The staff and management at Camp Bow Wow are wonderful! They will get to know your dog personally and care for your pup like they are their own. They use positive re-enforcement to correct bad doggy behavior. They dont use harsh corrective measures and dont try to startle a dog that is acting out. They anticipate problems and correct them before they happen and /or correct in a positive manner so the dog wants to behave. This is why I take my dog to Camp Bow Wow. They are awesome!

My pup Ziggy loves this place and he comes back to us tired and happy. Camp Bow Wow is professional and I have never had a bad experience with them. Great place and happy puppy.

Disclaimer: My dogs have not officially attended this Camp Bow Wow. Their reservation was cancelled.My husband and I just recently moved to Jacksonville and were looking to set up day care for our two dogs. Our one dog has been to a different Camp Bow Wow and loves it. We have had great experiences and wanted to set up the interview for our other dog.We started calling on Friday and Saturday with no one answering the phone. We are pretty particular about where we leave our dogs, as we have had poor experiences else where so we just figured their busy on Friday. We called all day on Saturday and shortly before close we were able to finally touch base with someone to set up a interview time for Sunday. We arrived on Sunday, at 7:45 am- as we were verbally told over the phone and in multiple emails, to have employees staring at us confused saying it was for Monday. I pride myself on being someone who has everything in order. They told me repeatedly we have the date wrong, that it was for Monday because they do not do daycare on Sundays. Thats fine, they cannot change it but I have a personal email and Camp Bow Wow confirmation confirming the appointment for 8/29. We ended up cancelling the appointment for Monday as we had plans.So for fellow people thinking about going here, this is what I would note, communication is terrible. If you need to get ahold of them, check on your dog, or just to ask a general question- voicemail are not answered, followed up on, and they are not around the phone.We also understand mistakes happen. The individual on the phone said Saturday was busy so it may have slipped her mind- we get it. Accountability for wasting our time, gas, and waking us up early when it was unnecessary would have been appreciated. It is all about how you interact and speak with the customer or in this case extreme lack there of.I would also note the smell outside is horrendous. Inside the building smelled fine; however, outside was horrible. I know from dogs using the bathroom but we travel quite a bit and use multiple day care resources and have never had this experience.I will say the experience I have had with Camp Bow Wow in Ohio was great. For me, trying to communicate with a company for three days (we tried on Sunday too), and there is no one answering the phone is an issue. There are other day cares, with similar pricing we can attend.

Images of the neglect that my puppies received in a three day visit to Camp Bow Wow! How dirty does this camp have to be for two puppies to be in the camp for three days and both dogs manage to get infections in the paws and face? Both puppies! The smell of Urine and Feces was beyond belief! Took our puppies home and bath them twice, they still have a terrible Urine and Feces smell. Taking the puppies to the Vet for treatment. Last time I took Maggie to Camp Bow Wow they returned her with 5 staples in her behind, per Camp Bow Wow another dog bit her? Has anyone ever seen such a clean dog bite? What is happening behind those doors? Pet owners beware!!!

Best place to board a dog in Jax (and at any of their other locations)! My pup loves going here and is always so excited when we get here. I love that the dogs stay out to play most of the day, and that we can watch the dogs playing on the cameras online/in the app. The rooms are a good size for the dogs and the amenities are great.

Possibly the worse experience with a dog care place. First they do not always answer phones. Went to this location to check it out, was refused a tour. Front desk lady was arguing with a client who was a first time person. She was wrong and treated this client poorly. When client showed her nicely how she was wrong she never apologized to him. The place smells terribly and the dogs were barking super loud and out of control. I took my dogs to a different place up the street where I was treated respectfully and they were ultra flexibile. I do not recommend this place at all, it looks like the people working here luck of basic customer service and it shows they do not like to work here. Shame on you.

Camp Bow Wow always takes good care of our Montu. He gets excited when we tell him he is going to camp. Montu likes to play king of the mountain in the play area and sleep on top of the mountain. I always know that he is safe and taken care of, especially on overnights.

