My daughter has finally made it into a dentist a dental office. Today, shes having 3 cavities filled and we prayed before she entered the clinic. The staff was very friendly and professional. With all the gems we are enduring today, it was refreshing to not only be in an exceptionally clean facility, but to see a staff member wiping down the touched and possibly touched areas. I felt more relaxed and happy that they were the chosen providers for her. Still praying that her experience in the back was just as great.

I moved here from Pennsylvania and was very lucky to have found this dentistry office . This was the third appointment to repair some overlooked previous work. Dr. Stanford and the whole staff have been wonderful every step of the way. Extremely professional , helpful with questions , and friendly . I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist .

Super nice people and the hygienist is good, but thats about where it ends. Every time I would visit it seems the dentist would always find something to try and upcharge me on. This dental office seems like they are more about trying to make money than actually trying to help the patients. I also had a cavity performed by them, and within a few months it was hurting. I went to a new dentist who took an x-ray and the first question he asked was who did this because it was such a terrible job that he had to redo it. 10 out of 10, would not go back.

Everyone in the office is always very friendly from the greeting to the end. They are always mindful of the time in the office which is not always accounted for in doctors offices these days. Ashley ensures that my teeth are cleaned and I am the doctor follows up on any issues identified in the past.

This practice is amazing!!! I see Dr. Podvia. To say I’m the most picky patient ever is probably an under statement. I have zero complaints with Dr. P and her amazing staff. I’ve been a patient of other north side dental offices and they can’t touch this one. With state of the art technology, going to the dentist no longer has to be a dreaded visit. I actually look forward to it.

Love, love this place! I actually look forward to going to the dentist. Not only do they give superb dental care but they truly care about the patient as a whole. They ask about you and see how you and your family are doing and they remember the details and show true compassion and care. I started seeing Dr. P in 2005 after I retired from the military. She and her staff are the best of the best. As crazy as it may sound I enjoy going in for my cleaning and check up. Everyone at her office is friendly and polite courteous and professional. You feel at ease and at home when you go there. There is no other dentistry for me than that of Dr. P. I want to say thank you to all of you for taking care of me for all these years.

Hands down the BEST Dental practice I have ever been to! Dr. Alisha Stanford is my Dentist. She is beautiful, intelligent, funny, and a tooth fairy!! From the front office to the back office the entire staff is welcoming and loving! I have referred family and friends near and far. So - I had my first visit with Dr. Stanford and the staff at Podvia & Stanford this week. I had not been to the dentist in 8 years due to a bad experience at a difference dental facility (dont judge me at least I went now). I have to say that the staff here was outstanding, Nicole and Megan were great and definitely put my mind at ease and made me very comfortable. I appreciate the way the staff explained steps and talked me through the entire process. Thank you for the great experience!

This is the first review I’ve ever left in my life. I tend not to do so because I own and operate a business with 50+ employees and understand the impact on a business receives when the actions of one employee are less than satisfactory. I would prefer to inform a manger or owner and allow them the opportunity to rectify it 1st. Anyway enough about that and with experience. Almost 3 years ago I received custody of my two boys I am when they moved in, I had not been to the dentist for a couple years. My dentist was not able to get new patients in for a month so I reached out to my this dentistry who had availability the same week. The receptionist was fantastic the facility was nice and the dentist were friendly. At the end of the cleaning I was disappointed to find out one child had 11 cavities and the other had 14 cavities. We quickly put together a plan to repair all of this and get the boys back on the right track. The total came out to about $5000 however my insurance covered almost all of it and I had small co-pay. Due to the number of cavities each child had four appointments. About a week after my sounds first session I got a call from the dentist stating that they did not except my insurance and I owe them $1400 for the first session. I was upset due to the fact that they checked my insurance before my first appointment for the cleaning and everything was fine now they’re saying I owe them 1400.00. I disagreed and stated I would not have use them for service if my insurance was not valid with them I would’ve simply matter if I’m with another dentist and moved on. To this day I still have an invoice with them for $1400 which I never pay. It is affecting my credit however it’s the principle. This however isn’t even the reason for the bad review. I reached back out to my dentist that we have used for several years. After the boys check up the dentist reported zero cavities and one child’s mouth and two in the other. At this point Podvia and Stanford lost all credibility in my book. In hindsight, I would rather have this illegitimate $1400 collection on my credit then still taking my kids to a dentist who would do this.

