Just got a call 2 days before my appointment that has been scheduled for a month now that they cant see me due to missed appointments from another provider that I was having issues with. Ive talked to them numerous times prior to this and this is really poor communication and customer service. Beware and go somewhere else.****Update: I ended up giving birth at this facility and the experience was actually good. The nurses and doctors were very informative and professional. The facility was clean and the food was great. So I changed my rating from a one star to a four.

When I first found out I was pregnant and my fiancé and I decided we wanted to have a natural birth we researched so many places. And even though we lived in St. Augustine, we decided after our first appointment that it would be so worth the drive(s) for the check ups and ultimately the birth to have it at this facility. The women that work here are incredible. Every midwife I saw made me feel so great about my birth. When my water did break, they were there through me laboring at home to me making it to the birth center that night. Angela helped create serenity and peace and made me feel so confident in myself. We welcomed our first daughter into the world and had and amazing experience doing so. I can’t say enough about this amazing place. HAVE YOUR BABY HERE! And just do your own research while pregnant don’t be a passenger in your pregnant journey. Take control and ask questions!

I had my baby here a couple of months ago, and it was honestly such a beautiful birth. Afterwards I didnt feel nervous about having more children knowing that going natural felt so right to me and really worked perfectly. Its amazing what our bodies can do! The care that I experienced leading up to the birth was phenomenal; I really felt like the midwives cared about me and my baby. Id 100% recommend coming here if youre looking for a supportive group of midwives!

My wife and I had the most amazing birth experience with these folks. She was in labor for more than 24 hours in the birth center, and in spite of having to be transferred for arrested delivery, it was one of the most comfortable and relaxing facilities imaginable. All the midwives are kind, experienced and intelligent. They are experts at what they do. The facilities are clean, fresh and lavish. The soaker tub and shower provide a ton of relief. I would highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a natural child birth experience. **Must be low-risk pregnancy, and my wife wants to make sure I mention that natural child birth is not for everyone and actually ended up not being for us as well. But we transferred to the Labor and Delivery unit and had an equally amazing experience. Absolute best facility in town to give birth. I can’t say enough.

Wonderful birth experience. So much more comfortable than a typical hospital delivery. Nice beds to sleep-in, competent staff, mom and baby focused care, we were so happy with the care and the birthing experience.

I wish all three of my kids were born here! The best birth experience I have ever had. The midwives are fantastic, they really listen to you and try to be as accommodating as possible all throughout the pregnancy as well as the birthing experience. I joined them halfway through my third pregnancy as I had decided I wanted to finally experience a real natural birth with no medications and no stirrups or assistance from modern medicine. It was everything I could have dreamed of and more. Christy did an excellent job being the lead midwife during my third baby’s birth and Bree was awesome as well helping out. My husband wasn’t on board with the decision when we went to the consultation but he left it up to me to decide, but after all was said and done, he was extremely impressed and pleased with our decision. I was home before my kids even woke up to realize they had a new sibling. If you have a low risk pregnancy and are wanting to do things the natural way with less chance of interventions, definitely seek out the UF north birth center!!!!

I had two amazing births at this beautiful facility. Definitely the best place in Jacksonville for a natural labor and delivery!

I loved this clinic. Everything I could of asked for.

I was referred here by tricare to remove birth control in my arm. Tricare told me I had everything I needed and to call them to schedule a appointment. They literally gave me the run around. I was constantly put on hold and given three different answers. The first one being: 1) the provider was going out of the country. So I asked could I make an appointment with a different one? They suggested I go “next door” but tricare only authorized procedures in this office. 2) then I was told my code from tricare doesn’t include the procedure 3) and finally I was told that after speaking to the director they would need to talk to “the” midwife and see if they want to establish a new patient. So what I gathered was it is up to the midwives to pick and choose who or what they want to do. I recommend finding somewhere else to go because these people obviously do not care and have no idea what they are doing. I will be making a complaint with UF as well!!!!

We had the best experience at UF birth center. Cindy has a heart of gold and we couldn’t be more thankful for the care that we received during our pregnancy and delivery.

Its difficult to review this place without giving you my full birth story. It was such a wonderful experience I have trouble seperating the birth from the facility and the midwives and nurses.This was my first time being pregnant, and like any soon-to-be first time mom; I had a million questions. They were answered with patience and objectivity.My birth experience was remarkable and will always serve as a source of inspiration and strength. My son was born on new years weekend and ended up being very jaundiced. Ashley, the midwife who did my post partum check, stayed in contact with me the entire Sunday while we figured out where I had to go to get that check done and to make sure he was ok after the check was completed. All of the midwives and nurses consistantly go above and beyond to empower you to have the experience you want, help you get established breastfeeding, and make sure you and your little one are healthy afterwards.

We had our baby here and it was the best situation we could have dreamed of!