Love the personalized attention & care for my puppy. She loves going to Camp Bow Wow, and I feel good taking her somewhere she actually wants to go to.

Ive taken my dogs a few times so far for day camp. Theyre always so excited when we pull into the parking lot and exhausted when we get home so I know they had a great time. Additionally, all of the employees Ive interacted with have been super nice and very helpful!

Both of my dogs have been to this facility several times, so this review should let you know I didn’t just have a bad experience on our first trip and leave a poor review. I have a puppy who recently turned 7 months old. I have been taking him here 4-5 days a week, and paying full price every time. They JUST told me 2 days ago that their policy is all dogs must be neutered by 7 months and that my puppy is overdue. I’m sure that this information is listed on their website but seeing as I come in almost everyday and have become familiar with the staff, a little more notice would have been nice. But I understand things happen, so as soon as I picked him up I called his Vet to book his surgery for the soonest available appointment (even choosing a different doctor than who he normally sees in order to get it done faster). I got the surgery booked and needed 1 more day of daycare before his surgery (because I work long hours and don’t want to leave him alone all day). They told me because he was already over 7 months old, they couldn’t allow anymore time. Not even literally 1 day. After just being told all of this 2 days ago. The only reason I’m leaving 2 stars instead of 1 is because MOST of the staff is very friendly. But seeing how they treat repeat customers, I will never bring my dogs to Camp Bow Wow again or ever recommend them to any friends.

Our pup Ruby knows what days she gets to go to puppy camp, she sits by the door with the look that says, is it time yet? When she gets to Camp Bow Wow she practically busts down the doors to see her furiends as well as her human friends. At the end of the day she comes home happy and very tired!

Ive never seen my lil dude as tired when we got home after he spent the day at Camp. Going back for wknd boarding and Im sure he cant wait

Great place! The staff was friendly! We were able to watch the pups on the video app at any time. The pups looked like they were having so much fun! We loved that they gave all the dogs nap times throughout the day, and private cuddle time! We received a text message from one of the camp counselors with pics of our pups during their private cuddle time... haha ... they were so cute! We will definitely be back!

I feel safe leaving our pup at Camp Bow Wow. The staff is very competent.

Update: After speaking with the owner, Michelle, I felt it was necessary to update my review. Michelle was very understanding and addressed all my concerns. From what I understand this could have been an off weekend for this camp bow wow location and the bacterial infection my dog suffered from could have been a just a bad coincidence. I hope the staff at this camp bow wow location will take this situation to learn and grow as a team.My boyfriend and I boarded our 3 dogs here for a 2 night stay. Communication and customer service was lacking from the very start. We revived a call Sunday morning from staff saying one of our dogs, Maverick, was found in his cabin bleeding from a wound on his neck. Staff stated they believed it was a possible dog bite from my other dog. Staff reported they were having trouble controlling the bleeding and seeing the spot because my dog wouldnt let them near the area therefore he would need vet attention. After receiving the call, we immediately left our trip and started tdrive back to Jacksonville from Greenville, SC. While driving we received a call from the vet who was very confused about the whole situation and stated he believed Maverick had some sort of bacterial skin infection. Maverick is one of the healthiest dogs I have ever owned and he has NEVER had any skin or health issues. Of course, this concerned me even further. I reached out to the staff and they gave me not one shred of empathy or understanding. I arrived to pick up my other two dogs who were still at camp while Maverick was sedated under vet care and upon arrival gates were wide open in the front desk area no staff to be seen however I could hear them yelling at pups in the back. I am waiting for staff to come to front desk to check out, I am calling the phone, finally after about 30 mins of waiting a staff appears to the front desk no apology no explanation. I asked for the owner to please contact me as the staff wouldnt provide me with a phone number so I could voice my concerns. I understand the risks of boarding but this camp bow wow location seems to be suffering from poor management and the fact that my perfectly healthy dog comes out with a serious bacterial skin infection is strange and concerning. I will be contacting corporate to let them know my concerns as this location may need some serious sanitation and management help. If you decide to board at this location just beware that if something does happen to your dog while on property you will get poor communication, 0 empathy, 0 answers, and possibly a HUGE vet bill (mine was nearly 500$)

Our puppy needed someone to play with now that everyone is back in school and work full time and im so happy we found this place. He is worn out by the time he gets home! I love being able to check in on him whenever time allows! Highly recommended this place.