Dr. Podvia and Dr. Stanford are amazing dentists who are very thorough and care deeply for their patients. The staff and dental hygienists go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at ease. I would recommend them to everyone and their family.

This was my first time calling Podiva and Sanford to get an appointment due to a severe tooth ache and Brittany was able to get me right in the same day. Unfortunately the tooth had to be pulled and Dr. Stanford was able to accommodate. I’ve been going to this denistry for about 5 years now. Not once have I had anything less than an amazing experience.The dental hygienists and assistants are all wonderful. I’ve come to know just about all of them. I love everyone’s personality and they do a 10/10 job.Dr. Podvia is my doctor. She is kind, attentive, and does wonderful work. My front tooth was severely chipped due to poor dentist work in another state. I also had a crown that was put on incorrectly. Dr. Podvia and her assistants fixed BOTH of these problems PERFECTLY. There is no comparison to the poor work I had done before. I didn’t realize how much I hid my smile until I had nothing to hide. It sounds silly, but getting my dental work done here actually made me smile more in my daily life!I couldn’t be more thankful for this wonderful staff. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

My son Derrick had a great experience for his first dental visit. Faith was very patient and sweet, informative. I really hope he gets to work with her again. The dentist was was wonderful as well, seemed very honest, realistic about potential issues and what needed to be addressed and what needed to be monitored. I was excited about giving this place a shot based on all the positive reviews. Unfortunately, the lady over the phone was terribly rude and ruined the experience for me before I was able to give it a chance.

I have never like going to the dentist. Thus said, I was very surprised at the thorough review of my mouth. They performed exams that I have never had any other Dentist to do. I was happy and that does not happen in a dentist office for me. Plus the staff was excellent. I give my approval of this office.

This was my first appointment at the office. I was very impressed with the completeness of the exam. Amanda was very friendly and patient with me as we went through the numerous x-rays. Dr. Stanford was also very friendly and explained the next course of treatment to me and was very intent on making me comfortable during treatment. I actually look forward to going back. I have been to this office twice so far for a cleaning and exam and love the staff. They are all so nice and are great at explaining what needs to be done and why. I am normally afraid of the dentist, and this place is actually relaxing.

Dental offices could learn a thing or two after spending a day at P&S and watching how smoothly things are run and how everyone works together cohesively. My husband and I have been going to Podvia and Stanford for a little over 2 years now and even had our 2 children switched over from their pediatric dentist. The entire staff is a pleasure to work with and communicate with. They have their system down pat and everything runs extremely smoothly. I love that every time I go in for my cleaning, its always the same person so its nice to be able to catch up with them from the last visit. You will feel like you are a part of the P&S family and not just another patient for the day. Everyone always has a smile and is welcoming and so very nice!! I cant say that I enjoy going to the dentist but I can say that when I go to Drs. Podvia & Stanfords office that I am greeted with a smile and all the employees are friendly, and make you feel welcome. They found things wrong that a dentist I went to a month ago didn’t mention making me believe everything was perfectly fine. Everyone that works in the office are super friendly and helpful! We were happy with our dentists and most of the dental staff at Podvia & Standford. On almost every visit we were called-back on our appointment time and were met by friendly, caring staff. We spent a lot of money here and was disappointed when we received a form letter in March that said our insurance and this practice could not reach an agreement on fees and that our insurance would not be usable there. We were ready to accept this, and stay with them even if our out-of-pocket costs rose. That was until we got a bill saying our account was 90 days overdue and contact us IMMEDIATELY. I had just been to the office a few days before this bill arrived and was told, you have a positive balance on your account. I had always paid any balance due when leaving the office and would have paid, without question, any balance if presented to me. This was and still is, a shocker. When it comes to the money side of a relationship, the friendly, kind, and professional service seems to lose its luster. Here is another example of businesses bookkeepers and support staff ruining a good relationship. We made a special trip to the office and paid the small balance- a less than a fraction of 1% of the money we had spent in the last 1 1/2 years. We will move-on. When you lose the personal touch in your practice, when you get so large that you cant keep your eyes on the business, you often lose the very thing that made you an attractive choice to begin with. I have been a patient at another Dentist Office in Jacksonville for the past 20 years. I was told so many good things about this office along with it is much more convenient to my residence so I gave it a try. I wasn’t disappointed.The experience from my very first visit, to the cleaning and onto having 2 of my caps replaced has been a journey. This is one of those offices that the entire staff truly enjoys working there and are professional, cordial and personable. They greet you by name, share stories and ensure your visit is as painless as possible. Went in today for a cleaning & x-rays. Its a very friendly & clean environment. Amber was my dental hygienist & she was amazing. Offered me a blanket, was very gentle on my teeth, showed me a before and after photo of them, and she even introduced me to a bluetooth electric toothbrush & also suggested products & methods that would work best for me.I look forward to going again in 6 months. :)

