I have little experience with this company, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. The receptionist had a bad attitude and when I asked for a quote she abruptly told me that they don’t quote their work and that it’s $145 an hour plus parts. First off if you are having a bad day check it at the door, covid era or not, customer service come first. Especially when the customer is being nice and asking how you are doing today. Secondly I’ve spoken with a few electricians today and all of them all willing and happy to give quotes on the work that I am asking for. After reading other bad reviews I am actually happy that you guys showed your true colors in the first two minutes so I don’t have to waste anymore of my time. Hope you have a great rest of your day.Update to the owner: You can use that excuse only so many times. When I am done with a call and then turn around to leave a review on the link I called from I’m not making a mistake. This further shows what kind of company you are running where you won’t just stand up and own your short comings. Thank you for your response but I am not impressed. Good day.

The Tech came out within 30 minutes from the time I called them. All other companies said there was a 2 to 4 week delay even when I told them that my fridge wasnt working. I told the other companies that my food is spoiling. The American Electric Company put our mind at ease and had the fridge to working order within 30 minutes. All of my future business with electrical work, I will always contact this company. I will tell all my friends how good their service is.

They did a great job installing a new 12V pool light, and transformer.I had a hard time finding a company to install this light. Most electric companies in the area didnt know how to perform this type of service. The electricians that they sent had experience doing this type of installation, and were patient to explain how the entire setup would work.

I was referred by a relative and the service from Appointment to Install was prompt and professional. Everyone from dispatch to electrician was friendly and the results of the installation of lighting fixtures looks amazing. The chandelier was a difficult install but it was handled with no problem whatsoever. The kitchen is a great improvement from the previous 4 basic ballast that originally came with the home. Thanks to all at American Electric. I will be calling again for any electrical needs for my home.

My experience started with the replacement of a damaged power plug and quickly expanded to several projects on my list - replacement of light fixtures, ceiling fan, and smoke detectors. I was looking for an electrician to put a outlet in my wall for a television I am going to hang on wall. I didnt want the power cable to show because my existing outlet was near the baseboard of the wall. I called American Electric and from the moment they I made contact with them they were extremely courteous and professional. When the technicians came to my home they were once again extremely courteous, professional, knowledgeable and HONEST. They were diligent workers practiced social distancing, got a clear understanding of what I needed done, explained in detail how they could do what I needed and then in 20 minutes had completed the job perfectly. Then to top it all off, they were reasonably priced. I had called a few other companys and they were literally quoting me DOUBLE for the work that I needed done. So needless to say I am so grateful I kept searching until I found American Electric. I would recommend contacting American Electric for all of your electric wants, needs or projects. Wesley was my electrician who arrived on time and installed two ceiling fans within an hour. He provided excellent customer service explaining how the ceiling fans would operate with the light switches and remote controls; he offered feedback and estimates on how long it would take to install side lights outside of our garage and was just an overall polite individual. American Electric was the only company that I contacted requesting to have ceiling fans installed and I am glad that I chose to select them as my electrical company as I will be contacting them for more projects in the future. All around great experience. The scheduling team was responsive to my timing needs to install a chandelier. The install team was punctual and very attentive to details to make sure the ceiling had no marks and all worked before they left. Very satisfied.

They arrived when they said they would; they acted and were dressed professionally, they listened as I explained my specific needs, and the electricians gave recommendations which were reasonable and improved upon what I had asked for (ultimately increasing my overall satisfaction with their end result). The team of two worked a full 8-hour shift and lastly (and most important to most) I was charged exactly what I was told and expected to pay. I was happy to have professionals that worked efficiently, and knew what they were doing. I will be hiring them again on another job.With that said, people who hire them need to listen to their recommendations (they are trying to save you money). For starters, when they say to buy the stuff you want installed ahead of time; do it. They time it takes them to go get it if they dont have it in their truck is $$$/hour they arent actively working on your job/needs. They day they arrived, I stayed home and made several runs to Home Depot to get parts. I got exactly what I wanted, and they were able to keep working while I went to the store. As a licensed Mechanical PE (Professional Engineer), Id be happy to have them on any job site I was engineer on.

I called around to get a price on an outside outlet to be put in by my pool. I talked to a lady that answered the phone for American Electric. She told me it would be $85 an hour, and then they charged by the quarter hour, plus parts. There is a minimum of 1 hour. I thought this was fair and and made an appointment for a Thursday. She said someone will call and come afternoon. Thursday came and nobody showed or called. I called the office at 3:30 and asked if someone was coming. The same lady told me that she had my appointment down for Friday morning the next day. I told her No, that is not what was said, but there are miscommunications that happen and we will see them in the morning. A guy called me at 7:30 AM and showed up at 8. The two gentlemen were professional and did a good job installing the outlet where I wanted it. It took them about an 1 hour and 20 minutes.(Mind you, I had an estimate from another Electrical company that came out the day I made the appointment for $240.) I was figuring it would be $85 for an hour and if it went long maybe $120-$150 for labor and parts and I would save with this company. The head electrician handed me the bill and it was for $350. $315 of it was for labor. I asked him how he came to that figure. He said they start charging when they make the call they are coming and travel to the appointment. He also said that the cost goes up for a 2 man crew. I told him I did not ask for a 2 man crew and I was quoted for $85 and hour. I also did not understand why I was being asked to pay for their travel and it should have been 1.75 hours not 2. He said he has a chart and that was the cost for the job. NO WAY I should be paying for travel and they FLAT OUT LIED about the cost per hour. DONT USE THESE CLOWNS!!! Its a scam. Very disappointed.

Reasonable price, quality work and exceptional customer service/relations! My wife and I were expecting a baby any day when we encountered an electrical issue in the bedroom that we needed fixed as soon as possible. I called American Electric, and they were able to send out a technician who found and fixed the issue the same day. Given our busy schedule with baby planning, it was a relief to work with a company who took care of our issue quickly. We will definitely be using American Electric in the future.