You get to have camera access through their app! My dog was so well taken care of and came home happy! They are also quick to get back to you and provide reliable communication. I wouldn’t leave my pup with anyone else!

They are always so friendly and take such good care of my pup! The pups get to play all day long which is what I care about, I do not want my dog locked up all day when she is boarded. 10/10 recommend!

Called multiple times spoke to someone first that was very nice and informed me that she would leave my number for the manager to call me back about my special case dog that has acl issues she stated that have boarded dogs that have had acl surgery. Manager never called back so I called in the nirnung and a woman very rudely stated that they don’t do high risk cases or individual playtime with boarding dogs even though it’s stated on their website they do. Not a very good first impression of this facility.

Everyone is super friendly and I love I can check in on my puppy throughout the day. My puppy is excited to go every time which is special.

Its a great place for Gilligan to go and have a good time and to get out of the house during this pandemic; weve been taking Gilligan to Camp Bow Wow since 2017 and he loves it here; the staff greets him by his name and makes me feel comfortable and safe leaving him there; its a great place to take your dog and receive great care!!

Military fam- (jax->SD->jax) our 2 dogs went here for ALL our pet boarding needs (multiple 1-2 wk/wkend stays). Last was June 2019. We hadn’t boarded in 1 yr and 3 mo (no trips due to Covid, deployment, new baby) and when I went to book they wanted a re-interview day bc dogs havent been there in a 1 yr and could’ve changed... which I’d get if we were one timers, our dogs weren’t regular clients for years, and the dogs didn’t regularly go to brewhound open play and happy hound open play.Anyway, explained to owner and no flexibility given the context - Ended up booking another open play place which is great too, but hope someone planning a trip reads/plans for re-interview day. Luckily I had options!

My dog, athena, usually gets really nervous going to boarders, but never with this place! the staff is amazing, i never have to worry about her when i’m gone & they treat her just like their own! 10/10 would always recommend. i hate that we are relocating because this place rocks!

My dog is always so happy whenever he visits camp bow wow. He gets along great with the other campers and that’s due to the fact that they do a doggy interview to make sure your dog is able to get along properly with other dogs and staff. I love that they have cameras also so I can spy on my pup during his playtime! 🙂

Camp Bow Wow made a difficult situation SO MUCH EASIER when we were forced to move out of our home unexpectedly into a hotel for several weeks. My husky mix is use to having a yard so I could see that he was not doing well in the small space. Day camp is slowly becoming his favorite word and I absolutely love that I can check in on the app throughout the day. My pup has struggled with separation anxiety in the past so I was extremely nervous bringing him in but everyone was so genuine and really helped me feel at ease! Reliable, friendly, and an amazing deal!

Camp Bow Wow in Jacksonville is just what I was looking for! They take into account our dogs different sizes, ages, energy levels, and temperaments. For example, my 40lb pit mix has very high energy and likes to be in everyone’s business. On the first day I told them he benefits from taking a nap or two during the day to keep him from being a relentless jerk. They do such a good job at catering to all the dogs needs to keep them safe and happy! My dog LOVES going to camp!

They are ok. Nothing that stands out compared to some of the newer facilities springing up around St. Johns and Jax.They have also raised their prices for 2021 which makes it harder to keep choosing them over some of the other pet daycare. We chose camp bow wow because we have used them in the previous state we lived in and my dogs loved it and the staff.Weve been using this location for the past 6 months and I can tell my dogs are not as excited when we arrive. We may try a different place soon just to see if the pups like it more.

