Lightning struck our house and set the attic on fire. We were told to contact this company. They responded very quickly. Got us partial electricity back to our house so we were able to clean up. Even helped us figure out our next steps and how to go forward. After the demo of the damaged areas of the house were cleaned up and secured.They came back out and repaired the electrical damage. Professional, courteous and fast. Definitely recommend.

Just recently I had a technician come by to fix an electrical issue I was having with an outlet in my kitchen. John Starz sent Technician Austin, who was very professional, but also very personable. He came in to do the job, but made a point to inform me of what his plan of action was based on the information he was given before arriving to the job. I really appreciated the time taken to not just explain what his plan was, but also that he had an alternate plan in case the issue wasnt what he initially thought it may have been. Most importantly, he willingly and plainly answered my questions in a way that did not at all seem condescending. Overall, the most knowledgeable and personable tech Ive dealt with in some time. I would definitely call them again for any future electrical work I need to have done.

These gentlemen had to replace all the wiring in a house that was damaged by Florence. They did a great job charged a fair price and I have new issues with any of their work. The electricians were polite respectful and left everything clean. They did a great job and I would not consider using anyone else for any electrical issues I have. Thank you!

So far this place has not help me with anything I have been whit out power for two weeks and all of my food is going bad and they are taking their sweet time not doing anything to help me I am on disability I cant get anyone to really help me I am struggling just to survive right now.

NEVER, EVER AGAIN... I contacted this company with a list of detailed issues occuring in my home days prior to our agreed upon time of 1500, Fri, Oct 30. The tech called me at 1438 to say he was on the way. My home is 10mins away from my job so we arrived at my home at the same time! Awesome. @ $130+ an hour, there was no time for long conversations. I showed them the bedroom, dryer, light fixture in the kitchen and oven. At the end, they couldnt fix the gas oven, explained the issue & took the bulbs out of the kitchen fan/light unit, fixed the switch in the bedroom. However, I was unpleased at no real attempt was made to fix the dryer and they didnt know the thermal fuse and thermostat are right next to the heating coil not behind the vent back panel. I was disappointed to pay for time starting when they called me! They werent in my house yet!!! And I didnt get a copy of my receipt.

After my AC repairman found the problem to be electrical on my heating and air unit, I called 4 electricians. I am lucky this company picked up, took down my information, and sent a technician out immediately. He was an extremely professional, polite, and pleasant young man. He jumped into work mode immediately and had my AC unit working in minutes. He showed/explained exactly what he had fixed and the problem he had found. Thank you again for the prompt professional service!

We live in a home built in 1959 and our service needed to be upgraded to 220 with fuse box replaced with breakers. They were very professional and worked hard and steady, very organized! Before leaving they had us check all outlets and a couple did not work due to bad electrical work by amateur. They traced it all down and repaired them all, very impressive.The price was great and they came when scheduled!

Poor customer service. Technician was good, but office staff do not perform duties. Was inconvenienced for 2 weeks. Said they ordered part and would call when in. Never happened. Finally called them myself and wanted the part number so I,can get part. All of a sudden, within 5 minutes, tech called and was on his way. Tech apologized, but no discount. Would not recommend.

Leslie is easy to work with and the company does quality work in a timely manner. Had a few residential calls to John Starz and all three times John Starz arrived on time, did quality work for a fair price. John even worked with me over the phone on exactly what was needed and even offered me insight on how I can fix things myself. Go to electrician in Jacksonville.

One of the bedrooms had no electricity since hurricane Florence. The property maintenance said I need an electrician. Resetting the breaker didnt work. I had been away on military assignments, and finally got to call this electrician through the property manager. The electrician reset the breaker and now it works somehow. Maybe there were some elements in there that finally dried up. Anyway, they charge $136.43 for less than a minute of work of resetting a breaker.

I had problems with my dryer not working after hurricane Dorian. I went through parts for one dryer and the dryer still didnt work, so I went and bought a new dryer from Lowes. When I got the new dryer the new dryer didnt work, so I call Lowes and got a second dryer and it didnt work. The second dryer had no power to turn on, so I called John Starz and explained the problem I was having. We thought Mr. Starz was going to be in our home to examine the situation, but he sent another man to our home. They came to see what the problem and they stated that everything looks good after checking circuit breaker and the outlet. They asked to run the dryer to check the amps it was pulling, but the second dryer didnt work because the drum didnt turn. They stated they couldnt do anything so they left. John Starz charged me $136.43 for a service call. Eventually we had to order a third new dryer from Lowes, and the third new dryer didnt turn on, so I knew it had to be something with my circuit breaker or outlet. I called another electrician. He came over and checked everything, and he troubleshooted the circuit breaker and the outlet in our garage. He ruled out everything and stated that the problem was the circuit breaker. He changed the circuit breaker and the dryer started to work and had no problems since then. We had 4 loads washed and dried our clothes with absolutely no problems. I paid a lot less for the second electrician to do the work. We DO NOT recommend John Starz Electric, Inc.

I have been using this electric company for several years now. The owner really knows what he is talking about. His crew is knowledgeable, dependable, and if they make a mistake, they make it right. I cant say enough good things about this company. In a time where its hard to find a company to show up,.do what they say they will, for the price they say they will.... This company absolutely will. I wholeheartedly recommend them and wont use anyone else.

I’ve used this company for both a business I help manage and my personal home. Every time I have been met with helpful workers to address our needs. They installed lighting for our business sign so it wouldn’t be so dark at night. Thankfully the situation at my house was able to be resolved over the phone. My Christmas lights shorted out the circuits on the outside of my house. They talked me through the situation until I got everything back up and running again. They are my go to for electric repairs.

After calling 5 different electricians in Jacksonville that never called me back or told they would be there and needed showed up. This guy did everything he said was going to do extremely fast and cheaper than expected. Will be definitely calling him again if I need electrical work.

The service was fast and Mr. Robert was great at explaining all the repairs needed, but I was very dissatisfied with the policies that I wasn’t aware of. I was charged for an hour and half labor because my appt was scheduled for 830, so that’s when the clock starts with my labor. My problem is that the technician didn’t get to my house until 9 and he finished at 10. There explanation is that he had to stop and get materials and whatever to prepare for the job, but shouldn’t their vehicles be loaded with all these things before they start their day??? That hour and half adds up! The job totaled 267$ to change 4 receptacles with the labor being the most expensive part of the bill. Like I said before, the service is great and the lady I spoke with was apologetic, but please advise the customer of these charges beforehand. They also said I could pay over the phone, but didn’t mention the 3% charge for payment over the phone.

I called them to fix the exhaust fan in my bathroom . The fan would not come on when turn on from the wall switch, The said it was the fan (I paid 235.00) they replace the fan, which it worked initially, I went to work, came home and the fan wasn’t working so I called them again. They came back out( a different guy this time) He looked at it and figured out it was the switch and not the fan.My problem with this is that they charged me 90.00 to come back to fix what they didn’t fixed the first time. I when I called to find out why I was being charged again . The reception was very very nasty, No customer service skills!!
