I have not seen David Moenning in more than a decade. It probably is closer to two decades. I was a member of his church when he was pastoring in Deltona. I agree with many of the positive posts you read here. I found his intellect to be consistent with his education level. He was very compassionate. He was also able to convey cogent and thought provoking questions and concepts.I did read a few negative comments here. Obviously everyone has opinions. But, I wonder if one can write such clear and concise negative assessments of Dr. Dave are they also able to review and assess their own relationships and personal attributes in the same manner? If so, why would one need counseling?Counselors often work with us when things are not going well in our lives and in our relationships. Often times the emotions are raw. We seek counseling to see a different perspective than we already have.Reviewing a counselor is quite different than reviewing say the plumber. I recently hired a plumber. I paid him $250. The plumbing problem was fixed. So I think he did a good job. The plumber was responsive, timely and effective. So I think he did a good job. 5 stars to the plumber. It is easy to review that type of service because it doesn’t require anything of me for him to be responsive, timely and effective.Yet the effectiveness of counseling does require actions on my part. It requires a lot from me. The counselor is my guide. He helps guide me through the process. But the effectiveness of the counseling does rely a lot upon my own willingness and abilities to process. At times I am very open, ready, able and willing to process. At other times I may not be and that perhaps is the reason I need the counselor to guide me.Further, there have been times when David was exactly the person who God used as I was open, willing and able to hear his counsel. Other times, God used someone completely different.I have never had formal counseling from David. But as my former pastor I did get informal counseling through him being involved in my life.I didn’t write this to bash anyone. I wrote it to be helpful.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! My wife and I literally recommend Dr. David to everyone we know in regards to premarital counseling, marital counseling, and individual counseling. His premarital / marital counseling has helped set my wife and I up for a successful marriage, and his personal counseling helped me as I went through a difficult season of life. Whats great about Dr. David is that hes not just some counselor who wants to make you reliant on him to make a profit off of you, as some counselors are known to do. In a time that I was struggling, I went to him for a few sessions and then he let me know that I was good to go without needing any more sessions. Dr. David wants to see you succeed and overcome your issues, not just learn how to live with them as many counselors attempt to preach. I advocate for his counseling, because hes a wise man who knows what hes talking about, and genuinely cares for you throughout the whole counseling process. He isnt just some guy who was my wife or Is counselor, but he has now become a friend.

Dr. David is a very compassionate counselor who has specific knowledge to helping those who are in vocationally ministry. It is sometimes hard to find a counselor that has that unique perspective. He has been very helpful to me and my husband both individually and as a couple especially when it comes to the unique struggles that can sometimes come with vocational ministry.

My husband and I wouldnt recommend anyone else for counseling. We went for premarital counseling, and my husband has gone for personal counseling. We love how Dr. David tells you the truth in love, so that you can actually be free from the issues youre dealing with. He is very genuine in the way he treated us, and we can tell he actually cares about us. My husband and I know for a fact that our marriage is that much better because we did premarital counseling with Dr. David. We highly recommend him!

I highly recommend Dr. David. He is extremely compassionate and caring. He was instrumental in helping my wife and I navigate through some tough teen years with our children.

I would highly recommend Dr. David Moening to anyone, especially those who are hesitant about opening up and skeptical that it will help.My experiences with David have been great, and Im delighted with my time over the last year.David is professional, caring, accountable, dependable and empathetic. But, he is honest and provides the wisdom and knowledge of just how to put things in perspective for you to head down the more-clear path as times situations can be very confusing. This guide alone has helped me tremendously and provided much needed different and better outlook on things that at the time, seem like a big deal, but in reality, they are not.If you are considering meeting with someone to discuss business situations, relationships (as we all know -they can be complicated and challenging), how to draw boundaries to maintain your happiness, be a better husband, friend, or to have things you need to get off your chest and receive honest and concise feedback about, then look no further.

I truly couldnt feel more blessed to find a counselor who is as intuitive, empathic, and REAL as Dr. David. I feel like Im just talking to a friend when suddenly he finds and communicates the heart of my issue right back to me in a way I can hear, or he highlights a word or phrase that I didnt even hear myself repeating. I cannot recommend him enough. This is probably the most beneficial counseling Ive ever received.

David is an extremely gifted counselor. He has assisted our family with counseling and we continue to use his advice/tips/help whenever we fall back into old habits. We came to David when we thought there was no hope for reconciliation and I was fearful I had waited too long. It’s never too late to make amends! Sometimes you just need help! That’s where David comes in. He is caring, kind and nonjudgmental. I wholeheartedly recommend him to all who seek family restoration and guidance.

It is evident that Dr David truly cares for his clients. I appreciate his ability to both listen and emphasize with my story but also offer such insight into the situation that I could not see for myself. Not only was I able to return to a place of emotional health but I feel like he left me with the tools I need to face difficulties in the future. Although I was nervous at first to see a counselor I felt completely at ease within the first few minutes. I really can’t put a price on the value he brought into my life, I only wish I would have gone sooner as it had been something I was considering for years. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

My wife and I have been seeing Dr Dave for the last four years, together and separately. He has been instrumental in helping me navigate some tough times. I really feel that he has a heart for helping people. Other counselors I have seen in the past seemed distant and insensitive but Dr Dave really cares about my issues.

The worst experience in counseling I ever had! I come from abuse and David was being ugly and aggressive towards me! We now see a counselor who is A lot more insightful he actually asked questions and knows how to put things into perspective without attacking people! Seems like David is just in it for the money. $250 well wasted! I will never forgot how disrespectful he was to me!

Dr. Moenning has provided a lot of wisdom and insight to me and many of my associates. He is very understanding and kind when dealing with complex and difficult situations. I trust him and highly recommend him.

Counselors should be accountable to their clients just as their clients should be accountable to their counselors. When the going gets tough a counselor who prefers not to deal with the situation demonstrates a lack of professionalism, a lack of passion for their craft, and most importantly, lack of desire to truly help others. At the point in which a counselor decides they dont have the time or desire to serve their clients the really ought to consider retiring or consider another profession and they should definitely seriously reconsider why they do what they do. I wouldnt recommend David to anyone and that is based on the fact that his counseling is shallow, one-sided and likely not confidential since you can hear the other counselors/clients in the offices right next to his. Questionable style, class, and professionalism in his office. If you are looking for a counselor who will go deep when the going gets tough then keep looking because based on my expereince he was a waste of time and money for both me and my wife. I hope he turns his professionalsim around and demostrates he has what it takes to get results when results are critical.