I have a very nervous Shih Tzu with separation anxiety. Leaving him home alone when we vacation is just not an option. Camp Bow Wow is perfect. He loves the peoples there and I know my dog is safe and cared for when I cant be home for him. And I can check him out on the doggie cams!!

Who knows how good - or not! - it is. Lazy receptionist first told us no tours were allowed due to COVID restrictions (visited several other facilities and no one had this restriction!), then - when we asked if she would play the tour promo on the screen - said it was broken. She did, however, know the daily rates! Piss poor!

My dogs seemed to have a good time, were well taken care of, and very clean when I picked them up (I requested a bath). The reason for 4 stars is because I can’t confirm all this as dogs don’t talk. I will be using them again

I love that my girl spends the majority of her time socializing with her new friends. I can check on her by camera via an app on my phone, which makes being away from her WAY less stressful. I can actually breathe on vacation now knowing she is playing and being watched over. Someone is always supervising in the yards which is also very important to me. Everyone was very kind and I truly felt I had left my baby in very good hands. I am so happy I have somewhere to take her not only to board when I have to leave town, but somewhere she can go weekly to socialize with her friends!

My dog Walter is always excited when we pull into camp bow wows parking lot. He already knows it’s time to play and have the best time! The staff always greets him by his name and I never question if he’s in good hands. It’s also nice to be able to check in and watch him playing with his other camp mates while I’m away. It’s just extra verification that he’s in a great place with great people. Upon picking him up he greats me with a wagging tail but he’s quick to turn around and try to run back! I love having a place to trust to take care of my baby while away, or just for the day to tire him out!

These guys have such a great concept! They let our dog roam freely (in a fenced area), not caged up all day. She is able to interact with a lot of other friendly dogs, and people. The staff was very helpful in all of our questions. We really like that we can watch pups on the app pretty much whenever we want. She gets fresh air all day long, not pinned up and only going out a few times a day. Great place! We highly recommend them!

Our dogs absolutely love going to Camp Bow Wow. We have used them when we have to leave town or even when we need to board them for the day for a few hours. The staff is great and really cares about our babies like family. Highly recommend to all

I love that when we arrive my dog cant wait to leave me behind. I love that upon check in your staff is always welcoming and smiling, that they seem to really love dogs, and that they doble check feeding and medical protocalls (when appropriate). I also am obsessed with the Doggie Cam.

My dog goes at least once a week and LOVES IT!! SUPER friendly staff. We’ve also boarded our pup a few times for up to five days with no issues . They take great care of our pupper.

The staff is amazing with my dog, Teddy. He goes to daycare every Friday and always has a great time running around and playing all day with all his friends. He is exhausted when I take him home and goes straight to bed. I have also completed the level 1 training with him and his trainer, Amanda Johnson. She was great about being patient with him, while listening to my needs and concerns. We love it at Camp Bow Wow!

I was really happy with our first experience at Camp Bow Wow. The facilities are clean and staff is professional. I love the dog cameras so I can see what is going on during playtime. They also texted me an update with pictures halfway through my dogs stay and bathed her before I picked her up. My pup has been perfectly healthy with no issues since I picked her up. Will absolutely use Camp Bow Wow again.

When I have to travel and leave my fur baby behind it’s not easy. However Camp Bow Wow staff has always taken good care of my Sammy. He’s always excited to go into the facility too which makes me feel good too.

I have two dogs (Flower & Penny) that are my world. Flower is 2 and Penny is 1. Their personalities could not be more different. I tried CBW for the first time in April. I personally loved the “interview” stage because I had no idea how Penny would do. Fast forward to today, and my dogs go at least once a week. I would take them more often if I could. It’s really helped socialize Penny, and Flower absolutely loves it. She’s exhausted by the time she gets in the car. Camp Bow Wow has proven on more than one occasion that they genuinely care about their campers. They are the only place I trust with my babies at this point, and I don’t take that lightly. Highly suggest to anyone and everyone, both boarding and day camp.