These folks do great work and are very responsive. I had a crown come off while traveling over the weekend. Today is a holiday for the practice but a tech came in anyway to temporarily attach the crown. Now I can enjoy the 4th of July holiday and the permanent repair will be done on Thursday, their first regular workday since I got back. I have been coming here for dental care for three years and have always been happy, but the treatment I received for this was beyond my expectations.

The group of ladies at this practice were nothing short of fantastic. From their smiling faces to taking the time to talk to me through everything going on, it was truly a great experience. I look forward to going back and making this our dentist family home. Thank you!

I absolutely love the ladies at this office. Faith is the hygienist who does my teeth and she is very personable and never once made me feel rushed. In addition, I never have a long wait for my appointments which is important to me. The one thing I dont like (which happened in my previous visit) was the hygienist was wearing one pair of gloves the entire time (while cleaning my teeth, touching the computer and mouse, and touching xray button etc.) When I mentioned it to her she told me well we clean the keyboards and mouse. Being in the medical field and working with patients DAILY, I didnt like this especially when your working inside my mouth. I did express my concerns to the hygienist and Dr, (Im not sure if it was resolved, because I havent had that same lady again.. I refuse!!) This is the only thing I would recommend some training on. It only takes a few extra seconds in my opinion to remove gloves and look on computer if you absolutely need to. Otherwise you can review my teeth on the computer prior to my arrival. Overall, I highly recommend this office to anyone, conveniently located for anyone on the northside and staff is FRIENDLY. I absolutely love Dr. Podvia (she has always been sweet with great bedside manner).

Ive been working as an assistant for Dr. Standard for over the 15 years , but not only is she my Boss, shes been my dentist as well! I knew I wanted to write a review, I just didnt know if I wanted to write one as the assistant or the patient. Then I realized what a great opportunity to give a behind the scenes look into this great office and these awesome dentists ! As an assistant we work so closely to the dentist . We ( I ) almost become their shadow, right hand man, be one step ahead of them at all times. Dr. Standard and Dr. Podvia both have been practicing dentistry for over 20yrs and together 11yrs ago they created this awesome practice! They complement each other so well !!! It is important to me that people know when they make a decision to come to our office, that they have made the best choce!! These woman are incredibly dedicated to their patients and work ! Patient care here is like no other. Its important to them to make things right ! To get people to better oral health ! Give people confidence in their smiles ! We are like family here, and if you become a patient then youre family too. Its important to us to know our patients! If I had to describe Dr. S and Dr.P in five words it would be this : determined, caring, very particular(oh thats 2) , loyal, and honest! This is what they also expect from us , and Im okay with that :) because its important to me that people leave our office better than they came in. I take pride in knowing that our patients leave with wonderful beautifully made crowns, that the fillings we place have been checked over, given that extra couple of minutes , to triple check that all cavity is removed! That someone who covers their mouth because they are so embarrassed of their missing teeth, have tears in their eyes the day they finally look into the mirror and see a brand new smile!! The patient who cant even sit in the dental chair because of fear , taking the time to talk with him finding out what exactly triggers that fear and be able to help him with options and a plan ! I could go on and on. . From our other fantastic assistants or our knowledgeable hygienists to the awesome ladies at front desk !! Tons and tons of experienced people to help you!! I said no problem I would gladly transfer over because I am actually due for a cleaning myself and my husband as well. (My current dentist does not take kids under 7). They denied me again and said to try somewhere else. Apparently they do not need new patients.
