The minute I walked in the door of the clinic I felt like family. Everyone has been kind and taken exceptional care of me. They have taken time to discuss my entire wellbeing including issues about my family and friends illnesses and deaths. I feel like they are family and listen carefully to my concerns and have made suggestions to help me. I recommend them to everyone who needs pain management in the Jacksonville area.

This place is horrrible - Shelly is the nastiest person we’ve had to deal with in the medical industry and we have had to deal with a lot in the past several years. She is rude, uncaring and extremely rough. Don’t let this woman come near you or your family. My mother needed her oxygen and this woman refused to give it to her. When we told the manager Laura she had the same terrible attitude. My mom came out of her appointment in emotional and physical pain.

I have been with this office for about 10yrs and have NEVER had the problems one person wrote about..They are more than willing to try any & all other options to reduce your pain..If pain pills are your only choice then they go very slow in dose and # of pills you get as they understand your body will adjust to each level and unless you are cured you will forever be in pain and having to increase your pain meds.. I have found MOST EVERYONE THERE TO BE VERY HELPFUL KIND AND CARING.. I moved a 4 hr drive from the office but for 3 yrs I made this ride for several reasons but one big one is the Dr & the staff..I think saying I was willing to drive 4hrs there and 4hrs home says A LOT.. I have just last month changed my Dr due to the long ride but I miss everyone and I am actually thinking of going back...Dealing with severe pain EVERYDAY changes your life forever having to deal with the added stress of new Dr and of course the new insane pill issues is very hard to do...Of course every person has their own perspective but for me NORTH FL PAIN CENTER IS ONE OF THE BEST and Dr Caudill really ccares...I WISH YOU ALL PAIN FREE DAYS

I was a patient at North Florida Pain Center for nearly 8 years. Throughout the years, I was mostly seen by the Physicians Assistant - Loubens Jean-Louis and then Thomas C. (TC) Drake, a couple of times by the Nurse Practitioner, Jennifer Hartsfield - Dr. Caudills sister, and about once a year by Dr. Jeffrey Caudill. No matter what I complained of, the only person to examine me was Loubens. Thomas Drake did not examine me, would waste much of my time talking about inappropriate conversation, just to extend the amount of time he would spend with me - thus his attempt to justify billing for Level 4 or Level 5 treatment - though he did not meet the criteria - and thus, he - along with the practice, including Dr. Caudill, comitted billing fraud on a regular basis...which I ultimately reported to my insurance company on more than one occasion, as I had acquired copies of my medical records, which showed falsified medical reports, which also indicated they alleged they performed an extensive physical exam, throughout these years. They had me maxed out on opiates, and kept pushing me towards spinal injections, thecal sac implants, and such...all of which are high risk procedures, more expensive procedures, which would require repeated treatments, with repeated risks. They failed to inform me of the compound pain creams which were available for years, with less toxicity to the liver and kidneys, and, which work exceptionally well - once I was prescribed such by my Primary Care Physician, when he saw how high the doses of my opiates were due to opioid tolerances.I asked No. Fl. Pain Center to step me down from the very high doses of opiates, once I discovered the compound pain creams, which they had knowledge of and did prescribe to other patients...they just never informed me of such - which is much better, and, causes less damage to the body, by topical pain creams. They also failed to step me down properly, by flying under the DEAs radar, of prescribing practices, versus what would be necessary per prescribing instructions...which ultimately caused me to spend many months of withdrawal symptoms, which Drake seemed to care nothing about - shrugging his shoulders, as if it was no big deal. After I reported the fraudulent billing and fraudulent medical reports to Tricare, who disclosed my identity to NFPC, they used 2 substitute doctors, to set me up to be discharged/dismissed from their practice, by Dr. Matthew T. Ranson, and, Dr. Joshu Alan Raiten - who was exceptionally hostile and antagonistic towards me, along with the Asst. Office Manager, Sherry Hatsfield, who upon my attempt to leave, after Raiten stormed out of the room, and she (being a large, over-bearing, and, repeatedly hostile person) towered over me, as I was attempting to leave the practice, forcing me back into the exam room, where she (not a clinical person) and Raiten, continued to be confrontational with me, and dismissed me unjustly, and, I have no doubt it was whistleblower retaliation. They ended up calling the police, under false pretense, stating I was refusing to leave the premises, and they also failed to provide the medical record, which I had requested from Ransons visit the previous month, of which I suspect he altered his report, when he found out the outcome of the visit with Raiten, the second substitute doctor...and stated I tried to bribe the police!Ranson & Raiten each prescribed medicines which I tried to ask them each questions about such new prescriptions, and, they refused to respond.Raitens Rx should never have been provided to a pt w/my medical hx, which could have caused me severe harm/death. He also falsified his report claiming I tried to bribe the police!Other staff was hostile to me, including throwing a BP cuff at me, because I asked her to sanitize her hands, after she handled urine cups without gloves. Also failed to assist me when I needed to sit due to severe hypotension and tachycardia.Get copies of your med recs, bills for fraud review. Beware of this, and, any practice. Nice is not always good.