Despite having to drive from Mayport to the southside - I drive past quite a few doggy daycares and Camp Bow Wow is by far worth the distance. My baby girl is admired and taken care of with a peace of mind while I’m away. My 11 month old hound mix passes out immediately in the car with a sleepy smile. I now understand why dog owners love daycare services

I love taking my lab here. I can watch him play on their cameras. Hes always excited to go and exhausted when he comes home. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are always welcoming and warm when I bring him in. I have used them for day camp and overnight stays. Great if you live in an apartment or just dont have the time to give your dog the exercise that they need every day. I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow.

I love Camp Bow Wow! I’m so happy I found it and so is my pup! She’s so much less destructive and her behavior has done a 180 now that she has an outlet to play with other dogs and lose the energy. You get great offers when you go for your first day and you can watch your pup the whole time they are there on the webcams. Pickup and drop off is also a total breeze and everyone is extremely friendly. You can tell they care so much about your pup!

I absolutely love Camp Bow Wow! I know that anytime I am dropping my boys off, that they will be well taken care of. I was honestly interested in taking my dog to this camp so I submitted just an inquiry so someone would call or email me back so I could go into detail as Ive never done this before. I just adopted my dog from the humane society last Saturday and have him set up for a new vet appointment this upcoming Saturday to establish vet care. Before even contacting me to ask any kind of questions, they called the vet Im taking my dog to (again, for the very first time this up coming Saturday) to verify if hes been seen. Then they decided to contact me and tell me they were unable to locate his records. Well..If they had contacted me first like I was sending an inquiry for, I would have told them he doesnt see the actual vet until Saturday and that his shots were up to date from the Humane Society. Then they asked me to email the shots over but my scanner wasnt working so they told me to just take a picture. I took a picture of absolutely every single record I have including the petwatch. When I called to make sure they got them, the person who answered wasnt very helpful, was kind of short and snippy with me and just told me they couldnt read them. I dont understand why I couldnt just BRING them with me (I dont even have to bring my dog). I contacted Pet Paradise and they were extremely helpful. They made an appointment for my puppy to spend an afternoon with them and told me just to bring my records with me the day of. My friends told me Camp Bow Wow were not as friendly as Pet Paradise but I thought I would give it a try anyway. Id rather just go the extra mile to another facility!

The camp counselors really seem to care about my dog. They know him by name and always greet him. They are patient and do some training exercises with him. I also love being able to see him on video.

I was in town for my wedding and hesitant about leaving my dog somewhere new. The staff was extremely friendly and helped myself and my dog Winston feel comfortable. Winston was shy at first and would spend a lot of time outside by himself, but at one point I checked the cameras and saw a staff member outside sitting and hugging him. That made me feel so good to see someone treating him like I would and taking the time to make him feel comfortable. I will be bringing him back without question the next time Im in town!!

Loved them! Theyre cheaper than their competitor (at the time of this writing). One thing you may not know, and its important for you to know so you feel safer about where youre leaving your pet (I am over protective so I had to know) is that they are owned by Mars. Yep, the M&Ms Mars. A lot of people dont realize that most of their revenue goes into medical research for dogs. All the new drugs that your dogs benefit from were studied by their parent company, Mars. Mars also owns Banfield which is an amazing veterinary service (its the one we use, we have an insurance plan with them). No! Im not an employee, former employee, or whatever. I just know all the work they do by Googling it. Theyre very humble by not bragging, but look for yourself. For this reason, Camp Bow Wow is the BEST place for your pet. They have more resources in caring for your dog than any other day care/boarding center. Download their app and watch your dog all day long.

