It’s been a little bit but just was reading reviews and wanted to highlight that my wife and I enjoyed our experience. We recently started last year as newer folks to Jacksonville. We enjoyed our first visits with the office and both had a solid experience. My wife and I found Dr. Terry to be professional, caring and also had a good sense of humor. (I find those 3 all important when deciding on a family practice to go to)

Dr Hashey was one of the worst Drs I have ever been to. His approach is very cold and disrespectful. He targeted treatments that would have no positive impact on my primary ailment. When he realized that I was not happy with his approach his response was Good Luck!.

Unfortunately, my care has completely deteriorated at First Coast Family Medicine......I began years ago with Dr Hashey......since then I have only been able to see the Practitioners.....his assistants. Everything from appointments to expected yearly tests and imaging have been completely ignored in my case! For example, getting a flu shot was NEVER mentioned or suggested at my recent annual appointment. I am 77 years old, one would think a flu shot would be important. Also, in all the years I have been going there, a colonoscopy (which should be done every 5 years Im told) has never been suggested. My father had coloncancer! Also, nobody there has ever suggested a mammogram!!!!The lack of basic care is very disappointing and unbelievable. Do nottrust your care to this facility..........you would think these standard exams and procedures could be easily tracked automatically with computerprogramming.......very sad! Its scary the lack of follow up and care theyare giving to people. Please find a caring physician facility......your lifedepends upon it!Sincerely,Neva

Came in there as a potential first patient. The appointment was set for 2:30PM. However I came a little sooner than that and the staff expected me to do paperwork. Shouldn’t paperwork and care be included in the allotted appointment time? Besides it doesn’t take a long time to complete paperwork. I don’t know the front staff’s names, but I proceeded to leave because they wanted to reschedule for three weeks in advance. They asked if another provider was okay I said no I preferred Dr. Hashey. So the lady says let me know if you find another place that doesn’t require you to arrive 30 minutes prior. Very unfriendly and lost a patient because of unnecessary commentary and rudeness.

Took care of my wife who is a pancreatic cancer survivor. Compassionate, clear communication. Excellent referrals to specialists. A great experience and believe me when I say we’ve dealt with dozens of doctors over the years.

Love them all. Front desk, nurse and Stephanie. Drive from orange Park which is a 45 minute drive but we’ll worth it.

First class care by a first class staff that is caring and comfortable to talk to. I put my life in their hands because I know Dr. Hashy and his staff are looking out for me.You can call and talk to the staff or you can use their online system, but either way it is easy to communicate with the staff for records, questions, refills, or just making an appointment.

Very rude nurse. Wouldn’t listen. Interrupted me several time. While explain symptom. Didn’t care nor Dr Hashey. Refused to do blood test while I was fasting and ready. Unprofessional and rude. Don’t recommend to anyone. I’ve put up with this attitude hoping he will change. They are powerful and no mercy. Finally, doctor Hashey chose not to continue with my treatment.

Dr. Hashey has been my family practice doctor since I moved to Jacksonville in 2008. Every experience with his staff and with him has been OUTSTANDING. If you are looking for a new doctor, I highly recommend him. He proved to be the best once again last week when he treated me for an eye injury. Thanks Dr. Hashey!!!

Bad communication with front desk staff - lies, excuses and bad attitudes are what you receive when you call or go to the office to find out why your pharmacy hasnt received refill prescriptions. Forced to threaten legal action to obtain medical records. Surgery cancelled by Dr. Hashey on a technicality because I can (his words, not mine), for something he approved over 6 months ago and was not involved with otherwise. Sadly, this cancellation was solely due to my request for medical records. I thank him for his service to our country, but not his track record as a doctor.

The doctor needs a new staff with improved attitudes. Ghetto place! (In reply to Hasheys poor and dismissive response: Thank you for trying to minimize my opinion with cowardly comments. You should try to address the issue instead of deflecting. This is exactly whats wrong with this place. Id expect nothing more from a group that talks down to people and hangs up on them when caught in lies. Its nice that you pat yourself on the back, however, the publics opinion is the one that counts. People can decipher real from fake reviews and if they cannot, they will learn the hard way. In the end, you cant disguise a bad act! Try to IMPROVE instead of covering up. On second hand. Scratch improving, you cant fire your own relatives. Family first! You are in the wrong business.)

I’ve been going here for almost a year and it has sharply declined. This office is struggling. Billing system is broken, referral system is broken, phone/message systems are spotty, and staff does not return calls. When I bring up these issues I get a rude or aloof response. I like the health app they work through, but that’s about it. I hope they fix the systems and the bad attitudes.
