn’t for her. I truly appreciate my time working with her. She is highly recommended and on her way to a very successful career.

Initially I had doubts about seeking therapy for marriage counseling services. It is private and secure. The waiting area is so cozy and comfortable. We currently see Hailey. She is awesome!! Hailey is so calm, relaxing and neutral. The first visit was very nervous but after about 20 minutes with Hailey we were relaxed. Hailey is always professional and friendly. She does not judge, but somehow show us how to see it from the others point of view. Hailey has really helped my husband and I learn how to effectively communicate and work through some hard times w/ hard conversations & topics. We see Hailey biwkly and each visit we learn something new or new tool to help us. After each visit I cant wait until the next visit. We would recommend Family Therapy Associates and Hailey. EXCELLENT SERVICES!!!

Beautiful practice! The Parisian waiting room is relaxing with a stocked fridge of waters and sodas. Coffee too! The right way to await your upcoming session. Plenty of sound machines outside the doors to feel comfortable what you share is kept between you and your therapist.Dr. Ana will help you with skills and tools to stand up for yourself, feel more confident in your feelings and decisions, ensure your voice is heard and so much more for a healthy, independent, strong lifestyle while married. Live your best life.Highly recommend and have to close friends and family in the area. Great place for those with significant others that travel often for work, service members, merchant marines, military, etc. and would like a deeper connection.

My girlfriend and I used this therapy place. We had 7 sessions there and honestly it was the most amazing experience we could have gone through. We are so much closer and can communicate a lot better. Ruth our counselor was amazing and I would recommend her to anyone!! In addition the front office staff were very nice and helpful!! If your looking for a place for therapy this is the only place to go!!

FTA has helped me in so many ways. I knew I needed to reach out and get some more in depth help with navigating my family dynamics. I am so happy I took the chance and invested in myself. Even my husband says he has noticed the difference in me. This office is professional, the office atmosphere has always been aesthetically pleasing(pre-COVID) and team has always been inviting. If you reach out to them, you wont regret it!

Meeting with Tyler has been great! Prior to beginning couples counseling, I was constantly anticipating our next fight. Tyler helped us to identify and understand our conflict cycle as well as improve our communication. Now I feel much more secure in our relationship and I am excited for our future.Tyler is a phenomenal listener who is able to quickly get down to the root of the issue. He made us feel comfortable immediately (this was our first experience participating in therapy), and has been devoted to helping us improve our relationship ever since. We are both very impressed by his intelligence, empathy, and honesty. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for couples or individual counseling.

My wife and I have been seeing Mrs. Payne for about 6 weeks now and we could not be more pleased with our experience. Mrs. Payne is very insightful and creates a very open environment that allows for constructive dialog that never comes off as critical or judgmental. Thanks to Mrs. Payne my wife and I feel like we are finally living the marriage we thought we were going to have when we first got married.

My fiance and I have been going here for a couple months now to build up our relationship and communication skills before the wedding. Its probably been the best decision we could have made for our relationship. Our therapist, Anna, has helped us greatly to improve for each other. The staff is very friendly and personable. The whole practice is very clean, nice, and they provide coffee, drinks, and snacks at no cost to make it more comfortable. Highly recommend going here for any therapy needs. Weve already recommended it to some of our close friends.

I have worked with Tyler and Anna and they are both amazing. My experiences with both of them have been life-changing and I would recommend FTA to anyone in the Jacksonville and surrounding area. This is not the typical counseling that lets you do all of the talking and asks how did that make you feel, although they will ask, but they will challenge you with new ways of thinking and different perspectives that ultimately lead to a self-empowered way of working through personal challenges. Ive been very pleased with the staff, the office billing my insurance for me (which most do not do) and the level of professionalism all around. I would recommend them to anyone I know and feel confident in their ability to get the help they need.

Update added 5/10/21: We are continuing to love Family Therapy Associates of Jacksonville! I wrote the previous review for myself, but I am adding this update because my daughter has been receiving therapy and it has really been helping her. Lauren has such a calming demeanor and my daughter really looks forward to her appointments. My daughter really feels safe and cared for, and I love that she has someone on her team who is helping her navigate life. FTA of Jacksonville really are the best!From 2020: I have loved my therapy experience at Family Therapy Associates and I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking counseling. The EMDR therapy Frances has done with me has helped me successfully reprocess memories that previously continued to cause me difficulty. Their staff is extremely professional and kind—I cannot say enough about them!

This is a very nice office. Very clean, modern and staff is extremely friendly. Simple to schedule or cancel appointments. No surprises, everything clearly explained. We were able to meet a counselor (Ida) who has exceeded our expectations. After our 1st visit, we knew we had made the right choice. Found this place using Google.

Ida has been a great therapist and really helpful during a difficult time in our marriage. The office is comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. While they are not in our insurance network, they are willing to file and offer various other options for managing costs.

April has been amazing. She has helped me through a trauma and really tough time in my life. She pays complete attention to me and provides constructive feedback to help me with the healing process. I love the telehealth perspective as well, it allows me to be in the comfort of my own home and get the help I need.

April is amazing. She always tunes our sessions to what we need. We always feel relieved and energized when we are finished. She is funny and smart and very wise.

My fiancé and I started premarital counseling with Keri Grant, and have really enjoyed it so far! The initial session was very reflective, and left us eager to see what she had in store for us over the next several sessions. So far we’ve only had 2 sessions, but have come away with things to help us grow closer each time. The overall experience has been very positive and the staff is very welcoming. Keri is great at making us feel comfortable, and has helped us effectively evaluate our current relationship as well as plan ahead for the future.

The office may be hard to find, but it is welcoming on the inside. The staff are very attentive and helpful after you arrive. They also seem to take security very seriously, something I hadnt thought of before. Though we didnt have serious issues going in, out therapist s cal presence helped facilitate much more open discussion than we were used to, even on our first day.