The staff are friendly and always welcoming to my dog, Shadow. Camp Bow Wow gives my dog the opportunity to interact and play with other dogs, running off more energy that she can expend at home living in an apartment complex with no place provided to run free off leash. The facility is always clean (as clean as can be with dogs present) and the staff are continually active keeping the playgrounds clean while interacting positively with the dogs. And, my spouse and I like the web cams so we can see how our dog is doing throughout the day. When we tell Shadow we will be going to Camp Bow Wow she is eager to get her harness on and leave. Arriving at Camp Bow Wow she is even more excited. Clearly, she enjoys the experience and then comes home exhausted. Bruce Flickinger

Lovely staff who take great care of my pup! Boarded my large dog over Christmas and New Years. It was a relief to know that he was being taken care of. Spotted him a few times on the camera which was awesome. They even sent me a Santa pict with my pup. When I picked him up they informed me of how he ate and how he behaved with the dogs. Boarding here is pricey but so worth the peace of mind that my pup is in good hands.

My dogs love Camp Bow Wow. The staff is friendly to humans and loving to dogs. Theyre very attentive to my dogs individual needs and I always know that they are good hands. I love that get to spend their time away from home playing with other dogs and not kept in a kennel the whole time. And the fact that there are Sunday pick up times saves money vs boarding an extra night at the vet. We highly recommend Camp Bow Wow.

I am from Pittsburgh and was struggling to find a boarding daycare while we went to Orlando for a few days. We were driving in to visit family in Savannah, but we also wanted to spend a few days at Universal. The workers there made me feel so comfortable leaving Cooper somewhere we arent really used to. We love Camp Bow Wow up here in Pittsburgh so it was so nice to feel the same vibe in a different state.They really took their time, listened to all of my concerns about Cooper (he is a rescue and nervous around people especially males) and just overall made me feel comfortable leaving him in their hands. Plus the cameras to see him during the day having fun helped so much too!I love Camp Bow Wow!

I like your attention to details and writing instructions in to make sure they are correct and followed. I was very pleases when I brought Izzy in recently that the young woman who took him in said she was the one that first entered him over a year ago. They always take great care of my baby (Hunter) He always comes back tired and happy! They know him by name when he walks in and I can tell he’s comfortable there. He’s a very timid dog, but he never pulls away or trys to hide when we get there. We love camp bow wow!

The staff is so welcoming and friendly. I was very nervous about leaving our dog and the team really took great care and understanding. We tried a couple of days and now I have no worries about him boarding there.

Camp Bow Wow has been wonderful for our dog. The staff is knowledgeable and very sweet to our old golden. She wags her tail the entire time shes there (watched her on the camper cams) and once she gets home, shes finally tired (all that golden energy!). Im very happy to take her to camp to keep her from being lonely since we work full time.

Extremely friendly service as soon as I walk in. They greet and love on my dog. Which makes me feel very comfortable leaving him. My dog is wore out at the end of the day. He loves it! Its great to watch on the webcams as well. I can see him running around and playing. Love the set up and all the employees!

This was my first time boarding my girls and I felt good knowing that they were not in a crate all day. I really liked that all the dogs have to be interviewed prior to being able to board and attend daycare. I loved that that were able to play during the day. I liked that you have late pick-up hours and that you dont charge an additional fee for that. I like that your boarding pricing is per night and that the daycare is at no additional charge. By using your facility I saved quite a bit of money. I will definitely use Camp Bow Wow again for my boarding needs and will recommend you to all my fellow dog parents

Its a great place to leave your pet; we are into our second year here and Gilligan still loves this place; the staff is extra friendly as long as Gilligans tail is wagging when I leave him here for the day hell keep attending

