Very accommodating and understanding. Excellent bedside manner and just a really nice lady. She seems a little more down to earth than other doctors I have seen in the past. When possible she will suggest other alternatives before throwing a prescription at you which I really like. Too many doctors these days think the answer is at the pharmacy.

Been with Dr Vendrell for many years. She is an excellent doctor and has taken great care of me. Because of her I am in great health at 75 years if age. She is professional and does demand your cooperation while caring for you. I would recommend her to anyone who needs medical care. I also find the staff excellent!! Both the staff and Dr. Vendrell are extremely accommodating during unexpected emergencies. I experienced agonizing stomach pains one late evening last week, after an evening meal at an area restaurant. I was not in any condition to leave my home, deferring to call the doctors office the following morning. I called Dr. Vendrells office around 7:00 AM leaving a detailed message with the answering service attendant. I was surprised to receive a personal call from Dr. Vendrell herself within 15 minutes. She made an accommodation for me to come in early that morning, diagnosed my problem, and provided me with the medications needed to effectively treat and resolve my condition. For this reason, I recommend her and her office staff highly for primary care

I just had my new patient appointment with Dr. Vendrell and I am very impressed. She was patient, thorough, sensitive, knowledgeable, and compassionate. In short, everything you would want your doctor to be. I am very happy to have her on my side! Her staff was friendly and professional and the appointment went very efficiently. I have been a patient with Dr Vendrell for 13 years. She is a great dr and always the time to listen to any concerns or questions you have. She takes time to explain things and adds it to the information online, on the portal so you can look at it later.

I have been seeing Dr. Vendrell for over 10 years. Their scale was off by 10 lbs (heavier) when I went to my physical assessment for nursing school last week. I work at a hospital and I consider myself a gym rat, so I essentially use an array of scales at the gym and hospital frequently. So I am well aware of what I weigh. Please check the calibration of your scale. Seems like you may be mistakenly categorizing patients as overweight or obese due to the 10 lb difference which leads to unnecessary testing. Thank you.

Dr. Vendrell obviously cares very much about her patients. She spends as much time with the patient as the patient needs. Most of the time my wait is very minimal. The office staff is a little surly, but not rude, and will try to accommodate your needs. I have been seeing her for 10 years, and she has taken great care of me.

I to have suffered from her husbands out lash. This last appointment I was in a great deal of pain the doctor wants to send me for more test , having her lunch on time took priority over my medical needs. Telling me that I overdosed on Tylenol was horrible of her, lastly she refused to call me to talk about my labs had her nurse do it. Found out that she suggested that I take a trip to the E.R. The reason I see you is because your a part of preventive health care. Why should I pay a $75.00 copay because you didnt want to do your job professionally? Why are you a part of a network? I dont even drink alcohol overdosed. Poor choice in words, shame on you for thinking anyone deserves to be mistreated when sick. wouldnt refer my worst enemy.

DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU HAVE TIME TO WAIT AND WAIT AND THEN BE TREATED BADLY!!!!I have been a patient for 15 years and today was my last visit to her office. After waiting 51 minutes in the waiting room and then told the room was not cleaned. I have had some experiences with the office in the past that were not so good but the good out weighed the bad. But not this upon telling the Doctor I have been waiting 51 minutes. She says to me Well there are other patients hear whom needed more attention then making eye contact with me for the first time she says sorry. While doing my exam the light used to check your eyes, mouth and ears was not charged. So she tells me that since I have no time its fine maybe next time or move to a new room. Doctor then leaves the room never to be seen again.

Dr. Vendrells office staff is the rudest, most unprofessional staff Ive seen, starting first and foremost with her husband, who is the office manager. He doesnt really seem to care if youre a patient there or not and will gladly tell you in a condescending tone if you dont like it, leave. My husband accidentally missed an appointment about a year ago and Dr. Vendrells husband acted like the world was coming to an end. He raised his voice with my husband and was very disrespectful to him even though my husband apologized.Recently, my husband had an appointment scheduled which he showed up for. Upon arriving, he was told by the husband that they tried to reach him to change the appointment because Dr. Vendrell was unavailable. My husband asked what numbers they had on file and they told him the correct home and cell numbers. However, there was no message left at either number. They just never called and he lied about it. Keep in mind the world was coming to an end when my husband missed his appointment a while back, yet they take no responsibility for missing this appointment. My husband simply rescheduled the appointment for a few days later. This time, they did call to change the appointment (for the second time), but they wanted to reschedule it for a month out. Both times it was their fault yet, they refused to accommodate a sooner appointment. My husband told him to change someone elses appointment and leave his alone. However, again, the husband was rude and disrespectful and unprofessional. When my husband told him well be calling for our records, he said go ahead as if he could care less.Dr. Vendrell, if you look at your reviews, you have to know your husband is ruining your practice. Hes rude to your patients and doesnt run your office efficiently. You may have new patients coming to you, but I wonder how long theyll stay once they encounter his wrath. Im in the process of looking for a new doctor, service is not professional, last time I went, she was in a hurry, so what do i go there for? If my need is not good enough to be serviced is time to move to a doctor that really cares for the patient. She wasnt like that, not sure what is happenning in the office???

So I dont usually write reviews even if I do have a bad experience, but this one truly warranted a review due to the nature of unprofessional behavior exhibited by the doctors husband who is in charge of the billing and management portion of this practice. I received a phone call from the doctors husband telling me that the insurance company they had been billing for visits since 2013 (to present 2015) are saying I am not registering in their system as a client and that the 45 day period to submit claims has well passed for all of the claims for them to resubmit the claim to a different insurance company and that I would be responsible for the balance for all visits since 2013. As I try to tell him that I havent had BCBS for years and that the correct insurance company they should have been billing to is Aetna and that I proactively provided them with this info myself, he rudely interrupted me and told me that all he wanted to know is if I would pay the balance. When I replied no because it was not my fault they had been billing the wrong insurance for 2 years and had not bothered to notify me in person or in writing of the balances as they were denied, he again interjected and told me our relationship was over and for me to find another PCP and then hung up on me. Not once had anyone at that office ever bothered to ask me for any updates to health insurance policies, and even though I had provided the information on my own to the receptionist, it obviously wasnt inputted into their system.......their staff screwed up and her husband is behaving this way with the consumer....this is the most bizarre and unprofessional behavior I have ever seen in any health care setting and I am in this profession and so is my husband. This encounter will be reported to the relevant agencies and I highly recommend not going to this practice because although the doctor is great, the office staff which is managed by her husband are absolutely a nightmare. It also seemed to me that her husband was speaking to me with a condescending tone and like as if he were trying to exert some sort of control over me by the choice of his words....again very unprofessional but it may have something to do with the culture he comes from.

I have been going to Dr Vendrells office for approximately 3 years until today. I had an appointment in May and the NP ordered several tests based on her assessment. Unfortunately the office did not code the diagnosis correctly and the lab tests were not covered by my insurance company due to their error. When I called to ask them to fix their mistake the man who said he was in charge of billing started talking over me, yelling and screaming, being extremely rude and unprofessional and hung up on me 3 times. He told me if I wanted a new doctor to go find one and when I told him I would that I wanted my records he said they would copy them at a fee of $25 for the first 25 pages and then $.25/page for every page after and that he would make sure they charged me for everything they could. As a healthcare provider I am appalled that any physician would allow their office staff to speak to anyone in such an unprofessional manner and chase away customers with insurance. Disgusting. Now I am sure I will be stuck with a $900 bill due to their error. Since there is no other way to inform Dr Vendrell of her office staffs behavior, I will post it here in hopes that she sees her reviews.