I love how the staff treat me and my dog upon arrival and departure. Hes not just another dog being brought in but is called by name and they take the time to welcome him and makes me feel better about leaving him. Our pets are our children and the staff makes the owner feel that the animal is being left in a safe environment. Also, we had a death in our family over the Thanksgiving break and our dog had to stay an extra night. Upon calling, they were friendly, expressing their sympathy, and confirmed that they would take care of my dog and it wouldnt be a problem. I did not pack enough food for him but they offered up their own to him as well. This made me feel at ease so I can handle the rest of what we had in front of us. I appreciate those who work at Camp Bow Wow and while there are other places closer to my house to leave my dog, I just wont, because I know at Camp Bow Wow the customer service and experience will always be above average! My dogs love going to camp and I love watching them on the camper cams. The counselors take such good care of the dogs and you can tell the owner is passionate about what she does. When my dogs are at camp bow wow, I never stress!

Unimpressive and dirty. I do not normally write reviews, this is my first one ever, but I feel it important to let everyone know what they are getting into here.The Short Version or TL DR: there are better places to go for your dog for the same price. They do not play with the dogs unless you pay extra, something they did not mention at all until I picked her up and asked about it, nor do they offer any kind of stimulus, and expect them to use the bathroom anywhere on the floor.Camp Bow Wow was the first doggy daycare I took my dog to. I needed to board her somewhere for the weekend, and one good thing about Camp Bow Wow is that they require you to have the dog stay with them for at least 4 hours before boarding with them for the first time, and at no extra cost. I am incredibly thankful for this free trial because it allowed me to see that this was not where I wanted my dog to stay for the weekend. When I dropped her off, I was excited that she would have other dogs to play with to release her energy since shes a Border Collie, and that I would be able to monitor her through the webcams. I was a little disconcerted when they didnt offer me a tour of the facility, which is just a warehouse by the way, but I didnt think too much about it as I went about my day.I work at a desk job and was able to minimize a small window in the corner of my screen to keep the webcam up as I went about doing my work, and every time I glanced at the webcam, it was the exact same scene for the entire day. There is one attendant in the play pen with all of the dogs that paces back and forth like a zombie, occasionally offering pets, but nothing else. There are no toys in the play pen, just a ramp, and a much smaller outdoor area attached to the pen that they may choose to go to freely, that looked to just be artificial grass and that most of the dogs didnt seem to bother too much with. The dogs went to the restroom where ever they pleased, and though it is true that the attendants would clean up the mess once they saw it, the issue is that they dont always see the mess in a timely manner. I believe this to be the reason why, when I picked my dog up, she smelled absolutely awful - and most noticeably, like dog pee.The entire ride home she seemed a little traumatized, and then as soon as we were through the door, she drank from her water bowl for 2 minutes straight. I then had to spend the rest of my evening giving her a bath because, again, she smelled absolutely terrible, and pamper her to try to make her less depressed, including playing fetch and running with her since she had not had any real exercise the entire day, since I do not count pacing back and forth with the attendant some times a proper exercise for a dog. On top of this, for the next 3 days she had diarrhea and I had to take her to the vet, who determined it was most likely stress from the experience. Needless to say, I cancelled her boarding reservation with them for the weekend.At first, I thought maybe my idea of what a doggy daycare was supposed to be was just wrong. I had expected her to be able to run around and play, have a ball thrown for her, and expend some energy so that by the end of the day, she would be happily tuckered out. I had thought they would have time to be let outside and use the restroom, not just expected to go on the play pen floor, something it looked like my dog was struggling with too since she is very good with her house training. I didnt decide to write this review until after I had taken her to another doggy daycare that fulfilled all of my previous expectations - she came home from the new one without going straight for the water bowl, without smelling disgusting, and without having any diarrhea from stress. This made me realize that the first experience with Camp Bow Wow was not a normal one.I do not blame the staff; its the business model I have a problem with. I went because of all the 5-star reviews, but now I think those reviews were bought.Edit: They could not find my name because this account has my maiden name.

My dog LOVES Bow Wow to the point that I cant even utter the word camp without him getting very very excited. We also board there occasionally and Ive never had a problem.
